If you’ve ensured that no third party plugins are causing this for you, please check into your server error logs for any recent recordings as something is hauling the rendering of your page quite early. If you don’t know where the error log is, your hosting company should be able to point you into the direction. Hi ThemeNectar—I noticed whenever I deactivate the woocomerce plugin my pages work fine but the blog posts on the theme doesn’t seem to work whenever woocomerce is active. I’ll have to deactivate woocomerce for now so I’m not losing traffic another day, but is there any update or fix for this?
That sounds like you may be running out of PHP memory, can you please check your error log to confirm this?
Hey ThemeNectar I did as you asked and since I have GoDaddy I contacted them for support and once I generated the log error they mentioned it was due to a file they placed on all their shared hosting websites. They disabled the file and everything works fine now so it wasn’t the woocomerce plugin or the theme causing the issue!

Hi, I’ve two questions, hopefully you can help me with them.
1) I got the following css from you a few days ago.
@media only screen and (min-width: 1000px) { body .masonry-blog-item, body .post-area.masonry.span_9 .masonry-blog-item { width: 49%; } }
When the width value is set to 49%, on the home page (https://energy-democracy.org/) as well as the 2 below-mentioned pages, all the post listings are displayed in one column, flushed to the left. I had to set the width to 48% in order to have the post listings displayed in two columns. Despite having the width set to 48%, the post listings on the pages https://energy-democracy.org/author/holger-schneidewindt/ and https://energy-democracy.org/author/holger-schneidewindt/still displays it in one column. I want them to be displayed in two column and also having the same width, for all the pages. Is it possible?
2) I got the following css from you previously too. I wanted to maximise the viewing space on mobile devices. But it doesn’t seem to work after I’ve updated the theme and changed a new display setting for the post listings. Are you able to advise where went wrong?

for the single image element in salient visual composer is there no way to select the image size? seems like you can only include the originally uploaded version
Hey steveok, the image element is responsive and will grow/shrink to fill the column it’s contained in. It also uses a srcset with the small/medium/large image sizes and will only load the image size that’s needed for the given screen.

Doesnt really work as an optimum solution though, if the image is full width its fine but what if you want to use a smaller version say 200px in width but still want to have larger images available for higher retina devices?
Also if you have to upload the exact max size you want for desktop the current way you have to manually upload all images with the exact sizing instead of just selecting a media size and have it automatically create them for all plus the added benefit of having larger images available in the srcset.
Just so you know the standard visual composer image element does it the way im describing as well.

Hi, quick one and awesome theme. I’ve got a tough one for you so hopefully you can help? I’ve tried to add products to woocommerce but I’ve got some rather impressive videos that I want to display above the woocommerce featured image and information. Is this possible?
My second option (because our products are not sold direct) was to create the product pages using posts rather than woo but I can’t seem to get rid of the usual top of the page title. Managed to get rid of the rest of the information such as author, date etc with Css but I really need to have the product videos at the top of the page to really make an impact while being able to categorize them and organise if you get me for other page links? Heeeeeeelp

It would be easier (less modding) to accomplish it via a post/page instead of a product page if you don’t need the full eCommerce functionality. If you can share one of the post URLs in regards I’d be glad to provide the css to fully remove the header

Yeah the eCommerce functionality isn’t fully required as we don’t sell direct and only use dealers at present for our products. Once I can remove the header then smooth sailing there! Thanks again!

after the update the recent blog modules now have excerpts that are not contained with in any HTML element, therefore it cannot be targeted with CSS to change color or style it in any way. Is this supposed to be like this ?

I found the source of the problem, a plug in! Nonetheless, I would like to update to the latest version of the theme. I followed your instructions: http://themenectar.com/docs/salient/updating-salient/ but when I click on update, nothing happens. When I right click on the link, and open in a new tab, it says the theme is up to date (which is not.) Any suggestions? I would like to stay away from deleting the theme and uploading it again when I’ve done some customization in Salient’s CSS/Script Related sections and other stuff inside those Option Panels that I might not remember this second.

Hi! I have a pre-purchase question. Can I add a top bar which includes a logo, search bar, log in button and a Hamburger NAV Manu? I want to have a regular NAV placed in the regular menu space but its important that I can also add a secondary Hamburger Menu at the top as well. Please let me know, thanks so much!

My website uses the Salient theme and ever since I updated Salient to version 8.5.0 from 8.0.1 I’ve been experiencing issues with editing any of my pages. Specifically, when I try to edit any of my pages on Visual Composer.

When I adjust the color scheme I expect the loading icon to also change accordingly. The blue rotating icon acts as the preloading icon right now. It does not match my look and feel however. How can I change this?
Is it an idea to add functionality to the Salient settings page, so that one can upload it’s own loading icon?

Hi, I’m talking about buttons, not call to action.
In the theme options, I’ve set the button styling to ‘rounded with shadow’.
Yet when I add a button to the page via button element or shortcode in the page builder its show as a square button with no shadow.
So how do I fix it?
