I updated to the latest version and all patches with clear cache but I can’t seem to get the Video Embed(youtube) to show up as the featured image for the post on the main blog page. Images are showing fine just not the Video Embed. I’m using the Medium blog layout. Something I’m doing wrong or a known issue from this update?
Hello!
This was an issue in beta but was fixed before release. Are you using 5.1.1? Also, try to go to theme options > advacned > dynamic cs/js and click on “reset Fusion Caches” and see if that fixes it.
Also, try to clear your own cache, browser, plugin, server.
If the issue persists, please signup at our support center and submit a new ticket. Include all the details about the issue, your site URL and version of Avada. For faster service, please include your WP and FTP login info when creating the ticket. Our support experts will check it out and let you know.

Yup updated to 5.1.1 and then applied all patches one at a time. Then proceeded to Reset Fusion Cache and all browser and plugin cache. I’ll create a support ticket then. Possible that it didn’t make it out in the release?
Hmm no cause they are working on our end, for example here: https://avada.theme-fusion.com/donec-at-mauris-enim-duis-nisi-tellus/
Yeah create a ticket, we can investigate further.
thanks!
On the contact form template there is no spacing between the submit button and the footer. I tried everything that normally works. How do I get this?
Hello!
This is most likely due to no bottom padding on your page. You can add this in Theme Options > Layout; (see > http://prntscr.com/ek0bkb)
If you have any trouble with that, or need additional help, please sign up at our support center and submit a new ticket. Be sure to include all the details you have about the issue, your site URL and version of Avada.

Are these templates compatible with BuddyPress?
Hello!
Thank you for your question. Yes, Avada is compatible with BuddyPress but we don’t currently have design integration. So your BuddyPress elements will have standard styling through the plugin.
Thank you!
-Weston
Can you add this to your update list as well as Lifter LMS?
It’s on our list already
We do not have an ETA for it, but it is highly requested and we’d like to get a custom design out for it as soon as we can for BuddyPress.
For Lifter LMS, it’s compatible, but we do not plan on adding a custom design for that one specifically, we’d be adding LearnDash or Sensei probably before that one.
Thanks!
Hi,
Is the rich snippet visible on the page/post?
Hello!
No, that meta information is added the the page’s HTML and hidden. So it’s only read by search engines.
Thank you!

Also, could you be more descriptive with what happened?
There are two common things we are seeing that are causing users to think the site is messed up, yet it’s really not.
1 – cache not being cleared out fully. This includes browser, plugin and server cache. As well as resetting fusion cache which is here: http://d.pr/i/VnXR
2 – the update process .. did you delete the old folders (Avada, Fusion Core, Fusion Builder?) ... that is how WP works, you must remove the old folders when you update and not “replace”.
One of those will cause your site to look “destroyed” but is not a theme bug.
We also hope you open a ticket, or check out the above two situations and see that it does work. Our staff can clearly show you this. Rating us one star for something that is not a theme bug is unfair, we’d love to show the truth of the matter.
Hey.
I am having some trouble translating some parts of a couple of my pages, after latest update.
I have uploaded Avada-nb_no to avada -> languages folder.
Most of what i want translated is translated, but for some reason By (Author) and the word Tags on the blog is not translated into Norwegian.
It is not a big deal, but still annoying
I have used the same mo and po files as before and uploaded, and double checked in poedit, and the words are translated there, but not on my pages.
Any idea what i might be doing wrong?
Hello!
Have you made sure you updated to the latest files? You can grab them from our public repo here: https://github.com/Theme-Fusion/Localization-l10n ... just click the green “clone/download” button and choose “download zip”. They will be inside. Make sure to keep a backup of the files you currently have though
However if that does not resolve it, please open a support ticket so we can take a look at it for you in detail
Click Here To Create An Account & Get Avada Support
Thank you!
Yeah i have downloaded it from there. I see also the Loading the next set of posts… is also not translated. Is there anywhere else than avada – languages i should place the translation?
That location should be fine, something is amiss. You can also store them elsewhere so they are not removed during an update, see this post: https://theme-fusion.com/avada-doc/translations/storing-translation-files/
So “By Author” and “Tags” along with “Loading the next set of posts…” is not translating for you correct?
Please open up a ticket so one of our developers can look at your install, all of those should be working without issue.
We’ll be able to take a look at it and let you know.
Thanks!
Also the “Loading the next set of posts…” is in class-fusion-scripts.php.
Yes those are not translated. And i see on posts that have 0 comments, the “0 comments” is not translated either. While on the related posts under who has 0 comments, the “0 Comments” is translated into the string i have put in Poedit. So its kinda weird! I will open a ticket on it. Where do i find the class-fusion-scrips file? Thought perhaps in includes, but could not find it there. At least i can edit that string.
That is weird! Here is the path for that script: http://d.pr/i/ZYLt
I’m still waiting to hear from support. I first wrote 03/09/17, and when I didn’t get even an autoresponder. I waited until yesterday to write again, and still no autoresponder for my ticket, no nothing. I really need answers to my questions. What gives?

