For all the customers who bought the Visual Composer separately, please do not update the Visual Composer to the version 5.2 since it’s currently not compatible with the theme.

After upgrading the theme (TheFox) to version 2.08, specific text is not being displayed on the pages of ams-neve.com
The specific text is contained within a Custom Heading box and all Custom Headings throughout the site use Custom text with a font called ‘Montserrat’. Each Custom Heading Settings field titled ‘Google Fonts preview;’ shows an example of the Montserrat font correctly which is puzzling.
I reverted to the previous version of the theme, but this did not correct the issue, so I have once again uploaded the 2.08 files. All caching is deactivated.

The problem is with a recent Visual Composer update and TheFox theme – Wordpress informed the VC plug-in needed upgrading to version 5.2. Since upgrading the plug-in to 5.2, I have had the issue. I cannot add ANY new elements to any page using VC and VC doesn’t display certain existing elements (‘Custom Heading’ for one) on any of my pages – seems like a conflict between TheFox theme and VC 5.2 – HELP!!!!!!

If you update the theme and the plugins you shouldn’t have any problem.
You can update the plugins from Appearance > Install plugins.

This is actually a nasty little trap. WP Updates informs VC needs to be updated to 5.2 – and if updated (why not? – we need to keep everything up to date for security reasons), it appears to break the plug-in resulting in all sorts of front-end visual errors and back-end page-building problems. But it isn’t the plug-in, it is an obvious VC5.2/TheFox theme conflict.
To rescue, delete (via FTP) the VC 5.2 files from the VC directory and upload the files included with the latest version of TheFox theme instead – currently at 5.1.1.
Not good. An update to TheFox with the VC 5.2 include, which works, is needed quickly.

First concerning the plugin and wordpress update, don’t update anything until you have our team confirming the newest version is compatible with the theme.
We actually are testing the version 5.2, with our theme but don’t get any errors.
Can you please contact our support forum and give us all the information about the custom plugins and the version of the plugins you are using.
Also could you please try to clear the server and browser cache, and also try to disable all the extra plugins you are using.

When I try to set my Blog to Timeline, none of the featured images display. I usually use Grid style and all my posts are set to ‘Standard’, however trying to make a change to this new look. Out of support contract, but not a customisation, just a feature on the theme that doesn’t seem to work. Any suggestions? Thanks

It may be related to the custom plugins you are using, try to disable the custom plugins and see if you still have the problem..
For the uber menu you would need to disable our mega menu first.

Hey, somehow the header top bar is not removed on my portfolio pages even though, I changed the setting for every page to Yes! – Hide header top bar!
Any fix? Maybe a custom css line for that?

That’s strange, if you want to remove the top bar from all page you can set it from Thefox > Top bar styling and set it to No.

Might be a stupid question but how do I load the tending template? I’ve installed success the tending stuff under the demo content area of TheFox but I can’t see any pages that resemble it?!?

Many Plugin are not present in a Dashboard (ie) like our partners, portfolio. And many plugin like accordion and masonry are not installed.

The theme has serious problems updating to Version 2. Using either Envato’s plugin to update it or manually uploading a Zip file crashes the site. Our hosts had to restore a backup version of the site to get it working again, several times.
Once it restored, Version 2 was still installed, but the old version is still there…alongside the Child theme. If you delete the old version and leave v2 and the child theme, the whole thing crashes again.
The theme update process should be the very basic requirement of a theme. Of any theme. All other themes update with no problem on this domain, it is only The Fox that is having the issue.
What can we do about this?

Hello David,
I think the problem is that our old theme version use “Uppercase” in the folder name. Since the WordPress 4.6 update, having uppercase in the theme folder will create a bug that you can’t modify or delete the folder from the WordPress dashboard.
If you go to your ftp and remove the folder and upload the latest version of our theme the problem should be fixed, then you will be able to use the envato market plugin to activate the auto update for our theme if needed.

Thanks for the reply, something is still not right however. The new theme is loaded and selected, but the child theme is gone and there is an error message:
“The parent theme is missing. Please install the “TheFox” parent theme.”
I tried changing this child theme file to all lowercase letters via FTP, but this had no effect.
Surely this can’t be right?

Is there a way to add different logo for different languages while using WPML? For example for English logo from theme option is used if there is one more language like Spanish then where to add Spanish logo?
