I am trying to update my visual composer version but can’t because of an issue with this theme. I reached out to support on VC and this is what they said
“The auto-updates are not possible at your end because the product license tab at your end is disabled by the theme author using vc_set_as_theme. You can get in touch with the theme author and get rid of the above code from the theme to get it back. Once done, you can activate the plugin license as per: https://vc.wpbakery.com/video-academy/activate-visual-composer-wordpress-license/ to avail auto-updates.”
Can you assist me with this issue please?
Of course the auto-update feature is disabled by default when the Visual Composer plugin is included in the theme. You will need to update the theme to get the new update of that plugin.
The current version of VC that’s included in the latest update of this theme is 5.0.1 as you can see in the update log: https://themeforest.net/item/vela-responsive-business-multipurpose-theme/9793377#item-description__update-log
If you’re using that version, you don’t need to update it. This to make sure it will be compatible and work properly with the theme.
How do I update the theme? In my dashboard there is no indication that an update is required, not in the theme options or in the appearance>themes area.
Thanks in advance.
To enable the auto-update for the themes downloaded from ThemeForest. You have to install the Envato Market plugin first.
First of all, you should download the main package content in the Downloads tab on ThemeForest, choose “All files & documentation”.
And then extract the zip file, you can follow the instructions on how to update the theme in our documentation inside the folder “Documentation”.
Thank you I have made all of the updates, but I am still receiving the message that I have to authorize VC, and when I try to I get an error message that says I do not have access to that. Any idea why that might be? Thanks so much for your help so far!
i have followed all of the steps in the documentation and have the envato plugin installed, but I am still not able to update my version of VC and i am still being asked to activate it by the plugin.
You don’t need to activate the plugin purchase code. If you couldn’t update it. Try to delete it from the Plugins screen first, after you delete it you will see a notification message to install the new one that’s included in the theme. Don’t worry, delete that plugin won’t affect your current content and settings.
If it still doesn’t work, please provide me your site URL and admin login credentials in the contact form: https://themeforest.net/user/wyde#contact
Thanks for your ongoing help. Things seem to be mostly better, except that now much of the text of my site has turned white, even though it is set to gray (515151), and so many text areas appear blank as they are overlayed on white space. Do you have any idea why this might be? Thanks!
Try to check the settings of those rows and columns. Make sure you’ve selected “Dark” for the “Text Style”. If you choose “Light”, the text inside those rows and columns will be white.
They are set to dark. I have checked all of them. Any other ideas?
I have never seen this issue before. There may be a plugin conflict on your site. If you have other plugins installed, try to deactivate them to see if it works.
Also, try to check if you have custom CSS that changes the text color.
Anyway, it would be easier if I can inspect your site directly with the developer tools.
OK, what do I need to do to be able to allow you to do that? Thanks for continuing to help!
Could you please provide me your site URL? You can send it in the contact form: https://themeforest.net/user/wyde#contact
Hi there,
Thank you for the site credentials!
There are invalid HTML elements included in your slider. That makes the whole page didn’t work properly.
If you added custom HTML into the slide to set the text color or style. I would recommend you to use the options in the Style tab instead, see more here: https://www.themepunch.com/revslider-doc/layer-styles-positioning/
Anyway, if you’d like to put the custom HTML directly, make sure you’ve added a closed tag for each element correctly.
In this case, you should edit your slide to replace the code below:
<font color="ffffff">Contact Sales <i class="fa-icon-envelope-o" /><font><font color="2f4f4f" /> </font></font>With:
<font color="ffffff">Contact Sales <i class="fa-icon-envelope-o" /></font><font color="2f4f4f" />
Thank you so much! That was making me crazy! I really appreciate your help!
You’re welcome
Hi, First of all, thanks for the great theme!
We’ve encountered a problem, though. We recently updated visual composer to 5.2.1., and after the update we have an issue with Text block elements.
Console gives out error of “Failed to load resource: the erver responded with a status of 500 (Internal Server Error) /wp-admin/admin-ajax.php”
From a quick lookup I saw the some others are experiencing the same issue. Do you have an idea on how to fix it?
Thanks a lot!
Thank you for your question and details.
I think that this is a PHP compatibility issue. The current version of this theme is not compatible with PHP 7.1.
Also, actually the current compatible version of Visual Composer that’s included in the theme is 5.0.1 as you can see in the changelog: https://themeforest.net/item/vela-responsive-business-multipurpose-theme/9793377#item-description__update-log
We’ve never tested it with 5.2.1 so we couldn’t confirm that will work properly.