Hello!
Yes support is supposed to be handled on our site, we have a full support center with ticket system, community forum, online docs, videos, etc.
See this post here to signup for an account there: https://theme-fusion.com/avada-doc/getting-started/avada-theme-support/
For your issue, we’d need to take a loser look at your site to see what is going on. I was not able to replicate with a quick setup so we’ll need to investigate that for you.
Thanks!
Hi, For the last 3 days i keep getting this error : http://prntscr.com/ejvbjk. (our page content could not be converted. Most likely it was created with an earlier (pre 5.0) version of Avada. To update old content to Avada 5.0 or higher, you must go through conversion.)
And every time the page is broken and i had to redo it , I have the latest theme version and patches ? what is going on since this is getting very frustrating.
Hello!
This unfortunately means you have invalid markup on those pages, probably from older versions before we had a builder.
Did you build those pages with shortcodes? Even an empty space in one can cause that.
Have you tried to submit a ticket to our team so we can check it out for you?

Hi, Today i did a new page, everything from scratch – latest theme version, latest patches , latest everything and after 2 hour of work my page got broken again – Fusion Builder not loading – Page needs to be converted. .....
I’m not gonna go and ask for support simply because i will not use your theme anymore. I do not know why this is happening but i’m very disappointing that mighty avada is not able to save a page and li lost 3 days trying to work with it.
Thanks
Hello!
We’re sorry uyou are having this, but the only way that message can show up is if there is invalid markup.
“Page needs to be converted.” ...means you were not using the builder, did you switch to default editor?
I’m sorry but why not let us show you? I assure you 100% this is not a theme or builder issue. Please, send us a ticket or email, I promise you we can show you what went wrong. info@theme-fusion.com
This is not the theme or builder fault and you should really give us the chance to show you. You are passing up on Avada, the #1 selling theme, because of something that is not even a bug.
That error means you are using the default editor, then converting it to the builder.
And since you originally had this issue, most likely you were copying old content from the previous page? Is that correct?
That means something in that content is not valid markup. When you do not use the builder 100% of the time, and insert shortcodes, when editing, if you even leave a space or a ” off, it will not convert. That is true for any theme, it’s invalid markup.
If you send us the page, we can check it for you.

Hello!
How did you update? Did you clear caches?
The update does work so common things we’ve seen are …
1 – cache not being cleared out fully.
Also, make sure you have the latest version which is 5.1.1

This theme is very versatile but updating it has become a complicated task every time with a lot of headaches and back and forth with the support team. WP is meant to be simple, built for most users with basic knowledge of WP and not seasoned developers. And if I may suggest, it would be fantastic to leave the Fusion builder alone and not to change the working tool so often. It’s like having people to learn a new keyboard layout every time. Could you please post an update here when a debugged version is uploaded and ready for installation (without having to mess up with the patches etc). Thank you very much!

