I know this is a repeated question, but I am using Buddypress with multisite so people can create their own subsites using the subdirectory method. Is the Striking MultiFlex theme ok with this? Will people be able to use the Striking MultiFlex theme on their subsite if I network enable it?
Hi
Striking and BuddyPress work fine together to our best knowledge. You should not encounter any issues in respect of multisite as we are a 100% compliant multisite theme (one of the first premium themes to be such actually). In respect of licensing, you might need to talk to Envato – you would definitely only need one theme license if using path based multisite. IF you are using subdomain based multisite and the domain setup is for example:
abc.yourwebsite.com
efg.yourwebsite.com
hij.yourwebsite.com
again I am certain only one theme license is needed.
But if you are domain mapping where each subsite is in fact a discrete domain I believe you would need a separate license for each site, but only Envato, which controls licensing (we only develop but have no say at all in the sales process, terms or conditions at Envato) can answer with any certainty.

Hi During one of the theme updates our news page that had all posts is blank now. But at one time, years ago, that page had all our posts. How can we restore this?
HI
Please go to our support forum and post a thread, and one of our support staff will assist you.
Please include a link to the page on your website when you post your thread requesting assistance. Indicate whether you are using a blog shortcode, or have set a static blog page. Also be advised wordpress has changed and you cannot set a static homepage and also set it to be a static blog page, in the reading settings – that is a potential cause of your issue – see this post on our forum:

Hi, Thanks. Actually I just used the blog short code and that is fine. But worth noting that when the site was setup in 2011 (b4 I inherited management of it) the page was showing posts – never really examined how. But it’s fixed now with short code, FYI, so no need for a ticket at present. Cheers!
Hello AUTHOR, I am a va of one of my client and he deployed me for to install this theme(purchased). I have got those file http://prntscr.com/fn3pyq and installed http://prntscr.com/fn3q54 striking_r.zip and striking_r_child.zip both then I had a massage to install rev slider and I did ok till now but no visual composer added and when I click http://prntscr.com/fn3qsn import demo data button it just spin without massage done. no data import. even when I try to upload shortform-teaching-demo-content.xml saying error need an urgent solution, please
Hi
When the demo content fails to install it usually means there is a php issue with the host server, the processing times it allows to perform a function are insufficient.
Your client also has the full demo package in xml format in the theme package downloaded from their ThemeForest Account (its in the demo folder of the master zip), so they can try using the wp-importer plugin to install the xml file.
Otherwise, you will have to register at the Support Forum (using the license code from ThemeForest and the forum account should be registered using the same name as the themeforest account name) and create a support thread and one of the support team will assist you.

also that theme that has ultimate addon very slow so perhaps that addon is part of issue, in any case appreciate know if what i ask can be done and what type editor used
Hi aedsel
I regret we don’t really understand your question.
But I do wish to advise that Striking MultiFlex does not include “built-in” any WYSIWYG editor.

HI, I have noticed that in the new update 1.2.8.5 the featured image for variable products in woocommerce 3.0.3 does not change when selecting the option. You could see it in this url : http://tours-miami.com/producto/producto-de-pruebas/ . Thanks for your help.

Hi
I just checked. We have a new update coming Ver 1.2.8.6 soon to be released as Rev Slider and Woo both updated again (Woo twice to fix their hundreds of bugs) after we released Ver 1.2.8.5.
In Ver 1.2.8.6 this is fixed – Woo made a lot of bugs to do with the single product image. Trying to keep in step with them is like dancing with a crazy person!
If you register at the support forum and create a thread, one of the support team will reply to you and arrange for you to get the build early since this issue affects your website.

Hi
We have not seen a request from you yet at the support forum. However, if you check the variable products in the woo shop that forms part of our theme demo you will see that the variable product image was fixed per notes above and works fine:
http://kaptinlin.com/themes/strikingr/shop/the last 2 products on the first page of the shop are variable products.

