You can only have different expiration dates if you activate paid listings. Otherwise all listings will have the same expiration date which you can set in wp-admin > Listings> Settings > Listing submission

Advertising – I think someone could have this covered well with My Listing with an advertising add-on that easily exists in the plugin market today

Filter and search – FACET is great with listify but I would love for My Listing to come out with ultimate flexibility where and extend what you have on offer. Baicually to be able to filter and sort by any fields, filter and conditional logic, filter by star reviews, most popular, nearest, featured etc. I can add more details if you wish

Listing rankings – businesses are willing to pay to promote their listings – so having a pay for position ranking X 1 to 10 like a auction function could be great and unique I can add more details if you wish

Design and data – with JMFE you can now add conditional fields on input allowing for different categories and types. I have been working with Myles on this idea as have his community. Other themes have more flexible layouts, great looking listing owner dashboards and a more diverse range of results pages and icons/images on maps. However the ability to display custom data still relies on php. So to have different listing templates for different categories would be amazing allowing for different layouts and selected JMFE fields.

Social – the ability to add a listing owners social wall to a listing is important. Yes you have done a good job with reviews but I would like to see:

Different review types for different job categories A listing owner can activate a social wall for sharing comments, images, files, videos, sound files etc – much like a facebook wall. Attachments and ability to block private messages. I would love to see private messages allow attachments of any type and an ability to friend and block users. Potentially to turn private messages into a chat function or build a user to user chat function would be amazing.

Selling – listing owners what to selling products, they want to sell and manage bookings, availability, stock and enquiries. They want to create events and attach these where they can selling tickets or send and receive invites.

However the process for adding and manage products is bad and ugly from the back end with limited woo commerce plugin functions that are not being developed much any more. The process to manage products/bookings attached to a listing is also listing is also really too simple and it not the way most listing owners would like it according to our research. I can add more details if you wish.

Focusing on these areas will really add value commercially to My Listing and therefore people will be a) repeat customers or b) can spend more on addons and benefiting from this.

Listing creation the ability to add different listing categories with different fields – (job manager field editor does this already) its great. The ability to show / hide fields according to type or category. The ability to have different layouts and field positions depending on the type or category – maybe with visual composer and conditional logic. Different review categories depending on the listing category.

For a listing to have a calendar where the owner can manage it and great X slots per day – very important for us.

Please try our listing type creator first, you’ll realize we have much more freedom, unlimited custom fields, custom search forms, field visibility and much more without the need of plugins for that. Only thing missing is conditional fields and we’ll add it soon. You don’t need field editor plugin

There are promoted listings, but we will expand functionality even more soon

yes thanks we will try it. however have over 120 fields across 5 listing categories, so job manager field editor would be interested but I agree I may not need it once you have conditional fields.thanks will let you know

Each listing type has its own unique fields, unique search form, unique card design, unique layout, unique pricing packages etc. You wont be able to do this in any other theme even using paid plugins

You can have different review categories unique to each listing type too

Hi We tried your theme, it is fantastic. However at this stage it is too much work to change over what we are doing. But there are clear benefits if you add in the conditional logic AND REALLY IMPORTANT is native product adding support and native real booking support and calendar management from the front end as we described with the ability to create commissions, one off and subscriptions payments.

If you do this your theme will be unique and will propel your theme to a new innovative and highly commercial area.

Thanks for your feedback. Conditional fields aswell as woocommerce bookings are something we plan short-term.

However creating a built-in vendor functionality it’s something that we plan to do long-term but it’s quite a big task which may take months to do.

That’s why we choose to support known plugins instead. WC vendors back-end submission is definitely a downside so we’re looking to make a solution for that. We’re also looking at other alternatives in this aspect

Thanks, it is worth having a serious conversation about me part funding this activity with you because we really don’t want to invest in any vendor plugins they are all pretty rubbish. Or is it a capacity and resources issue on your side?

We need booking and calendar support with multiple slots per day, and selling products with % commissions and auto payments. With the ability to promote booking services and products in auction credits type format. ie highest bidder and most popular are top. Many thanks, Neil

Could you share what theme you were using before? Did it have a built-in vendor functionality?

We are using listify – we dont have products or services we just have different listing categories, fields and data – all conditional logic. We give the impression to add services and products. We also also the listing owner to add their date availability using a date picker from job manager field editor. The real bookings, and products is an essential part of our phase 2 from March. So we are very serious to help you with the process, money and time invested. I am not interested in staying with Listify more than 3 months.
