You can purge just the style.css file by entering – https://www.seyedrezabazyar.com/wp-content/themes/Total/style.css – into the purge field or you can purge the whole site.

Whenever you are making edits to the site since you are using CloudFlare I highly recommend using Dev Mode – https://support.cloudflare.com/hc/en-us/articles/200168246-What-does-Cloudflare-Development-mode-mean- it helps prevent this sort of issues.

Also it’s always best if possible to not edit the core theme files. Removing the details from the main style.css could also cause some problems in WordPress and wouldn’t recommend it. If you don’t like the default details in the style.css it’s best to change them but not remove them completely.

I would recommend contacting your webhost then, because the issue is clearly cache related and not with the theme.

This generally happens if cloudflare isn’t cached but the server is cached or vise-versa.

There isn’t any built-in method for this. This would require custom ajax to pull the data from the portfolio post. The problem with that is if you are using the Visual Composer for portfolio items it can cause issues and also if you are using any 3rd party plugins with inline scripts it would break things, which is why it’s not a native theme function. These sort of ajax functions really require knowing exactly what’s on the page you are grabbing so it’s something you generally will find only in very minimal themes. That said, maybe there is a plugin out there that allows this functionality?

The best way is to set a featured image for any blog posts that are using videos this way when a video isn’t displayed it can still display the featured image.

And yes, I’ve used event tracking for specific goals several times, but I’m trying to track a variety of events on each page of the site that aren’t tied to a goal – just the events. Button clicks, video plays, link clicks, etc… My question is – how do I integrate the Event tracking code with the various VC elements available in the theme? Can you show me an example somewhere?

I’m also happy to use Google Tag Manager if it’s easier.

Yes, Google Tag Manager would be easier…because you can track based on the click text without really doing anything on the site (for example if your button text says “download” you can track clicks on any click event with the test “download”). You can also track events based on classes so you can add custom classes to VC modules, example – https://cl.ly/lSYl

How are you setting the line height? For example if you use a pixel line height like 25px or it won’t adjust based on the font size. If you use a number like 1.4, an em such as 1em or a percentage such as 60% then those should be based on the font size and adjust accordingly as the font size changes.

1. What elements and templates, if any, come with Visual Composer? Are there any created by your design team specifically for your theme?

The Visual Composer comes with it’s own set of elements and then I added some extra modules for the Total theme for added support which are under the Total tab – https://cl.ly/lLNv

These extra modules can be disabled via the Theme Panel – https://wpexplorer-themes.com/total/docs/theme-panel-features-explained/ – if you don’t want to use them and only want to use core VC modules. Or some customers disable all the modules and use a VC addon plugin such as Ultimate Addons (I wouldn’t recommend that though unless you have a good hosting company because it is a big plugin).

Total is coded in a way that if you disable the extra modules it won’t load any of those files/functions either so it keeps things well optimized. Also the Visual Composer version included is 100% unmodified so you can use 3rd party extensions without issues. Some theme’s out there highly modify the plugin which can cause issues and in some cases they even rename it to make it seem like it’s their own plugin when it’s not. I am a big believer of leaving the plugins how they are originally and then adapting the theme accordingly to style things or provide better support for them.

Additionally the VC plugin is 100% optional of course some of my customers use Beaver Builder or Elementor with the Total theme instead and they work well as well. So you can think of the Total theme as a solid Framework to start any project and choose the addons you want/need for it.

Total is a developer’s dream built on a solid Framework with hooks and filters:

2. Are your demo pages built in native VC or other means (short codes, other development framework)?

The demo pages are all built with the Visual Composer. But of course some pages like the blog, categories, tags…these are auto archives that come from WordPress so these are of course based on theme settings – https://wpexplorer-themes.com/total/docs/blog/ – but you could of course display a blog using VC modules instead if you wish.

