Unfortunately the author box element does not have such a feature. If you need to add elements to a block that are not present you will have to create them using customization. Unfortunately there is no simple solution I can provide to group these 2 elements together but you can make a compromise using the tagdiv composer page builder. You can simply add a block underneath the author box showing posts filtered by author ID. I tried everything but Facebook social counter doesn’t seem to work. Thedailyjunction.com
Also using composer I am able to change the elements but not all. Like latest post section just above footer (local news) and I don’t see the selection box working there.

The theme blocks do not have an option to lead to external links, but you can add image box elements to lead to external links though. You cna add an image and a title and set the url you want. Check the tagdiv composer and the image box element options.

J’ai eu quelques problèmes avec mon site chalontv.info qui fonctionne sur wordpress et Newspaper 8 : plus d’accès à la bibliothèque dans un article. La dernière mise à jour de la feuille de style du 17 octobre je crois à régler le problème… Mais aujourd’hui mon site ne fonctionne plus et envoie une erreur 500 et le message suivant : Erreur Interne du Serveur Le serveur a rencontré une erreur interne ou une mauvaise configuration et n’a pas pu terminer votre requête. Contactez l’administrateur du serveur, postmaster@chalontv.info et indiquez-leur le moment où l’erreur est survenue, et tout ce que vous avez fait qui pourrait avoir causé l’erreur. Plus d’informations sur cette erreur peuvent être disponibles dans le journal des erreurs du serveur.
Que faire, est un problème de la feuille de style…ou d’autres plugins ? (web-dorado)

Hello – I am having an issue in Chrome where the mobile menu loads in desktop view, but only momentarily. The blue background loads above the main content, then it slides off to the right. It does this on every page load – any ideas on how I can get that to stop?

That flash could be caused by a plugin conflict. Try deactivating all plugins except theme plugins as a test. Clear any caching installed after this. Then check if the issue is still happening. Also check for any optimization or minification made.

We have a Youtube issue that’s been exposed by a bug in your td-social-counter plugin code. In td_block_social_counter.php on line 140 you have a ternary statement that does not work.
The line in question: ‘url’ => (strpos(‘channel/’, $user_id) >= 0) ? “http://www.youtube.com/$user_id” : “http://www.youtube.com/user/$user_id”,
First, I would assume that you accidentally have your needle & haystack swapped around in the strpos since the current iteration is looking for the person’s user id in the word “channel” which wouldn’t make sense. I imagine you’re meaning to actually search for ‘channel’ in the user id to decide if you should output youtube.com/channel/theuser.
Second, the actual result of the ternary statement is always going to evaluate to true even if the above is fixed. If strpos does not find the needle in the haystack it will return false which the ternary will process as 0 in the comparison so >= 0 results in it evaluating to true. If you explicitly check !== false with the double equals to use strict typing then the conditional should work properly.
The suggested line fix is:
‘url’ => (strpos($user_id, ‘channel/’) !== false) ? “http://www.youtube.com/$user_id” : “http://www.youtube.com/user/$user_id”,

I’ve downloaded the most recent version from here and unzipped the plugin in Newspaper/includes/plugins/td-social-counter.zip and updated my plugin and theme but the problem still appears to be persisting. Additionally, line 140 in the td_social_block_counter.php still appears to be the original swapped needle and haystack and is still evaluating the ternary based on strpos >= 0. I also tried the installing the plugin in the patch_8.0_8.1.1 folder under includes/plugins/td-social-counter/shortcode/td_social_block_counter.php as well as the same path in the /plugins folder at the root of the ZIP and the line problem persists in both of those files as well.
I’ve also gone ahead and double checked that the style.css in the theme folder that I downloaded is the proper version and it shows as Version: 8.1.1 which, judging from the Change Log, is correct. I also scrolled through the Change Logs and noticed no mention of the social plugin being updated recently nor the Youtube line correction so I’m not sure if the fix actually went out or if it just did so undocumented.
If I’m looking in the wrong location for the plugin update with this particular fix could you please point me to the proper path because I can’t seem to find the fix in the most recent update files.

Hello, I am interested in your theme but I have a few questions before purchasing.
Do you allow custom ad settings for individual posts? We show 2 ads per article, one after the first paragraph and one in the middle. But sometimes our articles are short and we end up having 2 ads showing back-to-back. So we would like to be able to change the placement of an ad for each article individually if need be. Does your theme offer something like that? If not, do you have any suggestions how to achieve this with your theme using a plugin or something?
Does your theme work well with Theme My Login and Ultimate Member plugins? because we want to create a full frontend user management without any access to the backend. I just want to make sure there won’t be any conflicts.

Thank you for your interest in our theme. The best way to go about using article ads is to simply place the ad code manually inside the post content to best fit the post layout. You can use for example an article top ad to have an ad at the top of the post and if you want an inline ad placed to fit each post and not have 2 ads stick together, it’s best to do it manually. You can place the ad code directly in the post content to better manage it;s location. As for the plugins you mention, sorry but we have not tested them and I cannot say for sure if they will work properly or not. The only tested and recommended plugins to use with our theme are these ones:
WP Super Cache- caching plugin Contact form 7- used to make contact forms bbPress- forum plugin BuddyPress- social network plugin Font Awesome 4 Menus- icon pack, supported in the theme menus Jetpack- plugin with lots of features *it may slow down your site WooCommerce- eCommerce solution WordPress (Yoast) SEO- SEO plugin Wp User Avatar- Change users avatars WPML – multilingual plugin
For the customization, please note that the theme support does not cover custom modification. We will be able to assist in pointing you in the right direction though. Unfortunately there is no simple way to get the views and social share numbers from the old theme to the new one. We have our own counters custom made so you will not be able to pick up the post views from your previous theme, sorry.

If you only want to make your site in 1 language (Chinese) you do not need a plugin. You can simply use WordPress and the theme translation options to translate the theme to Chinese and you can create your content directly in Chinese. If you want a multi-language site, then you can use WPML as it is tested and compatible with our theme.

Hi, my widgetised sidebar elements have disappeared since updating to the latest version 8.1.1 I tried recreating one, saved it and it displayed, fine. I then logged in and out and it had gone again, with the Widget in the dashboard showing as blank also. Even the default Sidebar is blank.

Please try not to use any special character in the sidebar names. Sidebars are usually stripped of content when this happens. Plugins can also cause this so please disable all plugins except the page builder, clear cache and reset cdn files if you use it. Please also check any custom code you might have added to the theme panel or the theme files. If you use a child theme, please switch to the main theme to make sure it does not affect the proper functionality of the theme. Hello, I want to put theme accent color white because the color of my menu is red. The problem es when I put white the accent color for the categories in the main page when I put the mouse there, the accent color put the category in white and I can’t see the letters of category.