Anyway, we’re working on this and will release the new update of the theme that is compatible with PHP 7.1 and the latest update of VC ASAP!
Thank you for reporting this issue!
Hi, do you know how I do to show an other picture when I make a hover on a pic in the shop?
When I am in the single shop page and click om the product picture, it will not shown up in a lightbox…just in a blank window. What is wrong?
//Johanna
Hi,
1. I’m sorry but this theme doesn’t show gallery images as slideshow on the shop page. It displays only the featured image. I think that you will need to install the third party plugin.
2. That’s a bug of the theme with the new update of WooCommerce. It will be fixed in the next update.
Hi, it seems from reading other posts that the VC “Equal Height” option for row columns has been removed from the Vela theme. Accepting full responsibility for re-enabling it and the issues it may cause, how would I do that?
Actually, this theme has an Equal Height feature since the initial release, before the “Equal Height” option is available in VC.
But we include it in the “Content Vertical Alignment” option. If you set that option to “Middle” or Bottom, it will automatically enable the Equal Height feature.
hmmm… oddly that doesn’t work for me. I have the container row with “Content Vertical Alignment” set to “Middle” (or “Bottom) and the 2 columns therein are not the same height. Even if I set the highest level row with the same “Content Vertical Alignment” settings. I cut out all custom CSS in case that was interfering with this, but still no.
It’s working fine on our demo as you can see in the link below, the columns in each row have the same height: http://wydethemes.com/vela2/our-services/
Could you please provide me your site URL? You can send it in the contact form: https://themeforest.net/user/wyde#contact
I sent you a mail.
Thank you for a mail!
The HTML structure on your site is totally different from the theme provided. Some plugins are changing the page layout and HTML structure so the layouts and features from the theme didn’t work.
Actually the row layout from this theme should be:
<section class="section">
<div class="container">
<div class="row">
<div class="vc_col-md-12 column wpb_column">
<div class="wpb_wrapper">
......
</div>
</div>
</div>
</div>
</section>
But on your site is:
<div class="cpt-wrapper-before">
<div id="main_frame" class="row wpb_row alt-color no-padding full v-align v-middle ult-vc-hide-row vc_row-has-fill" data-rtl="false" data-row-effect-mobile-disable="true" data-img-parallax-mobile-disable="true" style="position: relative;">
<div class="vc_col-md-12 vc_hidden-sm vc_hidden-xs column wpb_column">
<div class="wpb_wrapper">
.....
</div>
</div>
</div>
</div>
Try to deactivate other plugins to see if it works.
Hi! When you update Chrome to version 61 one-page website links have stopped working, including on Your demo http://wydethemes.com/vela3/, what can I do?
Thank you for reporting this issue, we’re working on this and it will be fixed in the next update.
Also, I will get back to you with a solution ASAP!
Hi! You have the demo working links, what need to do?
This is a bug of the scrollTo jQuery plugin that’s included in this theme, it doesn’t work with the new update of Chrome. This issue will be fixed in the next update of the theme. We will release the new update in a couple of days.
OK, thank you! waiting.
Hi, I use the vela theme at www.isdesubsidieaanvragen.nl but the automatically made one-pager gives me a headache, as the first section (the frontpage) has no box – it’s without any margin full width. I cannot find settings to change this anywhere. Please help!
Sorry, same question as above (I was logged in as MacMartino, another company user) It took a while to work with your theme, and hope you can take a look at it. It drives me crazy.
It’s in your Home page. Go to Pages to edit the Home page, edit the settings of the 2nd row to change the “Content Width” to “Default”.
If it doesn’t work, you can provide me your admin login credentials so I can help you out. You can send the credentials in the contact form in the link below: https://themeforest.net/user/wyde#contact
Yeah! thanks. I’ve searched and searched
now it’s ok.
Visual Composer edit boxes are not working – the content will not load in order for it to be edited. Visual Composer support said “your theme is blocking an access to core WordPress admin-ajax.php file which is require for editing the text blocks.” We are running the latest Vela theme and latest Visual Composer plugin. We are desperately trying to get this resolved! How can we resolve this issue today if possible? Thank you for your prompt response!
I suppose that this is a PHP compatibility issue. If your server is running on PHP 7.1. Try to downgrade it to 7.0 to see if it works. Our demo sites are running on PHP 7.0 and everything is working fine. It will be compatible with PHP 7.1 in the next update.
The site is hosted by GoDaddy, server is running PHP 7.0 currently. NOTE Visual Composer Support sighted this as the issue: “your theme is blocking an access to core WordPress admin-ajax.php file which is require for editing the text blocks.” What is the work around for this issue? Thank you for your quick response!
