So… I am stuck trying to add a sidebar to the archives and tag pages.
I was trying to search in the theme guide, but it shows 404 error. Where is it?

If you’re referring to the archive pages for the sidebar, you can select your desired sidebar based template in the Salient options panel > blog tab and then assign widgets to it in the normal appearance > widgets location

I just started having an issue with the Checkout after Updating to the latest WooCommerce version a few minutes ago. The checkout just spins and spins without ever allowing the customer to put in their CC information. Is this a problem anyone else is having?
All template files have been updated as well and the issue remains. This isn’t good as no orders can come through now. Hopefully this can be addressed quickly. Thank you for your help!

Hi, with the last update, the logo disappeared on menu. If deleted the link with logo file, the logo appear in the transparency mode, and then, when I scrolling down, the dark logo not appear.
Why everytime I update the theme there are some problem with the logo???

Am totally confused.
If I use the ‘demo importer’ within the salient options – no matter what I choose, even if I refresh cache (am working local dev) – then none of the deisgn changes.
Can you please explain becuase I need to show the client all possible layouts and designs:
- How to do I Import a new ‘demo’ - What does that demo consist of? - How do I enable that demo? - How do I have have mutiliple demos imported – where/how do I select them? - Each time I import a new demo, it says, imported. But then when I go to the home page or even the home button – there’s no change. - I.e. I tried the eCommerce, the photography design, and this one which I really want to show the client/: http://themenectar.com/demo/salient-startup/
But none of them appear on my site?
Am sure you’ve been asked a thousand times – but it’s really confusing me.
I understand some images might no be avaialble due to copyright, but the whole CSS and layout doesn’t change at all depending on which demo, and there is no list of imported demos.
Also – each time I import a demo, I see that the number of pages / posts is increasing – this is not ideal.
I’d like to
a) easily import demo b) see demo – even if has placehodler images c) clear out all other demo material
Do I have to do a wordpress install each time i want to try a new demo?
I’m really confused about this.
The demos look so good – how do we as users replicate these?

All I am trying to do is replicate demos, and know how to access them – it’s very unclear. And the is no Visual Composer packaged with this 8.0 Salient…. Very frustrating guys. Help me out!

1. After you import a demo, you need to assign the relevant menu in Appearance > menus to easily access all the pages on the front-end of your WP install. Then you can also assign a new home page so that your front home page will automatically go to the main home page that is shown in the demo http://themenectar.com/docs/salient/assigning-home-page/
If you want to delete the old pages imported when switching demos, you can easily bulk delete in the pages section of your admin panel. Also, if you’re not similar with the Salient studio yet, I recommend you check out the docs in regards as it’s an easy way to add sections of the various demos in pages directly without importing full demo setups. http://themenectar.com/docs/salient/salient-studio/
2. There should be a Salient VC to install from your appearance > install plugins..If you’re not seeing that I’ll need you to reach out in regards – since you don’t have an active support license, please email me in regards via the contact form on my author page with your admin credentials so I can log in and see your setup. https://themeforest.net/user/themenectar

Bulk deleting pages isn’t as you know easy as there is no categorisation – i.e. I wouldn’t know what pages I should delete. A wordpress problem, not yours.
And yes – I have set up the menus. But they do not reflect the demo.

I do understand Salient. I have been working with it for 4 years.
But the demo importer simply doesn’t replicate the demos on your site – which is one of the features that you say is so great.
How come I cannot replicate (even without copyright images) the structure of:

1a. You don’t need a fresh install, I can try importing the startup demo for you via the login you’ve provided via email – just verify for me that you grant permission for me to as it will override your current theme options so anything not backed up will be removed.
1b. Upon logging into your setup, I can see that the Salient Visual Composer is indeed there and waiting for you to install: https://imgur.com/a/4ZxXm can you kindly do that?
2. “Does this mean that the importing full demo setups does or doesn’t work ” There is no current issue in the theme with importing demos, if you’re unable to import there’s likely a server issue preventing it – I was informing you of the studio as it’s the latest feature to assist in building with Salient and depending on your goals e.g. if you didn’t need all the pages or didn’t want to import the theme styling options in addition to the pages – the studio will likely prove useful

1b. My bad. Because it was saying it needed salient vis composer, I didn’t realise that clicking install plugins would actually show that as pre-packaged. Done now, thanks.

If at all possible, a screen video would be awesome so that I can see how you import both the salient-startup demo, and also the band demo, and how you can switch between the two on my site?
Or at least screenshots or even a step by step a,b,c about how to import demos, and switch between them?

On http://themenectar.com/demo/salient-startup/ which i think I want to use, is it possible to keep all text and layout and templates – just of course remove the images.
But keep all text on the header images etc…. So I can just slot in some new images quickly and alter the text?

Trying to remove jQuery Migrate script with this code:

shows typed text in header search field scrambled from right to left and the text cursor constantly goes to beginning of the line.
Is it possible to remove jQuery Migrate script without producing this error?

When using a light background with the minimalist blog header, the links on “hover” are white, how can I make them dark color? I could not find the CSS rule that selects the hover stage so I can change the color myself. here is the screenshot https://imgur.com/a/XyUNg

I thank you for this fix, however, there is one small issue left fixing with the minimalist blog header. As you can see in the screenshot here, https://imgur.com/a/sJdNE there is too much white space between the banner and the main content. I have put this css
#page-header-wrap { height: 450px!important; } which looked okay for desktop, but kind of messed everything up for smaller screens. What is the proper CSS to make that white space smaller? Preferably about where that red line is.
Also, I have just noticed, even though I am using font “Nunito” in all my typography settings, there is also OpenSans font request to my server, here is a screenshot https://imgur.com/a/zOcyh I do not need this font, how can i remove it completely so it does not send extra requests to the servers.
The only font I need is Nunito and all the Icon fonts.

If we want to use a font instead of an image for the logo… there is no option to define which font type we want to use for the logo. If you are giving us the option to use text for the logo, which is great by the way, I think it would be great to let us define the font we want to use.
How can I do this with custom css? How do I target the logo font?
