I am simply using the Media Library to images either into galleries or sliders, however not meta data is being stored. I use Lightroom to export the web ready images and during that process all meta data is there but when imported into WordPress there is nothing.

Any thoughts or suggestions on why this is happening and how to fix it?

Hey Alan,

When WP resizes images to be cut to specific sizes, it most likely removes that data. Only the original size uploaded would keep that data. It looks like there may be an easy fix though, try adding this line into a child theme functions.php:

add_filter (‘image_strip_meta’, false);

Hey Pixsite, this quantum specific issue can be resolved in the meantime before the next update with this line of css (add it into the custom css box in your Salient options panel)

A broken grid can be created with the image element in Salient – there’s a studio template showing an example of this called “Clever Overlapping Quote”

Can I only use the image element for the broken grid format? Also, am I able to customize the css to provide this same effect to various elements in addition to the image element.

Pulling columns to overlap horizontally outside of the image element would require custom css, however vertical overlaps are possible via row translates or column negative margins. There’s many studio templates which demonstrate this as well

1. You don’t need to modify the search.php for that – those are being populated from the page widget area which you can edit in your admin panel > appearance > widgets

It would require custom css to alter the layout and possibly modding to the shortcode-processing.php file located in the nectar/tinymce directory if you need text/links beyond what’s possible by default

Hey, in the project configuration metabox you must enable the option for “Custom Content Grid Item” for the project you wish to display custom information. You can then use the smaller editor that appears to add custom text/shortcodes etc. as shown in the Agency demo