3. How specifically is your multi-lingual capabilities handled (see http://wplang.org/translation-ready-wordpress-theme/)

This is done in a few ways (specifically for WPML but also has Polylang support):

• A wpml-config.xml file is used for defining the Total VC modules for VC translations – https://wpml.org/documentation/plugins-compatibility/visual-composer/ – example: https://cl.ly/lL51

• String translations for Customizer settings – https://wpexplorer-themes.com/total/docs/theme-options/ – are handled via a theme function that holds a list of the strings that would require translation (with a filter if you need to add more via child theme mods) – https://cl.ly/lLuZ . • Additionally for any part of the theme that requires checking the current page ID there is a helper function I use in the theme – https://cl.ly/lM5g – to parse it correctly for WPML and Polylang. For example when you use the Footer Builder function to create a custom footer using VC modules or another page builder – https://wpexplorer-themes.com/total/docs/footer-builder/ – the theme will be able to check for any translated versions of the footer builder to show it accordingly.

There isn’t a built-in way for that, I could add an option to select a color based on the theme accent color the issue because the Visual Composer has sooo many different button styles it would add a lot of extra CSS and bloat to the theme so I have avoided it.

If you want you can select style “Flat” and color ” Classic Blue” – https://cl.ly/lLcP

Then if you add this CSS to your site it would change it the the default Total theme blue:

Yes! Your code is correct and it would go at the bottom of the child theme’s functions.php file so exactly where you said

The only tweak I would recommend is to change where it says “add_filter” to say “add_action”. While add_filter will work, technically wp_footer is is an action hook so it should use the add_action function.

Hi,

The easiest way is to manually set the page to header style “3” via a custom field like this: https://cl.ly/lLF6 (are you familiar with WordPress Custom fields?)

Then you can add some CSS like this:

body.has-overlay-header .navbar-style-three {

    }

Which will remove the default borders on header style three when used with the Overlay header.

Oh and depending on the site you could also disable the header via the page settings and then add a menu logo via the visual composer at the top of the page (if it’s a single page site that could work as well).

Can you share the URL so I can see what’s going on. In some cases you may need some custom CSS for the z-index to work especially if you want the bottom row to overlap the top row. I can help with that but I would like to see the live URL so Ic an give you the exact code.

If you are thinking of purchasing the theme for another site then you can do that and it will also renew your support. Most customers do that because they not only renew the support but they also get a new license of the theme to use on another site So if you are a freelancer as long as you purchase a new license for a client site every 6 months then your support will always be active. Renewing your support license only really makes sense if you have 1 website you are using the theme on.

It’s hard for me to answer this question without seeing how the border was added to the products…But from what I imagine the answer is no.

What you would need to do instead is add a new wrapper around the image and text…

The theme is actually being used for the University of Hawaii – http://www.hawaii.edu/ – where accessibility is very important. I’ve worked with them and over time made various tweaks/additions for accessibility. So the theme should be compliment, that said, things do change over time and depending on how the site is created and the needs of the site there may need some extra edits required (for example by default the Total theme main header menu doesn’t have a “focus” state simply for design reasons but it’s very easy to add via some CSS which I can provide if needed). So if in the process you locate anything that needs updating or fixing for accessibility let me know and I’m happy to take a look and work with you for that. Accessibility is of course of big importance so it’s something I take seriously and if you have any issues I’m happy to help.

I have used the program Miro Video Converter to convert the video to OGV and WEBM. I have used it on multiple sites with video’s without problems.

I will try to use another to see if this makes any difference.

It appears that the render made from Premiere Pro was somehow corrupt and had an influence on the converted video not working in Safari for me.

The video was re-rendered, converted and replaced and it now works in all browsers for me!

The thunder theme was deprecated a little over a year ago (I believe) since sales dropped to almost 0 while this theme (Total) took off and Thunder is no longer available for sale/download. Most likely the Visual Composer just needs an update in order to function properly. If you try to open a private ticket does the system allow you to – https://wpexplorer-themes.com/support/ – or no?

Have you considered updating the site and moving to our newer theme Total? (this one) If you have another site you could consider purchasing Total and then using the version bundled with Total to update the VC on your site using Thunder. Or you could switch the site using Thunder over to Total which uses the Visual Composer but includes many more modules and customization options – https://cl.ly/lJbY

Thanks for your solution it worked almost nicely but with one exception, I tried to use the “wpex_hook_header_after” hook and the templete was covering the entire width of screen nicely but it adds the template in all the pages (i need to add it only on the single product view. I then tried to use ‘woocommerce_before_single_product’ and worked fine but the template is not covering the entire width of the screen (I’m using full-screen layout)... check this screenshot for clarification
