I’m still running Salient v8.1.0 on my website.. How can I update this version to v8.5.3, because I have no update in the WordPress Updates tab

Hi. I have a problem where I have fancy boxes set to equal height and the hover over image does not fill the full height of the column. The columns are in an inner row. Can you help?

The only way to set fancy boxes to equal height would be to specify the same minimum height for each one – is that what you’ve done? If so, kindly share your URL in regards so I can take a look

Hi! and thanks!!!! the url is tocomusica.es, I don’t know if you can see the settings or need something else. My question is that when you see the home page, the header is transparent (OK) and when I scroll on the page I would like to change (the header) to white with the letters (logo and menu) black but I do not know how to configure this change. Thank you.
Hey! In the Salient options panel > header navigation > logo & general styling tab change your “Header BG Opacity” to 100, and then in the Salient options panel > header navigation > transparency tab, active the option for “Use Transparent Header When Applicable”. Then edit your page and you’ll see an option at the very bottom called “Force Transparency On Navigation” – enable that

Is it possible to change the color of individual menu animated underlines?
I have 4 menu items here: https://blufusion.net/
And I’d like each item to have a different colored underline, so ‘about’ might have a red underline, ‘process’ might a have a green one, etc.
Can this be done?

add this into the custom css box in your Salient options panel:
body #header-outer[data-lhe="animated_underline"].transparent header#top nav > ul > li:nth-child(2) > a:after,
body #header-outer.transparent header#top nav>ul>li[class*="button_bordered"]:nth-child(2)>a:before {
border-color: #888!important;
}
you’ll need to copy/paste that for each one and alter the nth-child number

But it’s only made the changed on the transparent header. Can the changed be applied to the sticky white header too?

A follow up on this – though I realize it’s largely out of your hands here – but Firefox isn’t handling Visual Composer in the dashboard very well it seems. Even on the latest version, deleting a row / item, saving items (etc.) all behave very differently than other browsers (Chrome etc.) – mostly not being responsive. Hopefully this is something that can get back to their development team.

through my tests with FF Quantum 57.0.4 on windows, I haven’t been able to replicate this when using the Salient VC 5.2.4 – can you let me know what OS you’re using and if you’re on the same version?

Is there an easy way to hide the top navigation until the user scrolls? I would use the “Hide until Needed” function…but I don;t like how you have to scroll back up for the menu to appear. my site is www.williamrobertlouis.com. Since the first part of my site contains my logo…I would like to disable the logo/header navigation until the user begins to scroll down the page.

Hey, if you have not set a font for the page header subtitle in the Salient options panel > typography tab, can you ensure that you’ve checked the option for “Load Ext. Characters in Default Font” in that tab as well?

Hi, when I set up the accent colors in the backend and then go to select a color when building a page, sometimes the color palate shows me the color scheme I’ve set up, but a lot of the time it doesn’t. Is it supposed to? Am I doing something wrong?

Hey, you can make a nectar button lead to a image or video lightbox by adding the right css classes to it, however it can’t trigger a full gallery of images
Salient Visual Composer using issue… If I create/delete/change anything in edit screen, scroll is move down everytimes…

this was fixed shortly after the release of WP 4.9 – please see the changelog in regards http://themenectar.com/changelogs/salient.html
You need to be using the current version of the theme (8.5.3) and the Salient VC (5.2.4) in order to ensure WP 4.9 compatibility
I’m dropping this update just to say you guys have done a really great job with this theme. I have used it for YEARS (literally) and I still love it. About 6 months ago, I purchased the Avada theme because I wanted I wanted to mix things up a bit. Well, I attempted to switch 2-3 times and I found their setup to be overly-complicated to do, what should be, simple things.
My support, for Salient, expired a while ago but I didn’t even know because they were still helping me. For that reason alone, I am renewing my license to show my support.
Just wanted to drop this here for the world to see. I wasn’t paid to write this or anything. I just really appreciate the effort and thought that went into the development of this theme. Keep it going guys.

You need to set your theme skin to the material option in the Salient options panel > general settings tab, and also be using the default slide out from right off canvas nav option
With the Salient Control Panel >> Header Navigation >> Transparency
There’s an option to select the Starting Header Logo and Text Color.
Is it possibly to manually choose wich Starting Header Logo (Light versus Dark) and Text Color (Light versus Dark) are used in a page? Using Custom CSS at the page level?
Having trouble getting the Dark Logo to be used without the Nectar slider.

We have a problem with tabs in portfolio section. Example: https://www.zannata.be/portfolio/18_z29e-steps/ There is a tab generated f022—(custom) that we didn’t activate. When we deactivate salient visual composer the tab is gone but the hotspot image does not work anymore.. Is there a conflict somewhere or does the plugin need updating?

No. We are looking after a website that uses it, and just need to know the location of the settings please. At some stage it will require an update, at which point we will likely purchase a new license for it so WE can update it. But we have taken over the site.