I just wanted to say thank you for Striking Team, especially for James, who has always helped me a lot, even in moments he didn’t have the professional responsibility. For example, he gave me a CSS code so I could use full width images in my posts, like this one: http://virtude-ag.com/viagem-california-point-reys-monterey-bishop-june-lake-mono-lake-yosemite-out17-por-claudia-komesu-e-cristian-andrei/
I’m very satisfied with Striking and recommend it for all my friends. My two sites that use Striking: http://virtude-ag.com/ and http://heart3.me/.
Hi Claudia
Thank you for your kind words and support. Everyone on our team works hard in the background and as I have responsibility of supporting customers in the western hemisphere thus I have been privileged to assist you and many fellow Striking users in achieving their design goals.
I know you have been a customer of Striking since its release in 2010 and we are glad that you have been able to bring your message of the importance of the rainforests and preservation of nature to the web via our product for so long. Thank you for using our theme and your cause that you pursue.

I’ve purchased this theme 4 or 5 times now for various sites because I really like it. Now I notice gigpress and mega main menu are no longer responsive because of a conflict with Striking. Are you guys working on an update to release soon? Thanks!!
Hi decofleur
Yes. We are updating on our support forum about the forthcoming update of Striking MultiFlex.
I ask that you post on the support forum if you have any other questions. You could open a thread and advise on your matters with gigpress and mega main. We are very familiar with mega main and should be able to provide some help.

HI Decofleur;
Just a heads up that we are working on the release of Striking MultiFlex Ver 1.2.8.5 which includes full compatibility with Woo 3.0-3.0.1. Here is the forum thread although is mostly still empty of content – but it does include a link to the api where one can view the build changed files in detail.

I hope to have the build pushed out of the api by late tonight, which means notifications will start to show in dashboards after push.

New build released!
I don’t know how to login to the forum but the gigpress plugin is still screwed up and not responsive on mobile. :/
Hi
You log into the forum by going to the forum link, click on the “Sign In” button at the top of the forum. It will bring up a popup, and you will see an option to register. You only require your ThemeForest username, email and your purchase license for the theme, which you can obtain here at ThemeForest by going to your downloads page.
The gigpress plugin is out of date. It appears it no longer functions correctly in Wordpress. It also is not responsive from what I have read from user reports. I assess the issue to be the plugin, not Striking based on what I am observing in comments from other users of the plugin.
You could inquire with its developer and ask them when they are going to upgrade to WP 4.7.3 and also address making their plugin fully responsible. But I think the plugin might be abandoned by its developer, you will have to investigate.

Will you be updating this theme for WooCommerce 3.0?
Hi NSA Consultant
Yes, we are working on it as we speak. But do not update until we have a theme update release. We wrote on the support forum header about some significant issues in respect of Select2 script compatibility.
Woo also made drastic changes to the single product template, some other templates and they changed completely some function calls.
We are working on changing the update we already had finished and ready for release. The changes are going to take some time, I would suggest including testing, and allowing for the fact woo ver 3 itself has bugs and they are working on an update as well which I believe will impact the templates further, it could possibly be several days before we release if we choose to error on the side of caution.
Stay with the prior version of woo. This update is mostly under the hood changes, not features. Until everyone gets their ducks lined up in a row there is no urgent need to update to Woo 3.0.
I am following various forums and there are woo specific themes, plugins, and any product using Select2 (a huge amount) where the developers are crying a river of tears at this time. I understand why. Some of the woo changes, and really, the manner in which they were implemented, is just so typical of the methodology coming out of WordPress (Woo is owned by WP now).
Anyways, as we always do, we will update. We have solutions for many of the matters already, but there are a couple that will take time, unless we want to abandon some theme functionality for sorting of items, which we are reluctant to do.

Hello! I can use the Striking template for my 2 sites? One template for 2 sites.
Hi Diana
You can use the same template for each site. But ThemeForest requires you buy 1 license per site. So if you wish to use Striking MultiFlex on 2 websites, you have to buy 2 copies. That is how ThemeForest works.

Hello, I bought your Striking multiflex theme, I wanted to update Wjrdpress 3.3 and your previous Striking theme to a newer one. But I encountered a problem after updating the sliders when turning the pictures on the last one and the potm still appears and the page is narrowing then the picture is moving away. Do not tell me what the problem is?

