Hey tamim606, you have full control over the typography in Salient via the Salient options panel > typography tab. For this setting see the field “Navigation Font” in that tab

There is padding set on the container-wrap div for the fullscreen header style – it can be removed with the following CSS

no, there must be something wrong! Every time I publish a new blog post, it will take about 10-20 minutes for an ad to appear. And if an ad appears immediately, it’s the same ad (alibaba). This was never a problem before this update of Salient.

category archive pages are created automatically in WordPress and by default Salient doesn’t modify the query. It’s impossible to say what’s occurring in your setup without seeing it. i.e. what are permalink settings, what plugins do you have active, is specific to a single category name etc. Please open a ticket in regards with your admin credentials so we assist you https://themenectar.ticksy.com

Sorry to have vented on you, but it was extremely frustrating to stumble on the issue after investing a night in creating my blog posts.

I trickled down the issue in the naming structure – turns out the word(ing) “portfolio” can’t be used as a category or else it gives that error. I also noticed that unless I make the bottom most category the primary one, the link won’t work.

Once I applied the above fixes, the URLs went thru.

Hey, no worries. The portfolio slug conflict would occur because Salient has a post type already named portfolio, so depending on how you’re naming your permalinks it could have indeed caused an issue.

This happens whenever a hotspot is added to an image. Try to add and then remove it, update the post and then check – you’ll notice the hotspot would not disappear.

Hey, thanks for the clarification – I can only see this occurring when attempting to delete the hotspot when there’s only one hotspot i.e. trying to remove it to leave no hotspots at all. Are you unable to delete any that you add when you have multiple hotspots?

1. Salient doesn’t have a dedicated ad element in the page builder, but you could add in your desired ad code anywhere you desire. Also, we just recently added the ability to define sticky sidebars in the 8.5 updates, which compliment ad setups nicely – you can see this in action in the new blog based demos

2. Gradient colors are defined by you in the theme options panel.

Note that in order to have the transparent header still trigger, you’ll still need to be setting a BG image or color for your post headers

Any chance for you to add a simple dropdown option to the Blog Header Type settings in the future? Also, how I’d be able to target only certain categories?

I’ve noted the request for the wishlist. Unfortunately WordPress doesn’t add any css classes relating to the current category assigned to the post on a single page so there’s no way to quickly modify the above snippet to target only specific categories. However, instead of adding the provided snippet into the Salient options panel, which would apply globally, you could paste it into the Salient Visual Composer CSS Box on a per post basis

The single image element stretches to fill the column it’s contained in, if you’re trying to place a non responsive image with static px based dimensions, it would require using the default add media button in a text block if you didn’t want to use css

You could set the mobile logo height to a smaller value than it’s currently at, however it also appears that you have extra space built directly into your logo http://velerosbcn.wearecoli.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/12/Veleros-last-minute_black.png I would reccomend resaving the image without that cushion on the top/bottom

2. You would need to disable the fullscreen page row functionality on mobile via the option “Disable On Mobile” to achieve this

3. Can you verify that you’ve entered the needed API key for that element in the Salient options panel > general settings > css/script related tab?

Or I will have to create a brand new site and then point it every time a user visits from mobile? 2. On the homepage I want to highlight the white text (paragraph) so it’s more legible. Can I add a box shadow only on mobile? 3. How can I disable the hotspots on mobile? They are not displaying well. Can I replace them with just bullets under the image? (only on mobile)

Hey Sergi, in general VC offers you a way to hide columns based on the viewport in the responsive settings tab when editing a column. So you could potentially create multiple versions of your columns and set them to display on your desired device

The elements are still loaded in on page load the same as when there are no animations set. The only difference is the css values are changed when the elements are scrolled into view
