Presale question: Is it possible to organize jobs by country and have same categories across all countries?
Hi
I think you could use regions add-on for that https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-job-manager-locations/
Hi, I am having a problem since the last update, the theme is throwing 500 error instead of 404.
https://kechkhedma.net/404javascript.js*Site error detected.
(Definition: 500-error.php?warning.500_internal_error.1)
What do I have to click on your site to generate that problem? Cause it seems to be working normally
Also, just FYI, I hope you realize the photo you have on your front page that you’ve probably copied from our demo is not included with the theme package, and you have to buy it here https://www.stocksy.com/1278488
I will check with the team about the photo, i know that we bough lot of pictures from Lumina Image
It doesn’t do it all the time from the same link, I thought it was a server error as i had the 504 when disconnecting from the site or when i entered a wrong link, My hosting (Godaddy) Said exactly in an email:
Ticket: 1499440746225** Subject: Malware removal request – kechkhedma.net By: John W. Message: Hello,
I scanned the site but couldn’t identify any malware infections inside, the warning showing on your dashboard isn’t malware related. It’s because your theme is throwing 500 error instead of 404 for pages that doesn’t exist. For example :
https://kechkhedma.net/404javascript.jsPlease talk to the web developer and he should be able to fix it, apart from that the site is clean but if you are seeing any other suspicious activities please let us know !
Thanks,
I am almost sure that it’s server issue, even i also checked previous comments and one has this issue, If same thing happens with correct link it means it has nothing to do with the theme ain’t ? Thank’s
It looks like that, I’m not aware of anything in theme that could cause that kind of problem. Have you enabled debugging in your WordPress https://codex.wordpress.org/Debugging_in_WordPress ?
And about the photo, I’m just saying that because a lot of people just copy that image not knowing they have to buy it, and I don’t want anyone get into trouble of not using licenses image
Hi, I am leaving this comment so if someone will search here for the same problem, so it’s not theme or either servor, it’s the worspress app who throw the 500’s errror codes. if that happens just back up your wordpress to 3 days before the errors started and it should be solved.
I don’t think it’s a general issue, looks like something specific to your server/configuration. No one else reported any issue with any of my themes lately. But thanks for sharing!
Hi, I have enabled the regions add on, and have added a drop down on search, on homepage. http://therminews.gr/cyprus/
Now when someone visit my homepage the first (alphabetical) region is selected. It is like a placeholder. I want to edit this so it will look like the category field where is says “All categories”.
Is there a way to do that from settings??
If you visit the jobs page http://therminews.gr/cyprus/browse-jobs/ the region field behave exactly as I want, it has a placeholder that says “all regions”.
On an expired listing the message that informs the visitor that the listing has expired appears two times. Please check here http://therminews.gr/cyprus/job/senior-health-and-nutrition-advisor/ and advice how to fix this.
I also want to style that message, ex to make it bigger and bold.
Hi
ad1) Sorry about that, please replace your file template-home.php with this one https://www.dropbox.com/s/twrzuoejl9wm0gs/template-home.php?dl=0
ad2) That’s a bug, edit file single-job_listing.php and search for “This listing has expired.” you’ll see it twice, you can style it via class ‘job-manager-info’
So there are two bugs in the theme. Are you going to upload an update with a fix?
I have one more question.
1. Can I remove the “Upload a header Image” and twitter username fields from job submission page? If yes, how to do this?
Yes I’m going to update it but I’ve provided you fixes in my previous comment.
https://wpjobmanager.com/document/editing-job-submission-fields/Yes, thank you for the fixes.
I have bought this plugin https://codecanyon.net/item/woocommerce-social-login-wordpress-plugin/8495883 . I installed it and configure it. The social login buttons appear on the login tab on the /my-account/ page but will not show on the “register” tab. Which file to edit in order to add the buttons with a shortcode ? Or is there an easier option??
@purethemes can you please help me with the social login?
Hi
I don’t know that plugin, but I’ll contact author of it, maybe he’ll be willing to make his plugin compatible with WorkScout in exchange for recommending it
Ok, thank you for your quick respond.
If I buy the official woocommerce add on for social login is it going to work properly? Is it tested?
Please answer me before I purchase it. Thank you!
The same with the official woocommerce social login plugin. please visit http://therminews.gr/cyprus/my-account/ you will see that on the login tab there is the option for social login but for “register” tab there is not such an option.
Can you help me with this?
I have disabled all the payment options from woocommerce settings page, and the only available is bank payment. Now when I try to login as a employer and post a job, when I click on choose a package I immediately am transfered to paypal website. Why is this happening?
How to fix this?
On the homepage I show job listings I use the theme shortcode to do that. I use the pagination, so now jobs are separated into pages. My problem is that when I click on a job listing from ex. page 3 and read the listing, if i will decide to go back to home page the jobs will automatically go to page 1, how can I disable this?
this the shortcode that I use… [jobs per_page=”4” orderby=”none” order=”ASC” show_filters=”false” show_categories=”false” show_pagination=”true” show_more=”true” show_description=”false” categories=”” job_types=”” featured=”” filled=”false” keywords=”” ]
You’re hot-headed
I’m in contact with the author of the plugin from codecanyon, he will probably make it work with WorkScout.