Hello There
Updating is not complicated as long as it’s updated properly. Can you explain what has been complicated, I’m sure there are valid reasons.
We see two common issues every time a major release is issued and they are not the fault of the theme:
1 – cache not being cleared out fully. This includes browser, plugin and server cache. As well as resetting fusion cache which is here: http://d.pr/i/VnXR
2 – the update process .. did you delete the old folders (Avada, Fusion Core, Fusion Builder?) ... that is how WP works, you must remove the old folders when you update and not “replace”.
If you have further questions or are experiencing issue, our support team is happy to help.
Please remember, we spend months on these updates for you, our customers to enjoy new features. And we spend 4 weeks beta testing with over 300 customers on Github. You do not have to update if you do not want, but again, updating should not be complicated as we go through a rigorous process to ensure it’s not, as do our 300+ beta customers. We’d never release an update if it was complicated, that would mean it’s not ready for release yet.
Thanks
Thank you for a quick reply. I love the options I can get with Avada. To answer your question, I follow the steps closely and when I moved from 4.X.X to 5.X.X it’s been a hoot and a half with over a week of support trying to figure out why none of my setting would carry over despite all correct efforts. With other WP themes it’s been as easy as pushing the automatic update button once and be done with it. I understand this theme is more complex and therefore might require multiple complicated updating steps. I am just scared to see how many people are currently experiencing broken website pages and bugs and I doubt it’s their first ever theme update. With every new update some of my plugins stop being compatible and break the website, so as you advised I will just stick around until the new release
You are welcome
For the comments you are seeing, make sure to read them in full including our replies and their reply back.
For example, one’s that say it’s broken at first, end up fixed when we find out what happened (cache not cleared, replaced the folder instead of deleting it, etc.) The vast majority turn out to be one of those 2 things I mentioned, in fact all of them are right now because there are no “breakable” items in the 5.1.1 update.
Also, those types of comments always show up for any update and for every theme. You can look around at any of the top themes and see them whenever an update is released. Unfortunately things get blown out of proportion when it’s usually always something small, but we understand because we relate to our customers and know if they update and something is wrong, it is upsetting. A big part of it is also following directions, knowing what to expect, etc. It’s our job to help everyone and inform them of things and get them through it.
In addition, anytime we issue a major update, it’s been tested for at least 4 weeks by our entire team (around 20) and 300+ beta customers. And, all of our live demos are updated with it. We’d never release an update if there were known issues. But any developer will admit, bugs are a part of software, you can’t always avoid them. However, you can avoid them as much as possible and if you do find them, be on top of it and issue patches and fixes as soon as you can, which we always do.
For your update you went from 4x to 5x … that does require Fusion Builder conversion because we completely rebuilt it from the ground up. Did you undergo conversion?
We always are diligent about listing out any important information in our updates post, for example, here is the archive, ch3ck out v5 updates: https://theme-fusion.com/knowledgebase/important-update-information-archive/
Now it sounds like you were on 4.x.x and updated to 5.1.1 correct? Did you undergo conversion screens as listed out in #1 on that post? If not, go to system status tab and you can manually click the button to do it.
That is not a typical update btw, that was done for our customers because they wanted a better page builder. We built one, and we ensured that it was backwards compatible for our customers, that is why conversion was needed. So while that may seem complicated to the customer and make them think “why do we need to do this, I only want to update” ... it had to be done so your old Fusion Builder pages converted to the new Fusion Builder format.
If we did not do that, then everyone would of had to rebuild every page. There are always reasons for why something like that is added, and we’ve only done it twice in our history and for good reason. Avada 4.0 had a new theme options panel, so for customers who updated (not new installs, old installs updating) they need to keep all their theme option settings. So a conversion script is needed to move them all over to the new Theme Options panel.
The same is said for the 5.0 update and Fusion Builder as described above. All of this is done for backwards compatibility. Those updates were in the past, but it sounds like you did ont update to 5.0 yet and just now did so underwent it. However there shouldn’t of been any issues.
In regards to your plugins not working, you can’t automatically assume that is the theme’s fault. There are 2 pieces of software communicating together. Any plugin we advertise for or recommend, we fully test before release and work with their teams to ensure compatibility. We can’t control other people’s code outside of that.
What issues are you experiencing? Or are you just leaving a general comment?
If anything comes up, submit a ticket here and our team will gladly help! https://theme-fusion.com/support-ticket/

