Hi
I have a basic install of workScout and I’m trying to create a posting that requires the employer to select a package in order to pay to list a job.
I have 2 products and I have made them a Job Package using the WC Paid Listings plugin, but when I go to the post a job form, the packages are not being displayed.
Is there any further configuration i need to do to get the packages to display?
Thanks
Hi
you don’t have “Purchased badge”. Please verify your purchase first if you wish to get any support.
I purchase the wrong one… I need the HTML version. Can you refund me so i can purchase workscout html
You’ve already downloaded the WordPress version, and you’ve stated in your refund request that you didn’t now about additional plugins. Now you say you need html, so send me please purchase code of html version (or contact html version author Vasterad so he will let me know) and I’ll give you refund
Thanks. Is this same company with vasterad?
I have already informed them, i did a comment on the html version. You can see my purchase badge there. Thanks.
Ok, refund granted

When a new job is submitted by an employer and he fills in the company name, a company archive page is created, am I right ?? This is because Company is a simple taxonomy for job listing post type?
If for example the company name is “My Awesome Company” the tanonomy is “My Awesome Company” and the archive page must be the example.com/company/my-awesome-company
Instead I get example.com/company/My Awesome Company and I get a 404 error. Why is this happening? Thank you.
Hi
actually it’s not a taxonomy, it uses a query_vars and rewrite_rule to create an archive.
The link should be https://workscout.in/company/Diag%20Block/ so in your case example.com/company/My%20Awesome%20Company
maybe it’s just a permalink issue, so please go to your Settings -> Permalink, and click “Save” there
I already did that (save the permalinks) it was the first thing I thought of. But still no luck. Is there anything else I could check?
Contact me via Support Tab, I’ll take a look
Hi on the job listing page, by default it shows the featured listings first and then the rest in order that you set from the Cusotmize -> Jobs Options -> Jobs.
I want to list all the job listings, both featured and simple, in date created order, I do not want the featured to appear first. How should I configure my shortcode for that?
If I want to show only 4 featured listings, in random order and then the rest in date created order is there a way to do this? For example use two shortcodes, one setup-ed to show only the featured ones in random order and the next one setup-ed to show them all in date created order.
The order on Jobs page listings (archive jobs) can be set only in Customize -> Jobs Options -> Jobs List page, and it’s not possible to use this shortcode twice on the same page if I recall correctly. You could use Spotlight Jobs element to show only featured jobs first, and then the rest
1. How can I show only the featured listings in random order? 2. How can I show all listings (both featured and simple) in date created order?
Maybe this will help https://wpjobmanager.com/document/shortcode-reference/#section-1
Can I add JM core plug-in later?
Sure, it’s not required to use the theme
I try to add 2 email for notification : in the resume settings, Notify email adress, I put 2 of my email to test, and did not received nothing.. i can see the job applications in the tab but did not received email notification… Thanks for help
I’m pretty sure it handles only one email but you might check with them https://wpjobmanager.com/support/ as this is entirely handled by te Resume plugin
Hi I noticed that mobile container version has a lot of white space left and right. This is a bit of waist of space. Can you place work on this in the next update? Or do you have a solution ready to use?
I wouldn’t say it’s a lot, in my opinion it’s enough. We’re not planing to change it but you can play with workscout/css/responsive.min.css file and change width of columns and container for mobile devices there.
ok tnx
How can I send a email for a new resume or new candidate apply on a job, if i have toi send a email to the job owner and a copy for me. So for employer no.1 I post a job offer no.1 and for employer no2 , I poste a job offer no2. I want a email to be sent to employer no1 and me if he received a candiate or resume. And the same for employer no2. If he received a candidate or resume, i want to send him a email and a copy for me.. Thanks and hope it is clear lol…
Uhm, not really
so basically you as admin want to also get notification if someone applies for a job? I think it might be possible with that plugin https://plugins.smyl.es/wp-job-manager-emails/ but please double check with their support
1- ok thanks ill check that plugin, but in the job manager itself, I can not put a email adresse for receiving the application or resume, directly when i post a job as a admin? it would have to be : create a account for the business, and then when they create or post a job, they put their email adress and received the application? 2- where do i choose what email to send the application? is it the email of the user who create a post?
There’s a field ‘Application Email or URL’ for that, if it’s empty user email will be choosed
Hi, i test again… and i put my email in that field, on a job post. When i test and apply on the job, i do not receive any alert or email… And it is the same email in the setting of the site.
Hi
does your WordPress send any other emails? Like registration confimration etc
no
... it sound like no email are sent… Im host with Godaddy and use gmail… what can I do?
