admin > settings ( left side menu bottom tab ) > general > “Blog Pages Shows at Most _ posts” – change 10 to 9.

You can add below custom css to edit search list heading, button grid read more arrow color and recent post date box background.

For “Recent Blog Posts” replace “xxxxxx” to your own color value.

You can edit date format from admin > plugins > editor > select “Pre School Shortcodes” from right top side dropdown menu.

Now click on “pre-school-shortcodes/shortcodes/shortcodes.php” file name on right sidebar file name list.

In this file find below code. ( Ctrl + F )

get_the_date('j.n.Y')

Replace above code with below code.

get_the_date('n.j.Y')

I’m having trouble knowing where to put the custom CSS for the colors. Do I do this in Appearance>Editor>Kids World Theme> Custom CSS or a different place? When I add code to Appearance>Editor>Kids World Theme> Custom CSS nothing changes. Maybe I’m putting it in the wrong spot or not adding the correct code.

You can put custom css in child theme style.css or appearance > customizer > custom css.

( About custom.css file : All styling css are controlled by customizer so it loads after custom.css so custom css will only work options which are not added with customizer. )

Transportation icon is added in ../wp-content/themes/kids-world/single-classes.php > line #104 which has below code where you can edit “fa-bus” to any other icon name

( you can also edit it from admin > appearance > editor > select “single-classes.php” from right sidebar )

Heading colors are very easy so we didn’t add in customizer to load page fast. You can add it heading css code like below example in customizer custom css or child theme css ( we recommend to use child theme style.css for custom changes ).

h3 { color:#333333;  }

If you want to only in content area then you can give more specific style like below with “kidsworld_site_content” class name.

.kidsworld_site_content h3 { color:#333333;  }
