Thank you for that example. You would be able to make a homepage like that in Avada. Since that is a different theme, there are some features which wouldn’t overlap 100%. However, the slider at the top of the page is a Layer Slider (the image area at the top of the page which responds to the mouse moving over it). The Layer Slider is included free with the Avada theme purchase.
The parallax effect for the full width background image areas can be implemented with the container element. We have that effect demoed here > https://avada.theme-fusion.com/architecture/
This counter section can be reproduced with Avada’s counter circle / counter box elements. (See > http://prntscr.com/ero6yf)

As for the contact form section, that can be created easily in Contact Form 7, which is a plugin you can add through the Avada plugin’s page. This plugin is design integrated with Avada and will allow you to create many different custom forms for your site.

Hi! Since the latest update my page has some problem. Sometimes when I click on any subpage the Toogle, do not open it, some character appear the site url, example: c9cd782b2c6667d41. The columns size are not same… etc. When i refresh the actual page in the browser, the toogles and everything are works well. I didn’t add any new plugin and i was reset the Fusion Cache. What is the problem?

This looks like a JS related issue, Can you please check your console for any possible JS related errors and see if any 3rd party plugin specially cache plugin is causing this for you?
Try to disable your cache plugins (if you have) in this case please, also if you are on a child theme try to switch to parent theme and check again and also try using any other browser other than your main browser, if the issue is intermittent than it sounds like cache is playing its role somewhere.

I have Avada 5.0.4 theme. in Breadcrumbs, “Breadcrumbs Prefix” & “Breadcrumbs Separator” not working. In front side it display “You are here: Home » Contact”. I want to remove “You are here:” text & change sign ” »” to ”/”. but from theme options it not working.

You can edit the custom saved templates from the same tab that you would load them onto the page. Just select the “Edit” button > http://prntscr.com/eqxe9d
Note, that will edit the template so the change will apply to any newly imported pages. However, it won’t affect the content that has already been imported to the page from this template.

Hello, I have a site which has 50+ pages used for staff members, I want to convert those pages to portfolio items (using the plugin https://wordpress.org/plugins/post-type-switcher/), so I can have a portfolio page (staff profile page) that can use filters for categories (which I’m going to use for job type) and use the ‘portfolio’ builder element to show thumbnails of all staff on the homepage. The problem is when I convert the pages to portfolio pages, they convert the URL to include /portfolio-item/ e.g. from www.thewebsite.com/persons-name to www.thewebsite.com/portfolio-item/persons-name which I can’t have for SEO history reasons. Is is possible to remove /portfolio-item/ from the slug? Thanks

You can change the portfolio slug through Theme Options > Portfolio > General Portfolio; then set your custom slug name.
Once this is changed, be sure to go to WP Admin > Settings > Permalinks; and save the settings.

I was asking how to remove the /portfolio-item/ part of the URL, not rename it.

Unfortunately, the slug cannot be removed as it’s needed for WordPress to properly identify the Portfolio post type when trying to navigate. Though it can’t be removed, it can be changed to any custom slug of your choice.

You’ll need to reset your Fusion Cache after applying patches in Avada 5.1.4. This is located in Theme Options > Advanced > Dynamic CSS & JS;
Avada will automatically clear these caches in the following update, but for the current version, just click the Reset Fusion Caches button and that should correct this for you.

Since the portfolio element’s main focus is on the image, it doesn’t have the layout with the smaller image + text beside it for the archive / Portfolio Posts page. You can, however, do the half image half text/content in the single portfolio post page > http://bit.ly/2nDJhUt
Additionally, the layout asked about is available through the Blog element with blog posts. Depending on your intended use, you may consider using that over the portfolio element. That is demoed here > http://bit.ly/2kxSA72

Thank you for your question. The AMP plugin is compatible with Avada, however, we don’t have any demos with this plugin active. The reason for this is the plugin dequeues all the theme CSS and JS resources and only loads its own stylesheet. That is how it achieves the speed increases, but it leaves the site looking lackluster and removes a lot of Avada functionality. We want to demonstrate Avada’s mobile abilities and responsive behavior on our demos, so we do not use this plugin.

Please make sure that you are assigning the images as featured images and not adding them via an image frame or an attachment, in order for listing page to show them they need to be added as featured images.
Make sure there is no JS error in console causing this issue with the images or any 3rd party plugin either, however if you still don’t see them we will suggest you to please open a new ticket and our team will gladly take a look into it.

Hi, While updating from Avada 3 to Avada 5 i get message “The Fusion-Core plugin needs to be updated before your site can exit maintenance mode. Please follow this link to update the plugin.” If I click this link it just starts update to Avada 5, then says Converting language 1 of 3 Done ! and then just stops forever. Website is broken now and I can not access wp-admin Please help to fix this !

I’m sorry to hear you’re having trouble. This issue could be due to a plugin conflict. Do you use WPML? If so, this issue will occur on an older version of their plugin. To get access to the WP admin again you can: Option 1) Access your site through FTP or cPanel, then go to wp-content/plugins/ and change the name of the WPML plugin. That will disable the plugin and give you access to the dashboard again. You’ll need to re-run the Theme Options migration again after updating the plugin. This would be done through the Avada System Status page.
Option 2) Disable the Avada theme by changing its name in wp-content/themes/
That will give you access to the WP Admin again, but at this point, the problem would need to be investigated further if the above method didn’t work.