That’s hosting issue then. Not theme related. Google WordPress email issues. There is plenty tutorials how to fix it
ok thanks ! ill check that. as usual, superb support ! have a nice day
thanks! you too!
I want to display Job Tags in Job Search Results page for each job next to Job Type Color Box. Can you please guide me to add it?
Search resutls is displayed using file workscout/job_manager/content-job_listing.php – you can display tags using get_terms, https://developer.wordpress.org/reference/functions/get_terms/ the taxonomy name is job_listing_tag
thanks. I will check that.
Hi, there is a bug and I need a fix for it.
On mobile device, on a single job listing page, when someone click “apply for job” the pop up window appear. The button that says “submit resume and apply” is not aligned properly. Please check the preview here https://ibb.co/gC5D45 This is from your website.
On my website is even worst, because I translated this to Greek and it is much bigger, so the half button is not on screen.
I use the below css as a temporary solution.
@media only screen and (max-width: 479px) { .mfp-content input[type=”submit”] { white-space: normal; } }
Just this is also enough .mfp-content input[type=”submit”] { white-space: normal; }
Thanks for the feedback and fix!
I disabled categories in Job listings. I removed Category Filter from Jobs side bar widget. Still, I see Category drop down in my browse_jobs page. Why?
I resolved it by adding this code in Additional CSS: .widget.job-widget-categories { display: none; }
You can also enable/disable search element on the edit page screen, there’s a list with ‘switch’ option below the editor
I tried those but it did not work.
Is it possible to link the button “Apply For Job” with external page?
Sure, that option is already in theme https://www.awesomescreenshot.com/image/2762943/d8d47be50111606cb9b618a6ab5ae5fa
Hi,
1) We have 3 subscription products, I want to set up the first subscription Product for free. So how do I set it up that the first subscription product is for free and the other one stay like this. Thanks
Hi
I’m not sure I understand the problem here but I’m not that familiar with Subscription plugins, but can’t you just set the price of the first product to 0?
Could you please let me know where the sidebar widgets (location, job type, category, filter by salary and filter by rate) found on the Browse jobs page are located? I am customizing this site and I cannot find them to add to the page.
I’d need some sort of verification first that you’ve bought or your client bought the theme
Do you have any plans to make the theme 100% GPL like Jobify has done?
Not at the moment, but we’re considering making another job board theme that would be 100% GPL and would be sold outside of ThemeForest
Ah ok – thanks for coming back so quickly.
Do i really to purchase “WPJM Resume Manager to get content that was on the website when i viewed it?
Yes, theme description is pretty clear about it, demo shows theme working with plugins that are not included with the theme.
Hi,
I created a new /jobs page, set it up via editor, deleted original jobs page, renamed new /jobs page: jobs (same url as original jobs page), saved. Refreshed page and it didn’t. It reverts back to original look/jobs page.
Any ideas? Thank you in advance.
It saved by ID, so your new page has different ID. You need to select it again in Dashboard -> Job Listings -> Pages -> Job Listings page.
Please consider renewing your support as your included support period has expired. That help us maintain the theme and develop it further. Many thanks!

That does not work. What is the path to change the ID in file?
there’s no “path to change ID”. Can you send me link to your page so I could check it? I’d probably also need access to your wp-admin – you can send it via Support Tab
I’m looking to use this theme but provide English & Polish language. Is it possible to translate the theme language information but also translate information from Visual Composer?
Hi
Theme is of course fully translatable http://www.docs.purethemes.net/workscout/knowledge-base/theme-translation/ but if you want to make a bilingual page, you’d need a plugin for that like for example WPML. WorkScout is not advertised as WPML compatible theme, but I’ve seen a couple site that successfully used it, however that required more work.
hi is there a way to look at the RTL version of this theme ?
i also want to know if there is any way to charge subscriptions from users? I would like to run this theme as a freelance micro job platform so users will pay subscription to view job posts (we dont transfer money for jobs) ? please advise Tnx
I don’t have now any option to show RTL version, I’ll look at the options I have but I think I’d need to create a new demo that would be RTL. There’s no option to charge for job view, that would require custom modification or 3rd party plugins (like Restrict Content Pro)
hi again. 1. does this theme support RTL? 2. is there a customer that uses it with RTL maybe you can send the url for reference. 3. no need for content restrict just payment on registration for job appliers .
Yes it is, example http://jobtrr.com/ or http://jobs.infogan.co.il/
There’s no option to charge for user registration, you’d have to find a plugin that does that.
