Hi – I bought the Salient theme. At the bottom of some of my pages, its asking me if I like the theme and to purchase the theme, with a link to purchase. I have already bought it, thus customizing it. How do I get rid of it? Thanks
Hey southfive, there should be no links prompting you purchase the theme unless you’ve imported dummy data which contained those call to actions as part of the demo (which of course you could modify/remove) – please share your URL in regards so I can take a look

Hi, is there one stylesheet which controls the checkout page? The salient theme has always been a cut above the rest, but when it comes to woocommerce, the checkout page has always been a total mess and I would like to fix it. However I can’t seem to figure out which css sheet is actually controlling the checkout page. It looks like a combination of the plugin woocommerce.css and the salient theme woocommerce.css which is crazy.

the plugin woocommerce is still controlling most of the layout, the Salient additions are kept in the salient woocommerce.css file – what are you trying to change that you would like assistance with?
The site won’t load when using PHP 7.1, is this a known issue with the theme?

We are having problems with header opacity. I have checked these threads which look like they might be relevant… none of them seem to end in success or with a reply from ThemeNectar.

Under Logo & General styling header opacity is set to 0.8
But yet we get these 2 horizontal stripes under the header – top stripe is dark grey, one below it is white. total height of these 2 strips is 58px
I tried logging out of wordpress in case it was the WP admin bar causing problems along the top – this was not the case.
I have tried with a page header, a nectar slider, and just a normal row (no nectar slider or page header at tope of screen) it doesn’t work.
I have tried reducing the page header height to less than the height of the image, this doesn’t work.
Please advise? Thank you
Further info that might be helpful:
- If we disable parallax function on page header, the white stripe disappears. (but we want parallax) – but the grey top stripe is still there. (even if we log out of wordpress admin
- Our header height is 300px. Even with an image uploaded of 500px height, the problem is still exactly the same. So it’s not a problem with the image size being used
- We can manually workaround this problem by editing css as follows:

Hey ravenswoodmedia, if you activate the header option for “Use Transparent Header When Applicable” in the Salient options panel > header navigation >transparency tab this will be fixed
No, this makes the header TOTALLY transparent over page headers etc. We want a permanently semitransparent 0.8 header?
In order to get the positioning how you’re trying to, that option would still need to be turned on – then custom css could be used to add the transparency slightly up to make it never changing. If you’d like assistance with that kindly let me know
how can I add seperators between menu items easily that does not show in responsive view. like: border-right: 1px solid border gray?

I’m having some issues working with the WooCommerce side of things.
I need to build a set of custom fields using Advanced Custom Fields. I have attached the exported JSON file for my field. This does not show up under any Product Category or any taxonomy term.

It wasn’t working at all, even with another theme activated and it was breaking the attributes section when editing a product.
Turns out I was using a new version of ACF and the WooCommerce was on an older version.
Downgraded ACF for now

I got a quick question regarding column control on mobile view. My current setup is 4 column per row http://i.imgur.com/tSspbGj.png
On desktop it views as 4 column, on tablet is 2 column and mobile view is 1 column. May I know how do I set mobile view to 2 column (instead of 1). I don’t mind shrinking the contents smaller to fit.
If the above is not possible, will this plugin solve the problem https://codecanyon.net/item/visual-composer-responsive-inner-columns-and-rows/11189899 ? If yes, will it cause any issue to your theme’s custom visual composer?

I made the .post-featured-img 100% in width, but the quality is still at 600px — how can i tell the post to use the original image instead of using the smaller version? (It adds “-600×403” to the .jpg name)

You’d need to modify the nectar/tinymce/shortcode-processing.php file in regards at the nectar_recent_posts function to change the image size served

in the latest version when nesting inner rows, there is new drop down setting for Column Margin, but the are only two options: Default and None, is this correct? there is no way to set it to any other value, there used to be a “column gap” setting before, can not find it anywhere…

That option is indeed new, there never was any option to previously remove the column padding. If you’d like to specify a spacing between the columns you’ll need to use the column padding option

Hey, you can change the slug directly in the options panel > portfolio > functionality tab with the “Custom Slug” option. However, changing the menu name in the admin panel would require a mod to the functions.php where the post type is registered

Secondary Header: I have tried to make my secondary header taller by using the code below. This caused the text to sit too high (not vertically centered).
