Thanks for the quick response! With my hosting provider, the only PHP spec I’m unable to adjust is the memory limit, which I can’t seem to get beyond 40MB even though they “claim” it has the ability to go to 512MB (due to it being on a shared server). Is this still okay?
Also, are any of the demo templates able to be turned into a one-page design?
You are welcome! I am afraid that we cannot provide any guarantee on this. It also depends on how many plugins you will use. You will probably have issues with the import process with this memory limit.
About the one page, check this article http://docs.greatives.eu/tutorials/anchor-menu-navigation-in-osmosis/ to know how to set it up. It is a tutorial for the anchor menu, but in the exact same way you can create one such menu for the Header Menu as well.

Ok – Thank you for your help. Sorry to be discussing in the comments thread. However I feel it pertains to future buyers.
This option: http://greatives.eu/themes/osmosis/coming-soon/ which is listed within the case study tab of your main demo. The way it is set up customers could infer it as being available the same as other demo content pages within the same tab. Yet it is not, to my knowledge. I went through the prebuilt page options and did not see it.
If it is a prebuilt option like all of the other case study pages on the demo please let me know. Or perhaps mention that on the demo or not display it as a new feature of v3.0
I want to make that clear for future buyers because the way that page is displayed in your demo makes it easy for the customer to infer it is a prebuilt option.

It seems we missed to include this page (it is part of the main demo) in our importer. You can still create the page you wish (this is a window height section) and set it as your coming soon page. And yes, it is a prebuilt option and a new feature of v 3.0. We have just missed to include this page and we will sort it out in the next theme release.

Ok – When will the next release update be available with this option pre-built?
I went to set it up manually but I believe it to not be there. ie The “window height section” is no where to be found, it may have a different name? I do not see it. As well I do not see a countdown module.

What we missed is to include the specific page that demonstrates this feature in our demo importer. We will add this page in Osmosis importer in the next theme release. Unfortunately, I am not able to estimate the time for this but if you still meet issues to create this page please open a ticket on our Support Forum to set it up for you.

Osmosis is ready to be translated into any language and it is also fully compatible with WPML and Polylang plugins – http://docs.greatives.eu/tutorials/translation-wpml-multilingual-plugin/ . Italian po/mo files are also included in our theme. However, this does not mean that all strings are translated.

Since my support has run out for this theme, and my question is not regarding a customization, I was hoping someone could maybe answer my question in here:
When I create a new blog post for my website, I want Google to know about this and crawl the new post as soon as possible. With my old website’s theme, I use to use a plugin called “Google XML Sitemaps” to achieve this. There was an option to suggest to Google and other search engines to crawl my site hourly for new blog posts, and crawl my home page daily, etc.
Since upgrading to Osmosis, I’ve noticed an option in the General theme settings for adding my Google analytics ID and tracking code. My question is… how is Osmosis set up to handle updates to Google? In other words, how often is it pinging to Google to tell it when I create a new blog article, or an update to my home page, etc? Does anyone know?
I’m basically just wanting to know if I should be using the plugin or if Osmosis can handle the basics for me. I notice that a blog article I created a day ago still hasn’t indexed with Google, though it maybe just hasn’t had enough time. Thanks for any feedback anyone can provide in regards to how Osmosis handles updates with Google Analytics, or how it ranks pages, posts, etc.

Osmosis is a SEO (Search Engine Optimization) ready WP theme. It follows official WordPress Codex rules and guidelines with clean code to ensure that your site will have no issues with the search engines. To be honest, these are the basics that a theme must provide. Extra functionality for such purposes, it is plugin territory. Shortly, for anything advanced (like SEM – Search Engines Marketing) you have to use external plugins (XML sitemaps, SEO plugins) or any other paid services (Google AdWords).

What I meant was that my request didn’t require any coding assistance, but instead a general answer regarding the theme. I basically just wanted to know if a sitemap plugin would be better to use or if the built in basic tracking code is enough. Since you say the latter is enough, that works for me. Thanks.

