Hello guys, I have a small doubt about the blog filters… is there any option to use a HORIZONTAL FILTER (just like the one in the portfolio’s option) in the blog shortcode? Instead of using sidebars? Thanks!

(Client Question) Not sure if I’m missing anything, but I’ve checked the entire theme panel and nowhere can I set the colors of any text on the site outside of the accent colors. Do I have to do everything in CSS?

Could you specify what text you’re trying to color? You can easily change colors of any text in a text block via a color picker, the custom heading element (added in 8.0) can also display text as any color defined by you in the element. You can also set the text color globally via the options panel > general settings > styling

The menu font color, the heading colors, etc. Not many options for that.

Hello guys. There seems to be an issue with the “minimal portfolio” demo. It’s works great on my imac, but on my laptop running chrome it only shows 3 portfolio items and the grid is not right.
I looked at your demo site, and it has the same issue. When using Safari, it works fine.

Maybe I’m missing something here, but there seems to be an issue when using the ‘Full Width Content’ below 1000px. See https://www.flexxcreative.com/web-design-development/wordpress-web-design/ for a visual example.
It seems to add a weird negative left margin and is doing it on all elements set to Full Width Content.

I think it may be a glitch in Salient. I had realized when ‘Header Permanent Transparent’ is on you cannot use the header search function unless you scroll down, then while the search bar is open if you scroll up it goes away again.
Although this may just be an issue with my site I thought I should let you know because I cannot test this with other sites.
http://vetgraphics.comI just realized that the header search bar also breaks while over the portfolio element on my home page. It only seems to work while over the ‘WooCommerce Products’ element.

the later being a portfolio layout obviously and portfolio items linked to it.
The problem I have is.
I want the first page http://www.crewbuild.com/facades/ to look exactly like the second page www.crewbuild.com/gallery-completed/ in terms of layout and look to it but instead of when you click the portfolio item it goes through to another page showing the portfolio, id like it to just show a pop up image on the same screen exactly in the same way the first page does http://www.crewbuild.com/facades/ (if you go to the page and click one of the facades you’ll see the image pop up to show you what i mean)
I dont know the best way to do this.
Im thinking is it somehow possible to override the code so that when the portfolio item gets clicked it shows an image pop up on the screen instead of taking you to another page for that portfolio item.
One important thing is. I dont want the image that pops up to be the same image as is selected as the image for each portfolio item
I want one to have text over it for the name of the portfolio and then one without text popping up on the screen

There’s no way to have a full gallery separate for each project show in a lightbox from the main portfolio page, when you enable the lightbox only mode for a portfolio it simply turns all the projects into one connected gallery. If you’re okay with just having one image per project but you just need it to be different than the one displayed in the grid, this would be possible. Just use the custom thumbnail upload in your project settings metabox as well as the featured image. The featured image will be the one which opens in the lightbox, and the custom thumbnail will be the one which displays in the grid

In the home pages of your demos, you have sliders at the very top of every page. However, when the demos are imported (to see how they were compiled), there were no sliders added within the top of the page. How are they, somehow, displaying when I test the page?
Also, how do you stop your nectar sliders from collapsing on mobile? I’ve tried flexible height, yet, it’s still really short on mobile and cuts off about 1/3rd of the bottom.
The Flexible Height of the slider is not working with Full Width Content but it does work with FW Background (for mobile). However, it shrinks the height of the slider. Is this a bug?

Hey clixgroup, the page header output function is called “nectar_page_header” and is located in the functions.php – changing the h1 in there should alter it

i’m using the centered header option in visual composer. I was wondering, how can I have the heading text as one color and set another color for the line underneath? there dosent seem to be an option in the menu for the centered heading

Hi, when I add a Salient feature “icon with text”, the “search icon field” does not work. It doesn’t provide any results. Quite unhandy as one had to scroll one by one the zillion icons.

Nectar slider and responsiveness – would there by a way currently to handler content within slides as www.sydneyoperahouse.com do it – copy on top of slides until the breakpoint, and then they inverse the colour and drop it under the slider image – smart solution – is that possible with salient? As of now this would require custom development if you’re using the parallax effect on your slider – if not, you could hide the slider via the column responsive options on the mobile viewport and reveal another row setup like that on mobile only
