How to reset all the setting’s ?
I’ve got some problem of the theme, want to reset all the settings, but even I try to remove and change the theme directory, I still cannot reset the settings. Old data still saved. How can I reset all the settings?

upgraded to Newspaper 8. Now Visual Composer is not working anymore. all content messed up. Somewhere read that I need to use TagDiv Composer. Tried to use that but all in vain, Not option to delete a row if once created. It doesnt have option like 2/8+ 4/8 +2/8 or custom row items. I am loosing my patience. Whole site is messed up!!!

Maybe this is because you have both plugins active. Please only use one or the other. Do not keep both page builders active.

Thanks. I have disabled tagDiv builder. One last question, can I continue to use visual composer instead of tagDiv composer? Will Visual Composer will be 100% compatible in future?

Yes you will be able to use the visual composer plugin just as before ant it will still be supported and updated in the future. The only downside is that we will no longer add new blocks and features to it. We will develop new cool stuff for our own page builder.

The slider revolution as well as the visual composer plugins that come bundled with the theme free of charge do not have an activation code. They are legal copies though as they are bundled versions. Bundled versions do not need to be activated but the plugin authors did not include any special implementation for the activation of these versions. Please ignore the activation messages.

Hi,
My site has been infected by the famous Traffictrade malware. I’ve removed the script from Theme panel Header ad field manually. The script does not appear again there.
Please note the facts:
- I have the latest updates of WordPress core, all plugins and Newspaper 8.1.
- There are no other deactivated themes or plugins on my installation (except Twenty Seventeen).
- There is no sign of traffictrade malware in the db.
- There is no sign of traffictrade malware in the source code.
- I do not have the searchreplacedb2.php script on my server.
- I have the latest Wordfence (and WAF) installed & configured.
My site still redirects to spam sites.
- When I deactivate all plugins the site redirects.
- When I deactivate all plugins and activate the Twenty Seventeen theme the site is ok.
- When I activate all plugins and activate the Twenty Seventeen theme the site is ok.
So my conclusion is that something goes wrong with Newspaper 8.1 theme.
Please keep in mind that I’ve tested the same installation to different servers. I’ve also tested with all WP core, plugins and themes files fresh downloaded and replaced.
What do you think we can do to clean the theme? I’ve read that this issue has been resolved in the past, but you can see the situation I’ve described.

Your site probably was infected before the update to newspaper 8. You probably had an older version or simply was hacked back when the security issue was discovered first. In this case, updating the theme has no effect except closing the breach, but if a ‘hack’ got in, you have to clean it.

Unfortunately this issue is not theme related as your WP install has been compromised. You will need to clean it as best you can. I have no more suggestions to provide for cleaning WP besides all of the many online tutorials. The theme has no WP install cleaning options.

Our theme has a very own version of the lazyload but it is an animation effect more than a functional lazyload. The images will be loaded but presented on the front-end with a delay. This effect can be turned off from the theme panel.

Unfortunately, our theme does not have any such an option for it, sorry! If you want to have something like this, you should implement it yourself through the code or try finding such a plugin with this functionality and check how it will work for you. Notice that our posts have a type of previous and next article but are not relative to the category of that post, sorry!

Why was the view counting option removed from the blocks? I used version 4 and after I migrated I no longer have this option. It’s more important to have the view count than the comment count for me. Is there somewhere I can enable or hack that I can do because I know PHP. Thank you. This theme is great.

Please notice that view counting option has not removed from our theme.