I’ve spent the last hour or so trying to go through various resources related to Striking Multiflex as I had to decide whether I should buy this for a new website. While I saw many reviews saying that the support is amazing and the feature list and update frequency is super, I still kept getting this feeling of doubt in my gut. The main reason for that was I visited http://kaptinlin.com/support/ and http://www.strikingsupport.com/video-tutorials/ but couldn’t find detailed documentation in an easily readable form. The live demo also didn’t seem great. Ami I missing something? Why do public views of any official theme-related resource look like it’s a bit shady? Or is it a very techie-friendly theme and you’re specially creating a look which filters out people like me who are looking for presentability in a theme. I don’t know if this sounds a bit rude (apologies if it does) but I would love to see something that helps me decide.
HI
This is a lengthy reply but hopefully I touch on all your questions.
Its quite simple. DIY users such as you, who judge matters by the surface of things (in this case documentation and your “gut” feel), make lots, and lots, and lots of mistakes usually related to an utter lack of knowledge about WordPress itself, common browser behaviors, hosting related matters (perhaps the most common issue) and any and all attempts to customize their website whether it be something related to their google webmaster account, or any of the 95% of things that impact a website outside of a theme.
And for 7 years, since inception of Striking, we have been there to assist them, and in 99.99999% of all situations, resolve it, and usually rescue them from themselves. More often then not at no cost to them.
Secondly, we operate an open forum. That means we have a public support forum, which anyone from the web can view, and so publicly all our issues are laid bare for all to see. Most themes use a private ticket system so that all issues are hidden. Mind you, we have no issues typically, our code is very clean but having a public forum that is daily monitored is a godsend for the average wp newbie, and not typical of the industry.
Third, and you touched upon it – > updates. Perhaps you should go use the wayback viewer to see how many themes were in the marketplace when Striking was first introduced, and then check out how many of those themes still exist now, let alone might be updated for the current wp version. If your “gut” feeling was not very many, or even “I can count on both hands or maybe only one” you would be much closer to the truth.
In fact no wp theme in its history at TF has spit out more updates (and we have another about to come out).
The avg shelf life of a theme before it is abandoned by its developer is I think measured in months – I believe currently estimated at 14-16 months but I don’t know the exact number.
So how ecstatic do you think our users who purchased years ago are that their small theme expense has taken them all the way out to 2017?
On the issue of documentation: when Striking was introduced, the marketplace was oriented towards purchasers who were industry professionals who did not need any support or documentation.
We dealt with this by way of directing our users to our support forum when they needed help. But as well, its the inline documentation actually built into the theme itself that is our secret.
Normally a help field in a theme might have a little one line pop-up on hover over an icon. In Striking, we have the equivalent of about 75pgs of inline help – when you are working with a setting there is a trigger you can click, and a whole description comes up for most fields.
Your are correct we only have about 8-10 videos and about 70 pgs of pdf documentation. The trend now is to have a full fledged documentation site, whereas we operate a full fledged support forum.
We have not bothered outputting new docs as our theme is about to morph again soon (although it will be a paid upgrade vs a free upgrade) and we anticipate 100% of the userbase jumping given the feature benefits. So documentation focus is for the forthcoming upgrade product. New docs, vids, forum etc.
You might quibble about the extra expense of a paid upgrade path, but for any website owner who has hours and sometimes years of effort into their site, the ability to embark on a huge array of new abilities, but have all their existing content and site design remain intact, is a benefit worth its weight in gold. Normally when one switches themes one loses everything other then base content. Not with us. Everything is always 100% intact. A knowledgeable WP user would tell you they would shed a river of tears in happiness at such a benefit.
Finally! Your remarks about the public reviews and “shady” reflect a lack of knowledge about the review process. Only a valid 3rd party verified owner can post a rating and review. So what you see is what our userbase feels. We don’t have any way to influence or manipulate their opinions, good or bad.
What we regret most of all is that the review and rating system only really became popular well after our theme launch. Probably half our userbase never knew it existed or its importance to us at TF. They bought the theme, and have interacted via the support forum, and used the internal updating feature in the theme, and have never been back to TF since.

