Hi I was hoping the latest update would fix the checkout page, where the payment method logos for stripe and paypal disappeared. Is there going to be another update to solve this issue? I can see other people have issues with the checkout page, so something must have changed there. many thanks B

Hello Guys!
Sorry to bother you but since we updated to the latest version of Aurum today, a few things have changed.. and unfortunately not for the better 
1) In the cart before the update, it said: “Size M”. Right now, this size is displayed after the title, like: CHIFFON TOP – M Would there be a way to make this showing again, before the update?
2) On the Check Out Page, inside the check-out table, there is no size showing right now. This is a huge issue, which has to be solved. Please help on this.
3) On mobile cart page, there is the big black X showing to remove the items from the cart. And it is showing right above the product image, which makes it look terrible. In the previous version, there was no black X and it was way better. How can we go back to not showing the black X in the mobile cart?
We are really unhappy about the update this time

Hello Ylli,
thank you for your suggestion, but our support expired a while ago and I don’t think it’s reasonable for us to pay another support about changes on the theme, that occurred only due to the recent update.
All the things mentioned above were absolutely fine in the theme before the update and we are just asking for help to remove those new changes, nothing else.

This was a very big update from WooCommerce and even that they are not many changes on the look there a re a lot of changes on the backend and file changes that we are adapting for a very stable update of the theme.
We have started to work on this update, if everything goes as we have planned the update should come maximum 2 weeks from now.

I’m contemplating on buying this theme for an online bookstore. I have a few queries:
1. Your bookstore demo doesn’t seem to have the authors name listed under the book, only category. Can author names be added along with each book/product listing? If not directly, can this be achieved with a plugin? Since it’s a bookstore, it’s essential that the author name be displayed along with the title of the book.
2. I want to install and use specific WebFonts with the site. I’ll actually be purchasing this soon (from myfonts.com), to go with the overall branding. Can these fonts be installed and implemented within this theme?
I love this theme and its simplicity checks all the right boxes. Looking forward to using Aurum for my site!

3. Is there any way to reduce the current line length? Right now (for example in the single blog post of your Fashion demo) the line length varies between 120-140 characters. Is there any way the container width (of just the blog posts, I’m assuming the visual composer should be able to create columns and divisions in other pages) can be reduced to make the line length shorter and more ergonomic?

We are happy to hear your kind words for our theme, we are working to make it better everyday.
1. We have added the authors as attributes as they couldn’t be added as Authors where they can be linked with all the books they have published, the author part is just an extra info but cannot be added as an extended feature.
2. Unfortunately adding external fonts besides the Google fonts in your site is not supported with Aurum, for this you can consider checking our Kalium theme which is a more advanced theme and new shopping demos are coming soon.
3. This is possible if you create the blog through the WordPress way, and not using the Visual Composer element as we cannot modify the Visual Composer lines of post but we can do that with the normal blog.

Just to confirm:
1. Can the name of the author be shown under the name of the product/book in the shop page? (where a number of products are displayed, based on category) I just want to understand where all this would be visible (ideally wherever the product is listed).
2. Kalium looks great, but all the great features I need for my store are in Aurum. I’ll try to work an alternative out, maybe by using a plugin. I’ll try to figure this out myself, thank you.
3. Yes, I was planning to add posts the Wordpress way. I’m assuming I can add CSS to the child theme to affect the blog post container width to keep the character count close to 100, correct?

1. If you want to do this then the best would be to add authors as categories, so they will show below the book title and if you click on them they will show all books by that author, that’s the only way to achieve that even though it can be messed up with product categories (if you use them).
3. The excerpt limit can be added in the functions.php file of the child theme, instead of CSS so you can set how many words per post you want to show.

1. Right, I was thinking the same. Though this would probably mean it would show up as something like ‘author name, science fiction’, since it’ll no doubt be messed up with product category. There is a Woocommerce Bookstore plugin (https://www.wpini.com/woocommerce-bookstore-plugin/) that I might consider, though it is a premium plugin with a sign-up fee. 3. I think I miscommunicated what I meant to say. It isn’t the number of words in the excerpt, but the number of characters per line in a blog post. This is just to make sure that there aren’t any long lines of text where the user has to turn his or her head from left to right to read an entire line. Ironically, the line length of this Wikipedia article on line length are way too long, as you can see: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Line_length
This is why I thought affecting the container width would help set the right line length overall.

If you are willing to purchase an extension to your shop or WordPress it would be better to see if the plugin requires integration into the theme and if the theme supports it since there are more complicated plugins which need extra attention, keep this in mind before purchasing any plugin or theme.
3. There is a WordPress plugin that you can choose how you want to manage the excerpt of the blog, so you can choose which method you want to use, by character or by word.

hi, there are some strings i can’t find how to translate in woocommerce. All woocmmerce plugin is translated and i have translated almost everything about woocommerce in the aurum theme, but i don’t find to translate for example the error messages in the checkout form or “company name” or “aditional information” or “order notes”...

We have warned every user by posting on all of our theme in the changelog the warning to not update WooCommerce to the latest version, and that is noted even by WooCommerce on the plugins page. Please see this article we wrote:

I found a bug on my pages. I use Woocommerce subscription extensions. Under the tab action when you look at a subscription, you should read “Switch” but it does not. It works when raberar woocommerce theme files. Help please
