Hello, I don’t understand why i can’t read the videos on my site anymore, when before everything worked well… maybe from the wordpress maj or theme there was a problem… – the theme (with child theme), the worpdress version and the extensions are all up to date (last version)
For example, if you go to this page: http://algorythme.fr/portfolio/fictions/ – we don’t see the video anymore? while it is on the server http://algorythme.fr/wp-content/uploads/2017/02/Algo_Video_Demo_Fictions.mp4
I don’t understand where it comes from because everything worked well before.

how to limit the display of post titles on the page, I want each title on the news to be 6 words. without prejudice to the word in the original title

There’s a couple plugins out there to do this, but outside of that it would require custom development as Salient is just using the default WP function to grab the titles inside of the files within includes/post-templates.

For those who try to add the word menu next to the hamburger icon, make sure your theme skin is set to “Ascend”, Off Canvas Menu Style: any style besides “Slide Out From Right Hover Triggered”. Add these codes into your custom CSS:

Having issues adding more images to gallery. I can select them, but they don’t appear in the VC area, nor does it do anything to move out of the “add images” module. Any ideas on how to add more?
I’m attempting to add multiple images to a grid gallery on a page. Everything is good except it won’t load the “images” i’ve selected into the visual composer element. It just spins and does nothing. I’ve tried for the past 5 hours trying to trouble shoot this. Going to the host/server and all. Is there something that is causing this that you’ve had experience with in the past?
I’ve tried resizing images and all!
I’m frustrated and tired of trying to get this to work. ANY help would be GREATLY appreciated! Greatly.

It turns out it was the hosting platform. I’m using a new hosting provider for this particular project and they had some ridiculous setting that wouldn’t allow something to work right. Good news is, it’s working. I tested it on my staging site that was on a different host and it worked just fine. I had to get ahold of about 3 different “support” members of their team but finally figured it out.

Hey Nicko_217, as of now this would require the use of a plugin to dynamically switch widgets based on certain conditions if you’re trying to alter the widgets on the blog archive pages vs the single post pages
Whats the process on keeping images from stretching when using mason grid?
I think it corrected itself after I regenerated thumbs.

Video lightbox no longer appears to work with Youtube though its fine with Vimeo. Tried multiple videos and its the same result. The pop-up just opens to the black screen then nothing

Just in case this doesn’t work some a few people, and in fairness 50% 0f URLs didnt work for me… I have found that You tube often adds additional characters to the end of the URL. Paste your url into a browser and see if it works, remove a character from the end of the URL and see if it still works. If it does keep then doing this until it stops working. The last working version is the ONLY version that will work in the Salient Video lightbox.

Unfortunately, every time I paste the MailChimp code and update the site something happens than prevents the site from loading.

The first javascript error i’m seeing appear in the browser console is coming from a plugin called “booked”. Can you temporarily disable that to verify that’s not causing the issue?

I experienced a problem with page builder. After creating a Row in Row its not showing, also after apply a template such as Colors in Project template category, its showing the rows but not the content.
I have Salient VC newest version, also Salient template newest version, I tried reinstall via FTP but problem persist. Also I tried deactivating plugins but not seems to work to resolve this issue.
Please help me with this.

There’s no dynamic sorting through filters like the portfolio post type offers – you’d need to use a category selection widget or create a navigation that lists the categories you’d like to offer on that page
