Please try running your mp4 file through an online converter such as this. Sometimes the codec used when exporting from programs can cause this issue

Hi, I’ve purchased this item, but I had no idea about how to make an website. I tied and I couldn’t do it. So I requested a refund. I didn’t get any message for weeks and when I got an email saying my refund was approved, it was the full amount I paid for it. It’s so hard to find an email or anything to contact here. I can’t verify my purchase. I bought Salient originally with an account I don’t have access to anymore. The videos used to play fine. Not sure why they aren’t working anymore. Is there any other way this can be sorted out?

I try to place a custom form in the design. If I want to create a template page in Wordpress, I will not succeed. This does not appear in the dropdown menu
Can you tell me why this is not possible? Have you blocked this?
If i place the .php file into the theme map. The page does not want to appear in the dropdown 
Do you have other options? We want to install a custom made form and want to move it from an old website into the new one. First we need to do is create a new template page in Wordpress.

There’s nothing blocking page templates in Salient, we actually offer a few as well. Have you checked out some within Salient to ensure you’re naming your own one correctly by placing this at the top?

I have Salient 8.5.1 running and Visual Composer 5.2.2 in Wordpress 4.9 and I have a very frustrating bug everytime I edit, drag & drop or click save on a page element i’m scrolled down to the very bottom of the page – it is starting to drive me nuts

You need to be using the current version of the theme (8.5.3) and the Salient VC (5.2.4) in order to ensure WP 4.9 compatibility

Hey haoe, the only way links could be parsed in a Google map infobox would be to use the contact page template. The page template is populated directly from the theme options panel > Contact tab. The Visual Composer Google map element won’t allow for this currently.

Pre-sale question: hello, i would buy your theme, i’ve tried it in a website of a friend, and it seems really customizable. But i’ve not found the way to do a page where to show some categories (or all categories).
So, my question is, is there a way to create a page where i can see all (or some of these) my categories in a nice format? (for example in blog post format, with image and little text-description).
If yes, could you tell me how to test this?
My need is to have some pages, each of these showing only some categories.

There’s currently no way to auto populate a list of blog categories in such a format, but you could easily create nice links to each category archive using other elements such as the fancy box etc

Hey, you can control the archive layouts for the blog via the theme options panel – the styles can be set as any of the blog styles shown in the various demos

Hey MarkusB, Are you using the latest version of the Salient VC (5.2.4)? If so, you should be able to adjust the mobile sizing for 1/6th cols in the responsive options tab when editing the columns
On my contact page, my website is not allowing me to keep the white text when I put in numbers. I’m trying to put in my phone number and no matter what I do the numbers are showing up as black. You can only see this on the mobile side. The desktop version looks the way it is suppose to look.
I added the css code that you gave me to fix the issue

And the number is still showing up as black on the mobile side.

Also, I’m not sure how to scale the background image the same as the demo either. Mine appears to be much larger and consequently, the bottom doesn’t blend with the black background well. Can’t figure out why these settings didn’t come with the demo install.

Hi, suddenly my Salient options Panel stopped working/is empty! None of the menu links is working? Im on WP 4.9 and Salient 8.5.3. any known issues with this?
Sorry for the noise. This is no Salient problem as it seems to be related to: https://core.trac.wordpress.org/ticket/42574 -after changing user language to “English” the options panel is working again.

Hi, Everytime I make any changes using the visual composer the page always jumps down to the bottom of the screen and i have to scroll up everytime. I only have other plugins installed which i deactivated and it still does that. It seems to me that as soon as you activate background video for any page in salient this “bug” occurs. Whether you add or change something in visual composer layout, it keep jumping to bottom of screen to scroll up again. Any thoughts?