As for the problem with payments, do you have also the Simple Paid Listings plugin active? It’s in the WPJM bundle, but you can use both (Simple Paid Listings and WC Paid Listings) – you have to decide on one, if you want to use WooCommerce, just remove the Simple Paid Listings
As for pagination, if I understand the problem correctly (you mean when you hit back in the browser and open again homepage, it’s not 3rd page of jobs but the 1st one?) there’s no way to avoid that, it’s ajax based and that’s the default WPJM behaviour
Thank you for respond!
Will be back soon with more questions!!!
1. If an employer create a job listing and then in a couple of days if he will update it, is it going to appear first on the job list? I dont want the employers to take advantage of it and keep on updating the listings just to appear on first page.
2. If an employer create a job listing and select the free package, is he able to edit the listing and select a payed package? On my website the difference between payed and free listings is that the payed listings are highlighted and promoted. So it is very possible that someone who post a job would want after a couple of days to promote it, so he must be able to edit it and choose a payed package. How can I do that?
3. About the social login plugin. The woocommerce social login plugin is having exactly the same issue.
Thank you!!!
ad1) In the Cusotmize -> Jobs Options -> Jobs List you can set the order of the job listings, probably you have set it to be ordered by date of modification
ad2) I don’t think there’s an option for this.
ad3) Contact me via Support Tab with access to your wp-admin, I’ll take a look, maybe I’ll figure something out.
Can you point me in the right direction how to achieve the number 2?
I will contact you for the number 3.
Thank you!!
I deleted the resume form from contact forms, can you please post here the fields that you use on the resume form so I could replicate it. Thank you!
Is there a way to use pagination instead of a “Load more” button?
Sure, with show_pagination
[jobs show_pagination="true"]
https://wpjobmanager.com/document/shortcode-reference/
thanks for the quick reply. I’m using the shortcode the same way: https://cl.ly/lSi3 but I’m still getting a Load More button: https://cl.ly/lSSM . Any ideas?
If it’s jobs archive page then this shortcode is hardcoded in /archive-job_listing.php
Thanks for your help.
I have another question. Is there a way you can recommend to change with code or a plugin the way the account creation gets done automatically when submitting a job listing? What I mean is that how it works now WordPress sends an email to the user with a link to set a password for the account. How I would like it to work ideally would be that the user could enter the password in the same screen he or she is entering the username and email (just before the listing information). And if that isn’t possible I would like the user to receive an email with an autogenerated password instead of a link to set it (that’s the way is done when registering through WooCommerce). And if that isn’t possible either at least I would like to be able to customize the email the user will receive with a link to set the password.
Are you aware of any solutions for this with code or a plugin? Surely I’m not the first person that want to change this but I haven’t been able to find any documentation on how to solve this.
Thanks in advance for your advice.
Hi,,
I have problem with maps. I registered API key and I followed all steps that you described but still I’m getting error message:
js?key=AIzaSyCuwx3n1OFAHMiF4UpeD1klgC0TElGcmf4&libraries=places&ver=4.8:35 Google Maps API error: RefererNotAllowedMapError and Your site URL to be authorized.
I registered my site like .myWebsite.com/ and I’m using https maybe that making a problems I’m not sure…
Hi
that’s not theme related issue,if you’re using it*.myWebsite.com/*
give it a while as it doesn’t register the change instantly, if that won’t work, try other combinations like https://mywebsite.com/* etc
or just disable the restriction, that’s the “safest” way of making it work
Thanks (Y)
Do you have any video tutorial of the installation with the full wpmanager ?
Hello, another few pre-sales questions:
1) Would it be possible to have to ‘approve’ job seeker profiles and ‘job’ profiles before they went live?
2) Can contact information be hidden from the public form, forcing people to have to contact them through the site?
3) I would like to enforce a user to have to sign-up before they can apply for a job. Is this possible through the WP Jobs add-on Application?
4) I would like a user to be able to have a one-click apply if they have a profile already. Is this possible?
5) I would like all application emails to go to 1 email address and not the job profile loader, is this possible?
6) Is it possible to have additional sign-up fields? i.e. phone number / identity number?
I may have some more q’s at a later stage, that is all for now..
TIA
Hi
ad1) Yes https://wordpress.org/plugins/new-user-approve/
ad2) Yes, you can remove them from the template
ad3) Yes, that is an option there
ad4) There’s always a pop-up where they can choose one of theirs resumes and fill the form, but application form is customizable in plugin settings
ad5) Not without some custom modification
ad6) Also requires modifications
Thanks. When you say modifications.. are you able to provide more details?
I mean you need to hire some developer to help you modify theme functionality to meet your requirements
Hi There. Presales question:
Is there an option to include a detailed list of fields on the job seeker form when creating a profile, however, when submitting the application to the company owner as well as displaying it in their dashboard, that the information that is displayed is not all shown? There is certain detail that we do not want to hand over to the company.
