Question:
Can I change the layout of forms somewhere? A form is already styled by you. Can I provide the input fields with edges? If I darken the background of the page, I want to provide the input fields with a frame. Not what it is like now. Hope you can help me out here. Maybe i need to remove some CSS somewhere to go back to basics? I tried using Gravity Forms. But the forms will look the same as Contact Form 7.

Yes, blog post excerpts. A version ago I could edit the excerpt and, for instance, insert a HTML-button. With the new update, which has a lot of excellent stuff in it, it is not possible anymore.
Maybe you have a trick up your sleeve?
It would be a life-saver for me!

Hey! Go into the functions.php file and locate the nectar_excerpt function and change it to this:https://pastebin.com/HBixc5e2 note that it’ll only work when you use the actual excerpt field within each post

I have one other question, sorry. The thing is, my blog-page has a lot of featured images which are shown at a 365 by 320 dimension. Those images are resized through css, except the full-image has been taken as the source. So my question is, is it possible for the featured image to use the medium image size from the media library instead of the full image size?
My page now shows 171 images (I know, waayyy to much 
) at full size. Off course loading this page takes forever and is large in size.

I get a 404 Error on all the links under the “Salient” tab (i.e. admin.php?page=Salient&tab=6) – this is a clean install with the latest version. Any ideas?

Hello ThemeNectar. Nice update! How do I change shapes in the shape divider? When i click the shape I want and then save, it falls back to the old one. It’s not a cache thing because I can see the previous one is selected when I edit it again.
Actually it seems that the shape divider is not working at all, except when I use the templates

After this update my masonry blog has been destroyed. I’ve turned off all plugins and all my custom CSS but it doesn’t fix the problem?

Hey Millionsknives, I’m glad you’ve fixed your initial issue by clearing your browser cache – to add padding to the top of the main blog page in the material skin, you can add this into the custom css box in your Salient options panel for now:

Lazy load option available for Nectar Slider in Salient v8.5 ?

Thanks, so I will switch to another theme (http://kreativa.imaginem.co/) with the integrated Revolution Slider. You should drop the Nectar Slider or add the Revolution Slider in v9 of Salient.

second: If I want to manage my vc elements I get the following error:
backend.min.js:1760 Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read property ‘render’ of undefined at n.openPresetWindow (backend.min.js:1760) at HTMLDivElement.dispatch (load-scripts.php:3) at HTMLDivElement.r.handle (load-scripts.php:3)
in your /wp-content/plugins/js_composer_salient/assets/js/dist/backend.min.js you have commented out row 5081 to 5093. if I remove the comment the VC works fine.

Just checked out the new $alient 8.5 SO $ICK!!! LUV the New demos (wow that push menu style I’ve never Ever seen before in WP, also dig the Team/member click flavor with slide out style that works as well on mobile #allaboutthemobileview) and just so many amazing new big n lil design flavor touche$ DEF at the top of the list for new ideal client and another yet again purchase! Oh and noticed #born-design comment above, yes as I recall, pls have center button option and full width for salient/not VC based button widget plsss and as you know on scroll animations would be my mobile dream ha but hey loads So fast and a thousand other amazing Salient elements so hey) #winWINwithThemeNecta@

Hey Nectar, I have a few issues with the latest update.
1. The alignment on my Blog Page has gone a little wacko. I was using Masonry W/Sidebar with Classic Enhanced. http://rollingspoke.com/blog/
2. I used this code below to resize my posts. But it no longer works.

2. That CSS is not correctly written to target the blog – try this instead:

Thanks ND81! Historically Salient has always saved .5 releases for feature based additions. Since the previous version was only 8.1, I didn’t want to bump all the way to 9 – though as you can see, it’s still a significant version