1. We provide support for bbPress but we have never checked Osmosis and BuddyPress. I think that you will have no compatibility issues with any professional plugin. However, there is no stylesheet for BuddyPress so you will get the plugin’s style as it is.

You can enable the VC auto updater and both Grid and Chart elements under Theme Options > Miscellaneous. However, it is worth noting that we do not use the initial VC’s elements on our demos so you will have the style that VC provides on these elements. Osmosis elements are especially handmade for the theme’s preferences and they harmoniously use the amazing visual interface of the VC.

I was wondering if there was a way to keep the logo and menu inside the container instead of aligning to the far left and right on scroll? I’d like to keep the two aligned within the parent container so it doesn’t look like the logo is floating far left. Thanks!

I think that you see this because you are using the Advanced Sticky Header type. You can just change it under Header Options > Sticky Header Options.

I am tweaking my existing website a bit and I found out that if I would like to change the Title Tag on a page in featured image it won’t change.
So I go to my homepage -> featured image edit settings -> Title tag H1 -> change it to H6 -> nothing happens.

Title tags are SEO related and do not have to do with typography if this is what you after. If you want to change the typography please go under Theme Options > Typography Options > Feature Section Typography.

I know that my support has expired but I have a quick question anyway: is it normal for the theme settings NOT to appear?
Clicking “Theme Settings” gives me an empty page. Clicking any Theme Settings submenu does the same.
I just want to enter my licence and test out this theme for my new site to see whether or not I should renew my licence.

Just to be clear: none of the Theme Setting are available. Clicking on any Theme Setting produces a blank area where the options should be. WordPress loads fine. Also, I have no plugins installed on my browser either (Chrome).
I tried looking at your support site for answers but it keeps producing 502 Bad Gateway messages.

Firstly, let’s clarify that we cannot verify any issue with Osmosis. For any user who has the latest version and use it as it is, works just fine. You can test it by yourself if you download it again and install it with no 3rd party plugins enabled. So, we suppose that something is wrong with your installation (outdated theme, outdated required plugins, 3rd party plugins etc). There are many factors that someone needs to investigate and this is why we need access to your dashboard in order to help you further.
About the Ticksy Support System, it seems there are some issues there. However, this is an external service that we do not handle. Thanks for your patience.

Osmosis a wonderful theme, great job by the Osmosis team. We have used Osmosis for a client and like it very much, hence considering using it again for a new e-commerce website. However, I have a few quick questions whether certain features which the client requested can be implemented in Osmosis. I am mainly trying to answer 3 questions here:(a) can these features/options be implemented using osmosis? (b) if they can be implemented, can it be done without code customization? (c) Else if code customization is needed, will Osmosis provide it, and how much will be the cost for customization?
We need to know this so that we can decide whether Osmosis will be best suited for these purposes, and to estimate the amount of time, work & cost involved in providing these features/option for the client. hope you can give us some inputs.
Options/features desired:
1. Client wants login option for selected users, i.e. trade partners. When trade partners login, they will see the same products at a discounted price than the regular website visitor.
Can this be done with Osmosis in its current form? Or will this need code customization? If it can be done as it is (without code customization),
(a) will the implementation at our end need 2 pages to be created for every product, 1 which will be displayed for regular visitors, and 2nd page with discounted rate for logged in trade partners?
(b) Alternately, can it be implemented at our end such that we create only 1 product details page, and just display additional information (say partner discount) in the product page for partner logins only? And then during checkout/billing, woo-commerce will automatically apply the discount?
2. Do all buyers have to login to buy? If client wants non-partners, i.e. regular visitors to buy without having to login, can it be done?
Currently, in the Osmosis demo, after adding products to cart, during checkout login is required to complete the checkout process. There is no option to buy without logging in.
3. What payment methods will be available to the visitors as of now? The client is in Paris and wants a french website. So if he wants any special/additional payments options (commonly used in France), can it be added without any code customization?
Hope to get your responses at the earliest to help us decide on Osmosis for our next project. Also, if you would recommend any of your other themes that can do all these listed above, please do let us know. Thank you very much.