I have no idea why you think so but this theme doesn’t block an access to core WordPress admin-ajax.php file. If it does, you will no longer use several other features from WordPress and Slider Revolution plugin including the AJAX Page Transitions and AJAX Live Search that are included in the theme.
As I mentioned before, everything is still working fine on our demo sites. That means nothing is blocking an access to admin-ajax.php.
Actually, if there is a PHP error while you edit the content element settings, it will display an error from admin-ajax.php but this doesn’t mean that the theme is blocking an access to that file.
Anyway, if you have other plugins installed, try to deactivate them to see if it works.
Also, if you’d like you can provide me your site URL and admin login credentials in the contact form below: https://themeforest.net/user/wyde#contact

I’m sorry but the theme support is only available for users who have purchased this theme.
Please contact us from the account that purchased this theme to make sure you’re currently in the correct product page that corresponds to what you have purchased.
Great! we did buy the theme. I have my login details from themeforest. Where do I find the support?
Here’s the theme support page but I couldn’t find the purchased badge in your account name. That means you haven’t purchased this theme. If you did it with another account, you have to login with that one instead.
As you can see on the comments page: https://themeforest.net/item/vela-responsive-business-multipurpose-theme/9793377/comments There are purchased badges on the accounts that purchased this theme.
Hello. The theme interferes with the “Add To Cart” button for the BeatStore plugin I’m using. If I switch to any other theme then the button works. (If I click the button it loads and then says Checkout). Also an open tag is displayed at the top containing the page name. This only happens on the vela theme and none other. Help!!
http://iammahari.com/beats/bandeaux/I think that this is an AJAX Page issue. Try to disable AJAX Page Transitions in Theme Options -> Page -> AJAX Options to see if it works.
I tried that and it is still not working. What else could be the issue?
https://image.prntscr.com/image/3wOncBO_QvyQXCZCaLK9WQ.pngAfter inspecting with the developer tools. There is no script error found on that page. I’ve never tried that plugin before so I have no idea why it doesn’t work.
Try to deactivate other plugins to see if it works. If it still doesn’t work, please provide me your admin login credentials: https://themeforest.net/user/wyde#contact
All plugins are disabled except BeatStore. Easy Digital Downloads, SuperCPT, WP REST API and Wyde Core are also enabled but do not have a deactivate feature. Note that when I switch the theme, the button works even with no plugins disabled. I sent admin info.
Thank you for the site credentials!
There is a script conflict on your site. When I exclude the Bootstrap script from the theme, that button seems to work. Unfortunately, this theme requires Bootstrap to be included. So, I just added some scripts to your Theme Options -> Advanced -> Body Content to fix to work around this issue. It seems to be working now, please check it out.
However, when you move your site to another hosting provider, please copy those scripts and put them into your new site too.
Anyway, I couldn’t confirm that everything will be working properly since the BeatStore plugin is not included in the plugins support list.
For the e-commerce or store plugin, this theme is compatible with WooCommerce plugin only as you can see in the theme features, it doesn’t support other store plugins.
Wow. Thanks for such great support!!
Hello, I have question about you Vela 3 theme. When I installed Poly Lang plugin and added new main page I got different background. In preinstalled version is panorama view of New York however after this I got video background (somebody writing on Mac keyboard). The question is, where can I change this background? Thanks
You can change that background in the Slider Revolution page on your WordPress admin. Edit the slider to change the background image or video. You can find more details on how to change the slider background here: https://www.themepunch.com/revslider-doc/main-background/
Hi Guys,
I really love your Theme! Great job! And I love the “Q&A” under the Pricetables. I would like to use it on another WP Theme, because I don´t need it on my “Vela”-site. Is it possible to put only the “Q&A” in another Theme.
Thanks in advance
Norman
Actually the Q&A is a built-in content element from Visual Composer called “Toggle”. Of course you can put it in another theme.
However, it will look different from the one in this theme because this theme comes with custom styles for all content elements that were designed especially for this theme. Those styles are included in the main theme CSS. It’s pretty hard to implement them in another theme.
Thanks a lot Wyde for this detailed explanation. Now I know what to do next…
You’re welcome
We are unable to use Visual Composer – the edit boxes will not load the content once they are selected – VC WpBakery Support team diagnosed the issue: “your theme is blocking an access to core WordPress admin-ajax.php file which is require for editing the text blocks. You can see that the chrome console shows this error:
“Failed to load resource: the server responded with a status of 500 (Internal Server Error) /wp-admin/admin-ajax.php”
Can you please send us instructions on adjusting the theme code per this diagnosis? – we have a time-sensitive event so Thank you in advance for your prompt response
I’m sorry but the theme support is only available for users who have purchased this theme.
