Hi. Avada theme is so slow to load. I tried the best to install caching plugins and resizing imaging but can you help me with something to get it to load faster?

I’m sorry, but clearly we have to clarify things for you because Avada performs extremely well in speed tests. Let us go over this in detail.
In fact, any hosting company will tell you that http://www.webpagetest.org is the best to test a site’s speed. Google constantly changes their algorithm and only tells a fraction of the story. - Automatically assuming that the slow speed of your site is because the theme is at fault, is speculation and unguided.
- There are a very many factors that influence performance, ranging from the number of plugins, to the server not having Gzip enabled, image optimization, incorrectly configured cache plugins, no cache plugins, missing images in child themes that you add as a customization and the list goes on

- – Install a solid cache plugin and configure it correctly

I have moved to a new domain name. Everything went smooth until i want to login and i get this error:

Problem with Portfolio Slide Show. Not showing latest portfolio post featured image in carousel layout but shows the featured image in grid mode. I have made sure that the post is the same as all previous in relation to featured image display. For the moment I have set the carousel layout to skip the 1st post to get around this problem. Please advise solution.

Hi, i need some help :
1. For my product page i want to be able to display 2 products in one column in mobile view how do i do that? 2. On my Hope Page i would also like images to show 2 at a time in a column too 3. Is there a way the theme can crop images to a moderate site or do i really have to resize all my images to use in woocommerce coz the variation in size is making it the products look really awkward. 4. how can i get more options for how my product looks apart from the classic and clean options?

Have you tried disabling the smooth scroll option in this case? please try and disable it from Avada > Theme Options > Advanced > Theme Features , however if the issue persist simply open a support ticket and our team will assist you with this issue.

Thanks for your reply Ammar. I’ve disable infinite scroll, replacing by “Load more buttons” but it’s the same issue. I have buy Avada a long time ago, my support is not available but i’ve never need support before. This bug appear in the last update.

Just a heads up here, you actually do have have valid and active Avada Grandfathered support. Because of our (ThemeFusion) policy for Grandfathered support due to when you purchased your Avada license, you do not need to extend/renew your item support for that license. hi i seem to be having a problem! i have set a transparent header for my pages which works great but on the woocommerce category pages the transparent background header doesnt work! how can i get this to work?

If you are setting the background using Fusion Options, this will not work on archive pages due to the way they are created as those are actually auto generated pages, however you can use custom CSS for that so please do open a support ticket and our team will gladly assist you with all your queries.

I’m using the Recent Posts element on my home page. GTMetrix is flagging my site with the “Serve scaled images”. It appears that it is resizing images with CSS instead of actually using a smaller image. I noticed it is no longer possible to define the “recent-posts” thumbnail size in the functions.php file. Can you tell me where I can define this size. And uploading a smaller size for every featured post is not an option. That would be ridiculous to have to do this for every post on my site. This is ONLY for recent posts.

Right now we do not have dedicated image sizes for recent posts actually, if you want to take control of your image size i will suggest using Blog Element in this case as both offers the same job of showing the posts on page and you can change the image size if required following this guide => http://bit.ly/2gfTFkT

The Blog element doesn’t keep the image thumbnails the same size though. The recent posts element does.

Doing a Google search about this request, reveals that people have asked to have this feature since 2014. So what’s the point? 3 years later, and it hasn’t been implemented. Why bother wasting my time.

Hi there, I am currently using the Cafe Demo site but similar to others I have a pixelated image problem. The problem is with the one image that sits on the right hand side of the first section of content – it presents my image poorly for some reason? I have tested with high res imagery and the problem still persists.
I think the problem is something to do with auto-resizing of my images. The problem has also occurred behind my ‘Service Bookings’ section. You can see my build site here; http://veloworks.co.uk/

The only reason you are having an issue with the images is because you are not selecting the larger image size at all actually, uploading a larger image and selecting a larger image are 2 different things so please read this article and it will solve your issues => http://bit.ly/2oOEB1V

1) Is it possible to create custom filters. E.g., for clothing, have filters based on fabric and not just price?
2) How do you store the user data- in what format and do you apply any compression, encryption, encoding?
3) Do I get the source code when I buy the theme- and is it open source and can I modify it?
4) What kind of general issues can arise if one tries to migrate away from the avada theme to another theme?
5) Is your theme mobile and tablet (small display) friendly?

1. You can simply use the WooCommerce variable products for that and can create variations on the basis of fabric so that should work for you.
2. What user data do you mean here? we use standard WP procedure as Avada is a WordPress theme and data is stored in the default way its stored in database for any other WordPress theme.
3. Ofcourse, you will get the WordPress theme files so you can create your own child theme and change the code as per your requirements.
4. This depends actually, basically there should be no issues however our Theme Options and Shortcodes are dedicated to Fusion Builder will not work on other theme in this case.
5. Yes, our theme is totally mobile and tablet friendly and 100% responsive, you can check our demos for further assurance

Just to be clear, for (1), what I meant was assigning custom tags to products and then have a filter section where different tags can be selected and different product list shown as a result.
Do we have that feature built in Avada shop pages?

What i meant is that we do not have our own ecommerce system and we use WooCommerce plugin for all the shopping / ecommerce requirement this feature you are looking for is not a default part of Avada or WooCommerce but they have a lot of extensions for their plugin which you can use to enhance the capabilities like the one i mentioned above, however if its not something that you are looking than i will suggest looking into more extensions of WooCommerce on google and once you find it you can then further research on that, we have no tested our theme on all the extensions of Woo so we can not be 100% sure about all of them but we use standard WP practices so you should be good to go

How do I change my logo link, I dont want it to point to the blog. I had read in the comment section that if I want to make the logo to point to another direction, is in the header.php
Also had read here in the comment section that is in the code <?php home_url(’/’); ?> And just letting you know I dont know where to add the code becouse everytime I add the code in the editor section of the wordpress theme it gives me an error.

Hey Guys, I’ve had a support ticket now go unanswered for several days. I have already done all that you guys asked in regard to disabling all plugins. Everything is up to date, and I STILL can’t save or update any options! Aicee replied to my issue: Can’t update any options. “There was a problem with your action. Please try again or reload the page.” Just need some communication. It’s been 3 days.

Hello,
I’ve seen that when working with categories and adding them to menus, the menu items also take the description of the category.
This is easy to reproduce:
Create a Blog category AND put write lines of description on it. Create a Main Menu. Add a Category Page as a menu item ...a see the results.
I solved this adding the menu item as a Custom Link pointing to the category page, however I this looks like a Bug.
