Layer Slider is not our own plugin and is a 3rd party plugin actually so we do not control its updates or when the plugin author decides to release an updated version, since this is a free bundled plugin we can not only pack the updated version when we release a new theme version, if you need proper updates of any premium plugin all you need to do is purchase a license of your own and it will be updated properly for you.