Hi, Is it possible to compare two or more products in this theme? Thanks in advnace
Hello!
This theme is one product as a while. Do you mean compare it to another theme, like through a trial period? If so we do not offer that, sorry!
Let us know if you have any specific questions about Avada.
Thanks
Worst update ever! Luckily my backup isn’t that old… Still waste of time though.
I suggest better Beta tests in the future since this is disaster
Hello!
What was your issue when updating? We have the majority of our users already updated and loving it.
Could you please describe what went wrong? It could be something extremely simple.
And btw, we do beta test, with 300+ customers just like yourself on Git
Thanks
It would be way too long and difficult to write what went wrong…
I solved all the issues by doing following:
1. Download latest Avada from TF
2. Delete entire Avada folder from the site via FTP
3. Upload it manually via FTP
4. Activate theme again via admin
5. All works fine…
My guess is that issue was with the updater itself since that is the only way I can explain this mystery…
Perhaps you should offer this solution to others having an issues – it might help them as well.
Thanks for the info.
That is exactly how you should update though.
When you update, old folders should be removed. That is how WP works.
For example, when you update a theme through WP, it deletes the old theme folder and adds a new one. It can’t keep the old one because it might contain old files that can cause issues.
We have those directions in our docs and what we do tell each customer.
Glad your issue is resolved
Sure… But it clearly something went disastrously wrong when doing update via WP and things magically got solved when manual update was applied.
Go figure… ?
Anyway – I wouldn’t exactly advertise what I did ‘as solution’ but it is defo worth a try in case things go downhill with usual (wp) way of updating.
The first time you updated was via WP? If so then it’s quite possibly some files were not updated or removed. That can happen on servers and of course it automatically looks like it’s a theme issue. But the fact that it works when uploaded via FTP shows something clearly did go wrong when updating via WP. Or, it also could of been cache on the server, which we’ve also seen.
Thanks!
Yes, the first time I did it via WP and of course I cleared all the cache and more ending up nearly pulling my hair out
And THEN I did manual update via FTP and it all worked fine…
Yeah then something did not get deleted fully is my guess, or the other way around and something did not get fully uploaded. That could be only explanation since you did clear cache.
Glad it’s resolved
If anything else comes up, submit a ticket here and our team will gladly help! https://theme-fusion.com/support-ticket/

Hello i did the last update and impossible to uptade the plugins i’ve this message for all the plugin : Something went wrong with the plugin API.
Hello!
Are you using Avada 5.1.1? It appears as it you may not of updated the theme if you are getting that message.
Make sure you are on v5.1.1 of Avada, then update the plugins. Might be worth starting over downloading a fresh copy of the theme and uploading it. Delete the old theme folder, and add the new one. Make sure it is v5.1.1

A really horrible theme to update – very complicated – breaks the site. Had to roll back to previous back up. and this is just a point update within v5 – my woocommerce product pages are completely broken with massive images at the top. I’ve done regenerate thumbnails etc, etc, but this hasn’t worked – nor should it be necessary. Very unhappy client and will be changing to another theme as soon as time and budget allows.

Hello,
We assure you the update works, and is not complicated.
Everything you described simply sounds like cache. Did you try to clear Fusion Cache in theme options > advanced > Dynamic CSS/JS?
All of our demo sites are up to date, a huge portion of our customer base is also.
Please submit a ticket for us so we can chose you and get you updated.
Thanks
Well your team have attempted an update and left me with a broken site – had no more success than I did. Guess I’ll have to roll back again and forget ever updating this theme. I’ve got clients looking at a web site that is clearly broken and looks awful. It’s a real shame, this is one of the most expensive themes I’ve ever bought on themeforest and the most complicated to work with.
I’m sorry but your site looks perfectly fine to me, I am viewing it in the ticket itself. I’d post it here but not without your permission.
And yes, you are on Avada 5.1.1 http://d.pr/i/c5Ma
Your last reply said home page sldieshow is not working … that is also not true, it works perfectly fine as seen in this video: http://quick.as/vR78CL50p
It does not help to post negative comments here, while our team is helping you in your actual ticket.
Your site is running fine, you are most likely only seeing cache. I will reply back to your ticket now again to clarify your last questions.
Simply allow us to help you as we have been.
Also, your sidebars are on your shop pages: http://d.pr/i/sojm
Again, a lot of times this is only due to cache, since you are always on your site it is cached heavily in your browser. I’ve never visited your site til now so it’s never been cached. Your home page slider works fine, your sidebars are fine.
Our staff has just replied with the same details …
Ammar Siddiqui replied 4 mins ago
Hey Nelmat.
1. The Home slider loads fine for me => http://prntscr.com/ejufg4 2. Sidebars are also there => http://prntscr.com/ejufo4 3. No issue with the shortcodes => http://prntscr.com/ejug0n
Please check using incognito mode as well.
