I bought at April 2017 the theme Gecko for 59 US $ Gecko – Powerful Ajax WooCommerce Theme
so to update my site and make it look better. After months of work to adjust every single detail on the theme ( where I have to say – as for his theme – that the author was really helpful ), came the last day that finally I wanted to upload the theme on my main domain. So long i was using a subdomain under my main domain so to have time and space to check everything . Have to say, that even how and where to keep\load my new theme to work with, I found it by myself. Jan studio did not help on that , either. But I thought that at the final stage he would. So, yesterday, I asked the author of the Gecko theme – Janstudio – to help me to upload the theme on my server, on my main domain, removing the old files and put all the new ones.I asked how to do it, so, not to loose or corrupt any file, which finally happened so. He replied that I had to contact the hosting services and not him. After some pressure, he asked me to give all my log in details and codes so, SOMEBODY, NOT HIM to check. So, to give him access to my information, products, photos, texts etc because he is lazy to do it correctly. I even asked him to charge me separately, for the information and help to upload the theme, but he denied. !
That means that after so long time, so many hours of work on his theme that I purchased, so long nights with less sleep, he could not help me any more on THE MOST CRITICAL PART, TO UPLOAD THE THEME CORRECTLY. What a shame !! What a behavior !! I had the final product, after so many efforts and I could not use it. So embarrassing.
He never mentioned clearly that he does not support the server uploads. HE NEVER SAID THAT ! He just left me now hanging, with a site that is finally broken since I lost files, database, and now i have to re do everything from scratch !
I am waiting of you guys of Envato, to take care of this issue. I do not trust any more any envato product since things are so fuzzy.. I wanted to buy the WIX themes before and use their services. But I found envato themes more attractive, you also say that envato is a group of IT specialists, programmers, html and php experts, so I felt so safe with this, so many professionals, I thought will be the best to rely on them… ! ! . By my results as now, nothing close to that !!!
So disappointing !!!!!!
You have to take some action. Please let me know, I have all communication chats with the author at your disposal I do not want just my money back as Janstudio asked me to do. These money are too little for my time that I lost for soooooo long , 5 months now ! ! Is a shame !!!!!

What message? The one that says that you cannot support if I do not give you my site info? Of course you can ! As wordpress have specific templates step by step how to load a theme, in 2-3 different servers you should have too. I am using plesk. I said it from the beginning. You simply DO NOT WANT to support this way, you want to keep a record of every site’s info and data. This is the reason and nothing else. You definitely know how to upload on the server, with just GIVING some instructions. Now is too late, my files all gone, most erased, I try to recover them now from backups, YOU CREATED A HUGE MESS !!! You lost file or database wasn’t our fault. We still keep all the support log, you can do what you like.
This is your mistake when you move your code to another folder and you said you lost your code, we ask you your site’s info to help you solve this but you didn’t cooperate and send us anything. How we can help you if we don’t have any info to check.

I am using Plesk
I went at my hosting settings to see if I can rename my www.testing.gecko.com ( example ) as the original domain www.gecko.com. Instead, word press asked me to use it as a wildcard sub domain by removing the word – testing- and by adding an * ( asterisk) instead of the word.
By this way, it was saying that any time somebody types the domain name www.gecko.com or any other sub domain it will automatically re direct to the original www.gecko.com. I assumed that it will read automatically the wordpress site I created.
Since the moment I did so , I lost the sub domain , now shows nothing on the browser, it says corrupted content error, I also have no more access to modify my www.testing.gecko.com site that I created for so long with word press and gecko theme. WTF is this? Are they serious in word press??? I also tried to rename my www.*.gecko.com wildcard to put it back as it was as www.testing.gecko.com but there is no more way to do it. There is no field anymore that I can change.
I am completely disappointing !!! So much work and I cannot do anything now. I need help urgently ! I waste half of my day so far. If at least I can move all the files to the root directory as I am asking at my previous post and I have the site running will be ok. But still, I do not know how to have the word press access again to modify my site.
Need help!!! is very annoying to reach to the end and finally everything does not work. I promised, that my site will be ready, running at 1st of September.

What is the point to make a web page by using a wordpress theme that you modified if I cannot load it on the server? You should have some instructions of how to load the finished wordpress site on a server.. What to do now??
I checked for hours now all the possible ways by my self. By asking your help, means that I have no more ideas about. Where the finished theme will be loaded? You should have some templates at least with the basic instructions,to try.

Did you try switch to another theme? If you want all site (testing.geckoc.com and gecko.com) redirect to www.gecko.com you don’t have to create new folder on htdocs you only config follow the article i sent or change on your .htaccess file. This is issue of hosting setting not related to our theme or any other theme.

i made a mistake by using the wildcard of the wordpress for my finished theme that I bought from you. Now I have no site running , no access as I had before, I cannot work at all at my site that I was preparing for months, and you telling me to ask the host provider that his hosting services are running correctly. And all this because you simply did not mention what to do and what not to do regarding wordpress . You could tell me from the beginning that you do not support anything else beside your theme. I would never buy it if I knew it would be so. Because there is no sense to buy something that at the end you cannot use it. You should create 3-4 templates of the most common ways to load the theme at the most common servers. Cannot leave me now with nothing at my hands. ! Even if I re make the whole site again, I still need to know how to load it. And at the end of the day you can ask for extra payment for those like me that do not know how to upload the theme. This price for the theme and its support, this price for the upload instructions, e.t.c., I am waiting your instructions
What another theme? THE SITE AS A SUBDOMAIN WAS RUNNING FOR MONTHS.It was running as testing.gecko.com instead of gecko.com. I made all tests there I even showed to the people. I only asked how to load it on the server by removing the old site that was not made by wordpress and put this on its position, and with the original domain name www.gecko.com. Just to remove the word testing in front Is it so difficult to know how to do this?

You still confuse. The theme is only load the content. The issue because you move your code to another folder so you can’t view your dashboard. I told you ask support from hosting provider they have more experience than us in this issue, they can help you check. We only can help you the issue related to our theme https://themeforest.net/page/item_support_policy, to check your issue, we need (cpanel, ftp, domain, database…) You even didn’t send us your site url, how we can help you without this. Only you and hosting support have this information and can be solve this issue.

I almost finished my site, I was working and checking on that as a sub domain so long. For example as www.testing.gecko.com Now I want to upload it under the httpdocs directory of my server, where the original – exampe – www.gecko.com resides. I am moving all files of the current running site – example – www.gecko.com to another empty folder I created at the server and I move all the files of the sub domain – example – www.testing.gecko.com into httpdocs folder but nothing comes up. I can see only the favicon at the top and a completely empty white page.
What do I do wrong?
And how I can have the correct domain again instead of the – example – www.testing.gecko.com I am using now?

I want to change some things in the add-to-cart template for variable products.
The file I want to change is within the core/libraries/vendors/openswatch/templates folder, but I dont want to change the original file in the theme in case there are any updates from you. So my plan is to overwrite it in my child theme… but if I put it in the same folder in my child theme the original file is still beeing used. So the question is what’s the best way to achieve this?

Hey, so when someone drop something into the cart, there is the option to show the minicart. The product pictures that appear within the mini cart are not adjusted to the size, so you don´t see the full product. The same problem appears on the checkout page, where the order details are listed, next to the products there is the product image again, where the size is not quite right.
