When I try to update theme at my wp site I am redirected to my account on envato market (Kwaska) but there is no newspaper theme. Theme was bought by other person and instaled on my wp site.
Any idea how can I update it in the future?

Visual composer 5.4.4 was tested and it works as expected. We cannot detect any such issue on our end. Please disable all plugins except the page builder, clear cache and reset cdn files if you use it. Please also check any custom code you might have added to the theme panel or the theme files. If you use a child theme, please switch to the main theme to make sure it does not affect the proper functionality of the theme.

Is there a way to disable ads on certain posts? I currently have adsense code set to be automatically placed in all posts, but on some posts i don’t want any ads to show up. Is there some way to keep ads from showing up on certain posts?

Sorry but the theme does not have options to disable ads on particular post or pages. You will have to use an ad plugin that can provide such functionality.

Hi i bought NEwspaper already long time ago and it always worked perfect for me. Now wth version 8 and the implementation ov the TagDiv Composer, both doesnt work anymor. Not the WP Bakery and also not the TagDiv composer. They dont save any changes to the site… any idea how to fix it?

You can update directly from your current version. The only thing to keep in mind in the new version is the tagdiv composer. Please do not use it together with visual composer. The plugin activates automatically upon theme activation so you will be presented with a decision. If you want to stay with visual composer or move over to tagdiv composer. Feeds are not handled by our theme. They are handled by wordpress and plugins. Please read this guide: https://codex.wordpress.org/WordPress_Feeds The theme has no extra implementation for feeds.

Hi been using your old newspaper 7.8 and been struggling with bad scores on all web test, Google Pagespeed is all the way down on 8 and so on. Is the newest version 8, coded better and faster. Because beside struggling with bad scores then our site takes around 4-8 seconds to load sometimes. i am not saying its the theme itself also know plugins and so on. but yeah want to know if the newest version had speed and scores in mind when made

First of all, I will thank you for your appreciations for our theme! You can try using the latest theme version without any problem because it must be as fast as ever. Notice that we continually develop the theme and if you want to bring best theme results, you should have the latest version of it installed on your server. The related articles will grab posts that share the same category, no matter what other categories the specific post has. If a post has multiple categories, it will show up if one of these categories is also added to the current post. It is best not to have a common category for all posts.

Hello, Is there any method that I can choose a page instead of a post while building a layout. It’s easy to build components with posts but I cannot find a way to get content from a page. But posts are more dynamic and and it keep changing more regularly.
So, I would like to design a static page and get content from that page to my layout. How can I do that?

Hello Zaheen,
Unfortunately posts cannot accommodate the page content. The page builder will not work with posts. Posts are created using the post styles and the tiny mce editor while pages are built with the tagdiv composer in our theme. You cannot create posts with the page builder, sorry.

We have been waiting for a long time to see the RTL support in your theme, but I think you guys don’t care about the huge number of people who loved this theme and want to use it but they can’t because it doesn’t support RTL direction. Even if we find a developer to make it rtl, we don’t get 100% of the theme’s features because only you can make it the right way. We agree that Newspaper is the best WordPress theme and I think you need to reconsider your decision. Thanks

Unfortunately the decision was take for the moment to not implement RTL. For the moment though. Due to how the theme was built there is no viable solution for RTL at this point except creating 2 separate versions of the theme and updating them both making the implementation twice each time. It is not a viable solution so until a more elegant solution is found, we have stopped the RTL implementation. Sorry for the inconvenience and thank you for your understanding.

Sorry but our theme does not have a social login functionality. Our login widget is customized but it does not change the default functionality of WordPress. It only looks different, but the functionality is intact.

In most cases the illegal string error was fixed by reinstalling the theme so please try to reinstall your theme and try a different php version from your host. If you still encounter issues, please contact us via email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide a link to your site and wp-admin so we can investigate. Make sure you back-up first.

No, you will not lose your content when reinstalling the theme. The content is kept in the database while the theme update only replaces the theme files. It is a good idea to always keep back-ups of your install.
