I got these in my admin panel after installation. 1- Broken Themes The following themes are installed but incomplete. Name Description Salient Child Theme The parent theme is missing. Please install the “salient” parent theme. 2- Your theme (Salient) contains outdated copies of some WooCommerce template files. These files may need updating to ensure they are compatible with the current version of WooCommerce. You can see which files are affected from the system status page. If in doubt, check with the author of the theme.

1. Did you try and install the child theme instead of the actual theme?
2. The current version of Salient (8.0.15) does not contain any outdated template files
Can you open a ticket in regards withy your admin credentials so I can take a look further into these for you?
Child theme installation done but the message “(Salient) contains outdated copies” is still there.I can provide you the screen shot.

1. You’re using version 8.0.1 as shown in your screenshot – the version of Salient which is compatible with the current version of WooCommerce is 8.0.15
2. I would recommend Yoast SEO
how to upgrade it to 8.0.1?
when using a custom template inside a page/product page its not looking mobile responsive. images are going out of the frame in mobile.

1. WooCommerce update the default product gallery a little in 3.0+, but Salient itself has not changed any styling for WooCommerce
2. Adding custom fonts that are not a part of Google fonts would require custom css (@font-face)

I have updated client website on latest salient version I feel that Salient latest version is not containing latest WooCommerce.css code
As I can see as of now WooCommerce is using below code for the single product gallery

i used the Page builder from Salient
The Salient visual composer provides an icon element http://themenectar.com/demo/salient-promo/icons/ if you don’t have that in your page builder, you might just be on an earlier version

OK so found the issue, the plugin JS & CSS script optimizer was not allowing my product images to show on the product page and removed the cart number to show when you add a product to your cart. Thank you for pointing me in the right direction, if you have any experience or advice on scripts optimization plugins that work well with Salient and Woo please share, otherwise thank you for your help.

Hey Themenectar. This theme is getting better and better with the years. I love it very much. I’ve uploaded the newest Salient 8, and also updated my VC, but I seem to have a problem with customizing the templates. I wanted to try out one of the templates, but whenever I want to customize the text and other details, there doesn’t seem to be an edit option for the custom headings (I tried out the ‘Alternating Split Sections’ template in this case). I hover with my mouse over the blocks and see the little green block appear that usually enables me to alter the information inside the blocks. But they don’t seem to work right now if I use a template.
The same happens with the other templates. I can’t seem to customize icons or text etc etc. Not sure what to do. I already removed Salient and uploaded the theme fresh, but it didn’t help. I hope you can help me with that. Thanks!

I’ve looked through past faq/posts about changing social icons in the header (I use VK/Vine social icons and change to fa-weixin/fa-weibo) but is there anyway to make those changes permanent through theme updates? Everytime the theme updates I have to go in and change them manually again (even better, will these social icons be added into the salient dashboard?).

I am evaluating your theme and considering a purchase. Would you please tell me whether Salient can achieve the followings:
1. On mobile sticky header, can I add text “menu” next to the hamburger button?
2. On mobile sticky header, inside the off canvas navigation menu, can I create button element for “buy now”?
3. On mobile sticky header, is it possible to add SVG icon near the hamburger button or near my logo?
4. On mobile sticky header, is it possible to position my logo in the middle?
5. On the secondary navigation bar (for desktop screen), is it possible to add a button? Add a text link with drop-down menu (on hover)?
By the way, many of the best selling themes are having $39 promotion. I wonder if you plan to join the action

Hi, just a suggestion, iconsmind.ttf is 906.1kb—what can be done to mitigate this?
That’s a lot to be loading on the home page, that’s actually half my home page size. Removing query strings doesn’t help because this file isn’t cached for some reason.

If the file size for it is not worth it for you, using one of the other icon libraries will stop that one from loading