Many thanks
Hi
that would require custom modification
I’m interested to purchase this theme but I will need to integrate it with BuddyPress and bbpress. Have you tested these plugins? I know this theme does not officially support them but I would like to know if they will work.
Hi
I haven’t had a chance to test them yet, I’ll let you know when I’ll do.
Hi again,
One question. I activated SSL for my website and I changed website to https but I saw that there is a few links like logo image for example that has http. How can I change all links to https including logo for example?
Thanks!
Duplicated question, replied to the 2nd one
Hi again,
One question. I activated SSL for my website and I changed website to https but I saw that there is a few links like logo image for example that has http. How can I change all links to https including logo for example?

Hi
that could only happen if you imported demo content and still have something from it on your site, so some elements (like company logo from the job listing) might still be loaded via http. To fix it you’d need to edit those jobs and update the links, or use only your own content.
I resolved. Simply I removed all images and than I uploaded again after I changed http to https in settings.
hi, how can i get the search header onto another page, not only home page. i dont see a shortcode for it or anything in visual composer.
Hi
I’m afraid your support period for WorkScout has expired, please renew it, that helps me maintain and expand the theme. Thanks!
Is this theme compatible with WP Job Manager add-on – Jobs Geolocation ?
WorkScout has built-in geolocation features, you don’t need that plugin for that
Does it auto geolocate ?
The job listings are automatically geolocated when you type the address (of course you need to have Google Maps API for that)
Hi, I have two major issues:
1. I can not add items to my menu from any category except for ‘Pages’. When I try and click on other options such as ‘custom links’ or ‘post’, nothing happens.
2. Visual composer is not working. All I can see is the code on pages I have imported, but not Visual composer at all.
Hi
looks like there is some JS error in your dashboard, it’s not necessairly coming from the theme, might be some conflict with other plugins. I’d need to have access to your wp-admin to check this. Please contact me via Support Tab https://themeforest.net/item/workscout-job-board-wordpress-theme/13591801/support
Hi there, I would like to apply the «Two Fingers Map Move» on the browse jobs/resumes maps. Currently, it’s only enabled on the single job/resume map. How can I achieve that? In my opinion, this is a necessary function in terms of usability.
Hi
I’ll add this for next update.
Great! Thank you so much
You’re welcome. Please consider renewing your support as your included support period has expired. That help us maintain the theme and develop it further. Many thanks!

Can i change the Language to German?

Hi again,
I have one problem with header image on home page. When I upload Image top side of image go outside page and I cannot see maybe 15% of image. I saw in console that this part can be resolved with changing background-position. For example in my case element.style is: background-position: 50% -246.053px;
So if I change this Y to -200 than I can see it. So I know that this is part of some calculation. And if it’s in some .js file and probably it is how can I change .js from dashboard?
If it’s not part of .js and you have better solution for this can you write me.
Thanks!
Hi
this is used to have the parallax effect on this area. When you scroll down the image moves at different speed
Hello,
I have a couple of pre-sale questions.
1. Is this theme compatible with BuddyPress and bbpress forum plugins?
2. When applying for a job, I would like the uploaded CV/resume to be sent directly to the employer (if he provided his e-mail address) or to be redirected to another address (if he provided an external link) instead of a popup that will appear with an external links. Will it be possible?
3. Will an employer be able to create his profile? I can’t see it in your demo.
4. Is it possible to allow applying only logged in users?
4. How doest JOB SPOTLIGHT work? Is it possible to replace it with with FEATURED JOBS (available in one of the packages)?
Thank you.
Hi
ad1) No it isn’t
ad2) Yes it is possible
ad3) No, the company details are saved with the first job posting and later reused in the form
ad4) Yes it is
ad5) Yes you can show there only featured jobs, the ‘spotlight jobs’ is just a title from the demo of that box.
Thanks for the answers.
I’m interested to purchase this theme but I will need to integrate it with BuddyPress and bbpress. Have you tested these plugins? I know this theme does not officially support them but I would like to know if they will work.

Hi, does the template works with WP Job Manager Bookmarks add-on? I bought it and installed it but I can see any button or link to add a job listing or a resume to my bookmarks.
Do I need to do something special to get it working?
Hi
you need to create page that has shortcode [my_bookmarks] in the content, and select that page in Appearance -> Theme Options -> General -> Bookmarks page
Thanks for your quick reply. I have the Bookmarks page but what I’m missing is a button to add the job listings and resumes to my bookmarks. I’m guessing there should be a button or link similar to the one for the job alerts right? That´s what I don’t have.
I’m sorry I figured out the problem by checking the source code on your demo. It was a custom CSS problem that was hiding the button. Thanks for trying to help.
Hi
sorry, the code for hiding that button was by default on your WorkScout? Or you just hide it accidentally?
No, it was my mistake, I hided it by mistake.
