Using two different demos; both screenshots are scrolled up a little past maximum, and responds differently. Trying to migrate site to new creative corporate design
https://imgur.com/a/C8kbMI like how startup responds to scroll by keeping menu visible at top and just creating empty space between that and content. New template just overlaps it with color. Is there any way to retain the old behavior on new configuration?
Hey jtnadams, if you don’t want the off canvas menu color to show on overscroll on iOS you’ll just need to change the Off canvas navigation style from “Slide out from right” to one of the other options

Hey, you just need to update your version of Salient to the current (8.5.2) which can be done from the Envato market plugin http://themenectar.com/docs/salient/updating-salient/
Once you’ve done so the VC update will be available in the plugins section of your admin panel

I have installed Envato Market Plugin, requesting token and all about that.
Now in general themes section I don’t see update avaiable for Salient and in Envato Market plugin section I see an update for Salient but clicking on it nothing happens.

You can still update the theme by downloading it again from ThemeForest and uploading it via FTP or the themes section of your WP admin panel

I have updated the worpdress to the latest version, 4.9, and I have updated salient with vc composer a few hours ago. The problem is that when I edit a block of text from the visual editor, it removes the br’s. Thanks for reviewing

Hi! I’ve just found a new bug in Salient version 8.5 and above. I have one-page design with anchor links. This links doesn’t work in material theme skin. In ascend and original it works perfectly. Could you fix it please?
Hey michalexpromo, are you using the default “Slide out from right” off canvas menu for the links? If so, you’d need to change that style to one of the others as that won’t be able to scroll the page when open. If you’re not using that could you please share your URL so I can see your settings?

You can use the ultimate addons plugin, but you can’t add Salient studio templates into the raw VC plugin since they mostly use elements that are specific to the Salient VC and wouldn’t exist in the core plugin

Hey, it seems to be enqueuing another copy of the maps API even though Salient is already loading it. Since the plugin javascript assets are loading on a page where the plugin is not in use, can you please reach out to them and ask them why that’s the case?
Fantastic work! However I use the left menu option and there is no arrow for secondary menu items. Is there a way to add this?

Question to run by you.
Why have basic things such as being able to center text removed from Visual Composer elements? The only way it seems to do this is to force the entire row to align center. And other basic row options, such as VC’s default padding/border/margins seem to have been gutted out and limited as well with options for customizing.
Just want to try to understand the thought process behind it in case I’m missing some other settings that have been moved around

Which elements are you referring to? Salients version of VC is comprised mostly of custom elements made specifically for Salient that don’t exist in the raw VC. Also, Salient had its own column system with padding/margin controls before VC was integrated for drag and drop building which is what still exists. It’s possible more control will come over the padding of columns in the future though

+1 for js_composer not working properly with WP 4.9—WPBakery released an update today for 4.9 compatibility. ThemeNectar shouldn’t be far behind. I don’t have a license for VC, so I can’t download it and patch myself. Fingers crossed for a quick update from ThemeNectar.
