Pre-purchase question please? Having previously used Salient we are planning to use again in a new project, but during testing on 8.5.3 (plain vanilla install), we are experiencing an odd white line on the right margin in rows set to ‘Full Width Container’. We’re using ‘Boxed Layout’, Extended Responsive Design, Max-width 1424. Any ideas how to solve please? Thanks in advance.
To add to this, we can temporarily remove said white line by altering the #boxed .container width but as this dynamically changes when the browser window is scaled it doesn’t fix the issue

Hey luismac, as shown on all of the demos – the self hosted video row backgrounds are swapped for a static images on mobile devices. This is because up until iOS10, video BGs were intentionally disabled by mobile browsers to prevent unauthorized data usage. Because an autoplaying video BG still won’t work on any phones running an earlier version of iOS – we’ve been waiting to implement a solution that will work consistently across phones, old and new.

Hi! I am just inputting google tag manager code, and there is a snippet that can go in the google analytics field, but there is also code that has to go after the <head> tag, which means I need to edit header.php. I am working in a child theme so if I understand correctly I have to copy all of header.php into the child theme and then add the code in. But two questions:
1) I’m running the beta – can I still set up a child theme? I don’t think it was actually in the zip file you sent me. What happens when the full release happens?
2) What happens if parent header.php changes after an update? Will the child header.php overwrite the parent one completely (which means I have to re-copy the new header.php into the child theme after every update) or will it not overwrite anything added to the parent header.php that isn’t already in the child one?

In regards to the new issue you’re facing – the sidebar area removes the defualt list style. If you’re looking for bullet points – add this css

Sorry for double post! I think the CSS property is actually list-style-type But it doesn’t quite work – the bullet isn’t the problem, the line breaks are. the text breaks after the first two words, which is very odd.

Hello there, I am having an issue with the parallax fancy boxes on Chrome. The images seem to have a mind of their own when it comes to size.

The max height i’m seeing set on those are less than what would work on that style with the amount of padding applied – to fix it by reducing the padding, please add this into the custom css box in your Salient options panel:

Guys, is it a bug or I am doing something wrong? The testimonial slider doesn’t have the navigation blocks below, and the ‘next’ ‘previous’ testimonials is invisible.

In the settings for that element you need to use one of the color options that have “Color + dark text” instead of the currently selected “color + light text” that you have enabled (since you’re on a white BG they’re invisible). Also, give that row holding the testimonial slider some padding padding to revel the pagination lines which are being hidden by the parallax row you have after that row.

Hi, I’m trying to setup my site like this: http://themenectar.com/demo/salient-one-page/ I’m having trouble with the nav – I can get the initial transparency by checking: Force Transparency On Navigation on the actual page. but I can’t find out how to make it transparent on certain sections like you have in the demo. Is it a row attribute? How do I define which sections have a solid white background for the nav and which ones are transparent?
Is there a template for that one pager? I can’t see how to make the text stay central and fade out on the hero section.

No worries tricks28, in order to have the text fade out you must be using the page header metabox on your page http://themenectar.com/docs/salient/page-metaboxes/#pageheader or the Nectar Slider set to parallax http://themenectar.com/docs/salient/sliders/ Right now it sems you’re just using a row within the page builder with the BG set to parallax

I know this has been asked quite a few times before … but I couldn’t see a definitive answer.
I want to use the ‘Enable Fancy Checkbox/Radio Styling’ option on forms as it displays a radio box on the payment gateway when you only have ONE payment option which is nice. At first the ‘terms & conditions’ checkbox disappeared but the latest version of your theme has fixed that.
However, any other plugins I use, one being Mailchimp For WooCommerce which gives a checkbox to signup for the newsletter before the proceed to payment button … the checkbox disappears. Is there any way to force your Fancy styling to not apply to a specific plugin’s checkbox? Or someway to force it to appear …

Ok, I followed the steps from 1 to 6 to use the Envato plugin but I think it does not work. After activating the token I can see the theme and says “Update Available – View version 8.5.3 details” but when I click this orange bar nothing happens

Hi, I am having an issue with hiding the secondary header on scrolling (using CSS) and was hoping that you could help. Here is the CSS I am using:

On posts where page header images have been enabled, this works just fine. The secondary header disappears and the main header moves to the top of the page. Here is an example: http://cplong.org/2018/01/open-letter-to-the-college-of-arts-letters/
On a post that does not have a page header image, I am able to hide the secondary header on page scroll, but am having trouble getting the main header to move up to the top of the page. Here is an example: http://cplong.org/2007/06/jocasta_and_the_lieutenant_gen/.
It looks like the scrolled down class is not called unless there is a page header image. Do you have any suggestions for getting this to work?