Please contact us from the account that purchased this theme to make sure you’re currently in the correct product page that corresponds to what you have purchased.
Hi – how do I change the color of the buttons on various pages of my site? It’s still showing as orange even though the rest of the site accents and hover colors have been updated to the red I’m using. Thanks!
Hi,
Actually when you change the theme color scheme in Theme Options -> Styling, the color of the buttons and links on all pages should be updated.
However, if you have set custom color for some buttons, you should edit those buttons one by one to manually change the color.
If it still doesn’t work, please PM me your site URL: https://themeforest.net/user/wyde#contact
Hi, I updated the Styling page with the red color I wanted but the buttons are still showing as orange. How do I manually change the color of the buttons page by page? Thanks!
Edit the page with the Backend Editor and then edit the Buttons and Info Boxes one by one to change the color.
For the button in the main slider on your home page, you have to edit the slider in Slider Revolution as below:
1. Go to Slider Revolution on your WordPress admin, edit the slider called “Vela 5”.
2. Select that button on your slider and open the Advanced Styles, see the picture below:
3. Select the Border tab to change the border color of the button:
4. To change the background color when hovering, you have to select the Hover tab first, see the picture below:
And then set the background color in the Background tab.
I love the layout and look of the theme. Over 100 wordpress sites installed and this is the only one that takes more than 30 seconds to load. I have done everything. Removed the slider, turned every option off on the page options section, and still it takes forever to load. tempted to just go back to straight html.
Thank you for your feedback. However, our demo site takes just a couple of seconds to load as you can see here: https://tools.pingdom.com/#!/duGszX/http://wydethemes.com/vela1/
Try to install a cache or minify plugin to compress resource files from your site. We’re using W3 Total Cache plugin: https://wordpress.org/plugins/w3-total-cache that comes with both cache and minify features. This can reduce the download times and improve your server performance.
If you’d like you can provide me your site URL so I can check it and help you out. You can send it in the contact form: https://themeforest.net/user/wyde#contact
Thank you for the site URL!
I just inspected your site with developer tools.
This is not a theme issue but it’s a web server related issue.
Your server takes several seconds to response. The browser takes almost 20 seconds to download your home page ( that is just 78KB ) and takes almost 10 seconds to download the resource files from Visual Composer and Slider Revolution plugin. And there are some resource files couldn’t be downloaded, see the picture below:
This is not a normal speed but it’s too slow. I also tested it with the Google Page Speed, it says “Your server response time is 28.8 seconds” as you can see in the picture below:
It’s very slow to response. You should check your server configurations.
Also, after testing with the Pingdom, it takes over 28 seconds to load your website: https://tools.pingdom.com/#!/UKinY/http://www.azdiveshop.com/
I also tested our website with the same environment and from the same location, it takes only 1.8 seconds to load: https://tools.pingdom.com/#!/drscfF/http://www.wydethemes.com/vela1
It seems like you’re using a low performance web server. If you’re using a shared-hosting, you should upgrade your hosting plan. Or move to other hosting providers instead.
i moved hosting and the site is working much better.
Glad to hear that it’s working much better
I would recommend you to use a cache and minify plugin too. It will improve your server performance and reduce the download times.
Also, we would be very happy if you would update your recent review for this theme
The negative rating would affect the product sales in the future.
Thank you!
Certainly. is there a way to change the page template for the blog or page created by a third party plugin? Also the blog posts won’t change format to masonry or other. And finally the scrolling of the team slider. Is it possible to change the speed?
Thank you for your kind understand!
1. Actually you should be able to change the page template because this is a WordPress theme and it supports the page template. However, when you use other templates the look of the blog and page would be different from the default template from the theme, this depends on the third party plugin or the new template design.
Also, to set the blog posts layout:
First of all, please make sure you have set your blog page as a Posts Page in Settings -> Reading. And then you can set the blog posts layout and other blog settings in Theme Options -> Blog.
2. Unfortunately, there is no option to change the speed of the Team Member Slider in the current version of the theme. We will look into this, it would be added in the future.
Hi,
The Slider Revolution Background Image goes white for first time visitor users on our website – we have had multiple complaints about this on our website and of course this is not great as you cannot see the image. Which makes it look like the website slider is broken.
This seems to only occur for first time users which is a massive problem and can turn away potential customers!
