Do not worry guys, if there has been update, you would already know it through your WP Admin Dashboard.
We were actually just changing the preview image here (on ThemeForest item page). But due to Envato system it looks like there has been issued update.

This is kind of tricky questions. WordPress lacks any standardization, so if you are migrating any website from one theme to another, you will need to re-do the pages again. So if you want to migrate your site to any other theme, you will be left with manual migration.

I don’t know if it’s me but when I fill in my purchase code as license key and add my email adress and hit the ‘show license’ button, nothing is happening. Also this is not working in anothe browser. So now my question is, is the purchase code of envato the license key or am I doing something wrong?
update: As I found that the purchase code is the same as the license key, I’m quite sure that the ‘show license’ button is not working properly. I’m running newest version of WordPress and Ark Theme.

Well… Watching instructional videos i noticed that there are possibility to use Background Layers to every Section… Background Layers can be Image, Video, Color, Parallax etc… My question was is it possible maybe to include here some form of slider as an option? Revolution or Custom Slider from Ark theme… Practically im aiming to have Background Slider on every page and then put on that Page Layout..

I think that can be achieved by using the included Revolution Slider plugin, just add slide images, disable controls and make it auto-slide. Then a few lines of CSS could position it as a background for the whole website – we could help you with this customization via our support ticket system (for free).

Oh i see…thank you for your answer… Although i was more thinking about some permanent dynamic option&solition for Section background that could be used on mobile devices for example… This theme is something different. Thank you very much for your answers…

Images cannot be delivered with the theme, because of the licensing. This is standard for all WP themes. But we went the extra mile and instead of replacing the images with black image with “placeholder” text, we creted script to pixelate them, so it’s much more user friendly

I have little problem with Portfolio Archive. I set up “Filter” but it doesn’t work. First of all, the list of categories is not displayed on Portfolio Archive. I get only the All link. Second of all, no matter which category of post I pick (url) I get all of posts from all categories.

Hi, just two question about licenses activation:
1) On localhost domain, can I activate The Ark theme on two (or more) WordPress installations for different testing reasons? the license count will reduce?
2) On real domains, if the theme is activated on main domain (www.example.com) and on a subdomain (blog.example.com), it will go count as 1 or 2 activations?

One License can be active only on one site at any given moment, not more. But the License can be activated on upto 5 other sites. Each new activation will automatically deactivate the previous activation. Localhost, different subdomains and TLDs count towards your activation limit as well.
Example: You start developing on localhost and activate your License there – now you have 4 activations left. Then you transfer your website to a production server and activate your License there – now you have 3 activations left. Note that the License activated on localhost has been automatically deactivated thanks to License activation on the new production server.
Should you need more than 5 activations, please contact us and we will be more than happy to change the limit for you manually.

I think this theme is very promising, and your approach is indeed “fresh”. But I have problems with custom taxonomy archives and custom post archives. I get white pages. I tried assigning several different layouts in the Sitemap and the result is always a white page, no header, no title, simply nothing.
I can display single custom posts and they behave according to the layout chosen. Normal category archives, search pages work fine. But not custom taxonomy/post archives.
I use Toolset (WP-Types/Views) to manage custom content. Is your theme compatible with Toolset at all? Or perhaps I must activate something to make custom archives work? At first my custom posts were also all-white, but after I assigned a layout they displayed properly.

OK, thanks. I’d like to switch to Ark for several or all new projects, because I think your theme is very promising, but I cannot troubleshoot basic things on every site. Is the issue with taxonomy loops something that you’re aware of or is it a problem of my site?
In your roadmap you mention custom posts integration and loop creation. Is my issue related to the fact that you’re still working on these features? It’s not a problem for me, because this project is not urgent and I can wait (a little). But before purchasing additional licences I need that such basic things as loops work out of the box, without troubleshooting. When do you expect to complete this integration, more or less. Is it like 1 month, 3 months or 5 months?
Perhaps, you could mention in the FB group what to expect after it is ready. It is very interesting to me. I use Toolset Views to design loops and I hope it will continue to work.
Generally, I like your approach that you focus on layout options rather than on gimmicks (as many other themes). I think your theme will be great for advanced webmasters, but basic things should work out of the box Cheers

Hi Freshface, I tried to troubleshoot on my own. I solved the CPT archives by adding ”$args[‘post_type’] = ‘cpt-slug’; in Advanced Loop Settings.
As for taxonomy loops, I think Ark has a conflict with Toolset-Types. When it is activated, the loop prints a white screen, not even a header/footer. But when I deactivate Types, the same URL prints a standard blog (then obviously the taxonomy is not recognized anymore).
If you download Toolset-Types from WordPress and create a taxonomy in it, I think you will experience the same issue with that loop. I reinstalled the site with minimal plugins to check again. I think it is a general conflict Ark/Types and not related specifically to my site. Perhaps some PHP code should be added to loop settings.
Other than that, the theme is fantastic, exactly what I have been looking for! But I also need Toolset/Types to work… Cheers!

Hi there, everytime I activate revslider it crashes my site and just displays a white page with some info about html etc and I have to re-install again

I am having trouble finding out how to (or if it is possible to) add a page to the main menu that looks like a button (red background with white text or something like that) so that it stands out from the rest.
How would I utilize the Header tool to build this?

In “Ark > Headers > Your header” there are options for adding “Custom Content”, you can utilise that feature to insert a “Template” which can contain anything you can create with Fresh Builder (so a button is certainly possible).
