1. When using the custom content grid item, this changes how the coloring works. It gets set as a solid color, but will sit on a different layer behind the BG image in this case. However, if you didn’t supply an image you would see the color. To make it like a non custom grid item, add this css:

body .portfolio-items .col:not([data-default-color="true"]) .work-item[data-custom-content='on'] .work-info-bg {
    opacity: 0.45!important;
    z-index: 10;
}
body .portfolio-items .col:not([data-default-color="true"]):hover .work-item[data-custom-content='on'] .work-info-bg {

2. When adding a custom ext URL to a project, it sets a link on the whole project item – which is what you end up hovering on and therefore can’t also hover on the custom button you’ve added in the grid item which is behind it. Why not add that URL to the button itself and not set it as an external URL?

Unfortunately we don’t have an online test demo for you to create sample pages in the backend with. As far as converting the setup to use custom fields instead of VC, wouldn’t work out of the box as VC does processing for the VC specific elements and if that logic doesn’t run, the element won’t get parsed correctly

The team member elements sets the image supplied as a BG image, so getting a custom aspect ratio would require css such as:

body .team-member[data-style="meta_overlaid_alt"] .team-member-image {
    padding-bottom: 10%;
    box-sizing: content-box;
}

Play with the 10% value to adjust the height

Thanks for the code. Unfortunately it pixelates the image even tho I have uploaded a 2880px. Maybe you guys could look at including the rollover feature for a single portfolio item and, if desired, a single blog item. That way users can construct a more exacting home page.

Yes. In classic design the audio player is there (without the image). In the Material Design there is an image, but no audio player. Ideally I would like both. The image with the audio player underneath.

I’m seeing that the front page imported correctly, but can’t check the other pages since the menu isn’t assigned yet – have you tried to set it the Appearence > menus section of your admin panel yet? In regards to the stock images – unfortunately demos created longer than a year ago used premium stock photos which couldn’t be included (so they’re swapped for placeholders). More modern demos use free to use images and can be readily provided: http://themenectar.com/docs/salient/importing-demo-content/

It would require custom css to swap the search and cart icons like this:

However, it wouldn’t be possible to easily change the menu icon, as each line in it is a separate css entity – it’s not all one icon like the others, since it gets animated.

Unfortunately not at this time for videos, however if you use the custom thumbnail upload field instead of the featured image for your project, you could use an animated gif. You’d just lose the automatic image sizing that the featured image provides.

I can see a javascript error occuring when loading the slider that seems specific to your setup – have you already verified that it’s not a conflict occuring from a third party plugin by temporarily disabling others to rule that out?
