Hello,
For my eccomcerce website,
I have a navgivation menu at the top of the page. I have a section called “SHOP” and when i hover over it, a “sub item” shows up and I can click on it.
I have recently added a second sub item, under “SHOP” however it does not show up.
Ive tried multiple times, but I still can not figure it out.
Can you please help me with this

I have resolved the issue, however I have encountered another.
A lot of the times what the problem is when Im making updates to my website, I do not see the changes I have made immediately.
For example, right now I added a few slides to the “Nectar Slider” and deleted some of my old ones. But when I look at the website, I don’t see the new slides I have added, and still see my old ones which should have been deleted.
I emptied the cache on both my browser and wordpress but still don’t see changes.
What is the issue?

Hi there, the video player pop up is very small on Mobile. The actual youtube video is just a thin strip. On desktop the full youtube video pops up in a normal size player, but not on mobile. Any reason why this would be?

Hey – just a heads up.
On Windows 7, 4K monitor with scaling at 125%, latest Chrome browser….
Salient displays the low-res header logo rather than the Retina one. I couldn’t tell you which of the above specs might actually cause the issue, but I can tell you for sure that it’s a Salient thing. X and other themes show the correct retina version of the logo on the same setup.

Hey dimage, you can set that in the Salient options panel > typography > navigation & page header tab – the option is called “Off Canvas Navigation”

I was wondering how I can hide Salient Studio from my client? They need to be able to create and set up pages with the VC but being able to see Salient Studio gives away that it is not a bespoke theme.

No, what I meant was I went to the screen option to enable the discussion option and enable comments in the back-end, didn’t add anything to page.php, do I need to?
On the portfolio section there is an option to turn that current post into a “gallery” and I am wondering if this could be is but how would I do this with Video?

hey I’m running on 8.0 and Woocommerce 2.6.14. After adding a category the new categories never appear as a Product Type when adding Woocomerce via the “Add Element” using Page Builder. Only the defaults (All, Sale Only, Featured Only, Best Selling Only) present.

Hi, there. We’ve purchased the Salient theme and downloaded the Woocommerce Social Login plugin. As you can see, on this page (https://fivenines.wpengine.com/my-account/), the Login buttons only appear under “Login” but not under the “Register” fields. Can you please advise as to how to get the Social Login buttons to appear under “Register” as well? Thanks!

Hey I managed to fix it. Thank you . I just have one more issue. Why my social media buttons don’t appear on mobile menu. Both off canvas menu add social and off canvas menu mobile nav menu items are enabled.

Hey Mariska! As of now that would require some custom development unfortunately – the Salient Google maps will shrink on mobile devices, but there’s no option to make them stick to the side like in that URL

Was looking to load some custom (non-google) fonts to site and was wondering if there was a way to upload them so I can pick from the current theme list in settings. Perhaps via FTP? Or is code modification via @font-face the only real way of accomplishing this? Thanks in advance!

Hi. Is there a way to create a blog module on a page that only shows three boxes (one large box with two stacked next to it)? I’d want it to be similar to the larger, masonry grid you have on this demo: http://themenectar.com/demo/salient-blog/author/themenectar/
Example is - larger box (Portit Mollis Vitate) - smaller box 1 (Video Post) - smaller box 2 ( Courage is note …)

If you used css to change the sizing like so:
body #post-area.masonry.meta_overlaid .masonry-blog-item.regular {
width: 50%!important;
}
you’d still need to change the image sizing for the regular post size from 500×500 to 1000×500 as to not mess up the grid – this would be done in the nectar_add_image_sizes function

I’m a designer. I live in Photoshop, AE and all the adobe stuff. So, I only know very basic. So, I really appreciate the help!
Question: When editing a .php file, what editor should I use, TextEdit (mac) or should I edit in the WordPress Editor (Appearance/Editor)?
In a related thought, I need to understand what a Salient “child them” is. There’s a plugin (UberMenu) that I might use. The install notes are telling me that I edit it.
Hey, 1. editing in a text editor is safer since you’ll have syntax highlighting which will help you avoid writing incorrect code which could trigger a fatal error – either way make sure you’re comfortable with FTP incase you upload and something breaks and you need to quickly revert