Thanks James. I agree with everything you said. However, after I posted this comment yesterday, I tried to find well-designed websites that used Striking Multiflex but couldn’t find anything that was top-notch in terms of design (which is fairly important to me right now). I saw many of the links mentioned in the showcase section of the theme description, but almost all those websites seemed very old and were not great in terms of design. I understand that I look like some fancy-hat only looking for form and not function, but I would be grateful if you could point me towards some websites which have been made using Striking Multiflex and look great too. Thank you for taking out the time and responding in detail.
Hi.
First I would say that “beauty is in the eye of the beholder”. Most often developers love to showcase some demos that are well above the skill level of the typical DIY webmaster to produce – high quality designers often charge as much as 1K per page which while they look fabulous, are well outside the price and ability of most. We make the point in the lead to the list of sites that most of the sites listed are DIY sites – not professionally designed.
The goal here was to show that a normal user with moderate or no design background could produce a site that worked for them and their audience. What you are I think is besides the matter – everyone of those sites the owner has told us they built it and it works for them. Some would be the first to admit they have very limited skill or design abilities, but what they did manage to do they are proud.
The feedback that is important to us is did they find any code errors? Did they find the theme abilities manageable and comprehensible? If they asked questions about usage or perhaps thought they had found a bug (very rare I might add) did we respond and cure the issue?
I think our customer satisfaction levels indicate we have had success in the matters we as a theme developer can control. On the other hand, their design abilities are something we cannot control!
You are correct in that we have not updated that list in some time. We only become aware of sites if an owner tells us about it otherwise we have no way of knowing who is doing what.

Hello, our site was hacked, and it looks like the theme files may have been affected, or at least the settings. The save button does not work in the theme configuration options (editing the footer text, for example). Clearing the cache does not help. Also, widgets added to the custom sidebar through appearance > widgets > do not display on the page. Is it possible to get a fresh zip file of the theme? thanks.

The theme automatically uses the page name and makes it the first h2 heading on the page content. Is there a way to ensure that that h2 heading will be a h1 heading instead? I have searched the theme files, but I could not find where to make the change to make this work.

Hi we have 2 company websites using the older Striking theme. StrikingVersion: 5.3.7.3 and StrikingVersion: 5.1.8.3. I buy the new Striking Multiflex theme, how easy/difficult will it be to update them? I’m worried if I switch themes the content/formatting will be a mess. What do you recommend?
HI rightortho
We don’t see a purchase badge beside your name and are guessing you had the sites built by someone else who purchased the licenses on your behalf but have moved to self management of your websites.
The site on 5.3.7.3 is a very easy update unless you have a lot of custom code – i.e. custom css, custom js, hardcoded theme files. If none of that the switch from the original Striking Portfolio theme to Striking MultiFlex is straightforward. We have a video and full set of instructions which you can access found at the following link:
Updating to Striking MultiFlex from the Original Striking Portfolio theme Instructions and Video
We wrote the code in MultiFlex so that it reads all your options in your Striking Portfolio theme, and applies them to the compatible settings in MultiFlex. Where there is no compatibility option, mainly with the Anything Slider (an html slider so hence that is not unexpected) the video and updating instructions advise on how you should alter your existing slider prior to updating (switch to the nivo slider or disable and then design a new slideshow using the Revolution Slider).
The site on the much older 5.1.8 series is a bit more problematic. But should you acquire a MultiFlex license in your own name, once you have a proper license code you will see the option in your Update tab to update to the latest theme version, after which you then undertake the switch to MultiFlex. You can also contact us at the support forum with your license code and we send you the full version of 5.3.7.3 which you can install by ftp as an alternative for the update process.
We undertake paid update work for our customers, particularly valuable when the website has customization or child themes in place, or just when a customer likes the fact we provide a guarantee on the outcome, plus we also perform a full backup (whats called a move file but does not contain email backup) which the customer can use to restore their website or move it to another host.
If our paid support is of interest, let us know.
Best Regards

Thanks for the reply. Do you see any danger by keeping our websites “as is” for the time being. I have not updated WordPress or theme as I’m worried the sites will crash. I guess… can we leave the sites as is for now or is there a security and/or programing issue?
Hi
Yes there are dangers. WordPress and Plugins both have had to have many updates even in just the last 3 months for security vulnerabilities. And this is even true for themes as it turned out WP had instructed themebuilders to perform a certain code action that has since turned out to be potentially vulnerable requiring some code adjustments in all themes with post types.
The site on 5.3.7.3 is fine if its wp and plugins are updated. The site using 5.1.8.3 should be updated as soon as possible.
We do updates for our customers, work guaranteed on a paid basis at reasonable costs if you would like us to update the website. You can send us an email by clicking on our profile, and we will reply by email.