Please let us know if you have had this issue before and if you know of a fix as we’ve seen this happen on the demo theme – http://wydethemes.com/vela1/ before too.
(Please ‘Clear Cache’ and ‘Clear Cookies’ and view the link – http://wydethemes.com/vela1/ and you will see the Slider background image is white on first viewing.
I’ve tried it many times but couldn’t find that problem. Of course I’ve purged both server and browser caches. However, the slider displays a loader animation with the white background while loading a background image and then the background image shows up in just a second. It doesn’t keep showing a white background. This is what the slider works but is not a problem.
I have no idea why it doesn’t work on your end. Try to enable the “Preload Images” option in Theme Options -> Page -> Page Options to see if it works.
Also, please make sure you’re using the latest update of the theme (1.9) that comes with the Slider Revolution plugin 5.3.1.
Hi,
Thanks for your feedback. I will give your suggestions a test and see how we go.
Thank you
Hello, which is the current version of your theme? One of my clients needs help with his website design, using Vela, and his current version is 1.8.6 Do I need to update? Thank you very muchs
The latest update of this theme is 1.9. We would recommend you to update the theme because your current version was released over a year ago and there was a security issue in the old version of Visual Composer plugin.
Hi Wyde
I’m heavily struggling with setting up a page using your vela3 one page demo. As i read i should activate the one page option in template options. but i can’t find this option. I am using the latest version of wordpress.
The Page is located here: https://minirockzh.ch/abcd/
If i go to Pages i can only show all or create a new one. There are no options. Even in Appearance > Themes there is no such option.
As i am in vacation my internet connection is very bad, thats why i had to upload all files manual, and not by using wordpress’ upload theme function.
Thank you very much in advance.
When you import One Page demo in Theme Options -> Home, it automatically import all settings for the one page site, you don’t need to enable it manually.
However, you can manually enable the One Page Site option in Theme Options -> Page -> Page Options.
Also, please make sure you’ve set up your Primary Menu in Appearance -> Menus so all pages in the menu items will appear on the front page automatically.
Thank you for your response. I couldn’t see the regarding option because the redux framework wasn’t uploaded correctly. now everything works fine
But i have another question: Is it possible to link from a slider further below than just only “next section”? I want to link from the second slider to the section “Galerie”. I was able to set a link to the URL of the Galerie section, but I want the page to scroll and not to open a new URL
Thank you very much in advance.
Thank you again for your reply. I’ve set #miniROCK_gallery as row ID in the visual composer. Then I’ve set the function as you mentioned including my ID and saved everything. But it does not work.
I’m very sorry to bother you again.
The row ID should be minirock-gallery (without # and use – instead of _). Then put wyde.page.scrollTo(”#minirock-gallery”) into the function in the Slider Revolution.
Hi Wyde and thanks again.
I renamed the row ID (without # – the # is displayed automatically after saving) and set the function according your instruction. But it’s still not working. The cursor changes but nothing happens when I click.
I made a new button with the same settings which isn’t working too.
Any ideas or hints on that?
I just inspected the code on your site, there was an error in the browser console. There are some invalid characters in your code.
When I provide the code in the comment box, unfortunately the double quotes (”...”) will be replaced with the unicode characters.
Here’s the right code, please do not copy from the comment. You have to re-type it manually in the Slider Revolution. Also, try to use single quote instead of double quote.
wyde.page.scrollTo('#minirock-gallery')
Hey Wyde, thank you very much. It is now working perfect!
Your support is as amazing as the theme, thank you very much!
Happy to hear that it has been resolved

Hi, how will I get a lightbox view in my single product page?
Hi,
This is a bug of the theme in the new update of WooCommerce plugin. Thank you for reporting this issue, it will be fixed in the next update.
Hello! Im having trouble with my slider. I tried the 3D in revolution slider and adjust something and it’s not showing
I also check my theme in Theme Check and i found some errors. Here’s some screenshots:
Thanks !
I updated my theme version and revolution slider before I tried the 3D
Actually the theme check plugin won’t tell you exactly what issue on your slider and the theme. It’s just for developers to make sure the codes are fit to WordPress theme development rules. This is for the theme review process but you don’t need it since this theme has been approved from Envato Staff before releasing on Envato Market.
Anyway, here’s exactly error what you will need to fix: https://prnt.sc/g3q7e1
There are JavaScript errors on your site. After you update the theme and Slider Revolution plugin, please make sure you’ve purged all caches on your server and your browser caches.
Also, if you’ve other plugins installed, try to deactivate them to see if it works.
