Hi, I use TechDesk V1.01 a long time. After WP 5.5 I have now some not working parts. Is it possible to jump to V2.0? Or do you think this will give bigger problems? I like the theme – it is easy to use https://virus-hilfe.info/

Oh, I used for the answer the wrong reply field. I tested now the new TechDeskV2.0. 1. I have to install “5” new plugins for V2 – why so mutch – and do I need all these plugins? 2. After I replaced some wigdgets, the site shows correct my articels 3. A lot of colors, fonts or other points inside the theme options are not overtaken from the old TD V1.01. But I do this from hand and it works 4. Bugs: I can’t change the header bg color – nothing happens when I change the color. The navi menu separator are always shown – selctor is on off. So the navigation is to wide. Maybe I must use more CSS for this problem – and use the child theme. But this is my first CT, so I have to look how to implement this.

Hello. All our themes don’t have features for uploading documents. You need searching for some plugins.

it is possible to have a version to test on my local server before I decide to buy it. We are doing an analysis with different themes in my company. I’m afraid to buy it this one and it doesn’t work the way I hope it works.

How can I select an article to be the Featured Article on the sticky widget? Not seeing any options in the article itself to do that.

Sticky widget displays only sticky posts automatically. You need to create your article as sticky (Go to Articles and click “Quick Edit->Make this post sticky”).

Hi, thank you for the nice Theme. I have problems with the CT: Categories With Sub-Categories Widget. I like to use the option: Exclude categories: But when I Enter the categorie name, nothing happens. How do I have to enter it? And how for more than one categorie?

You should enter not name of categories, you should enter ID for categories (go to “Articles->Categories” and when you hover mouse cursor on category you can see tag_ID parameter in status bar of your browser. these links will help you: https://www.wpwhitesecurity.com/wordpress-tutorial/find-wordpress-category-id/ and https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eEYiGwrVaBA ).

And yes, you can use more than one category, you should use tag IDs comma separated.

Hello – I have purchased this theme and it is so far working very well. My questions is: On the demo home page, is this a special page (like ‘Your latest posts’) created dynamically? Or is it a static page?

If it is a static page, how do you size the size the widgets so they are two-columns (plus sidebar as 3rd column) and always all the widgets are equal height? We like this look very much but can’t seem to replicate it and it is not in the demo data included in the download. Thank you.

In the demo I use “Static page” with widgets. I prepared widgets and all content from the demo for you. An archive file also contains some instructions how to setup static page with widgets like in the demo.

Hi. Go to WP admin panel “Appearance -> TechDesk Options -> Social Icons -> Top Information Text”. After all changes you should click “Save all changes” button.
