Hey guys,
I hope you can help. I’ve setup anchor links as i’ve done a thousand times. Confirmed the menu is pointing to the www.site.com/#anchor.
But when selected the link doesn’t seem to be locating the anchor.

In addition my logo no longer seems to link home…?
Seems to be an issue with the Off Canvas Menu “Slide Out From Right”.
If I change to “Slide Out From Right Hover Triggered” the Anchor links work… bug?

The “Slide out from right” OCN style in the “material” theme skin can not scroll to anchor links by design – you would need to either change the theme skin in the Salient options panel > general settings to one of the other options, or change the OCN style in the Salient options panel > header navigation > off canvas navigation tab

So i’ve switched to “Slide Out From Right Hover Triggered” but all the links are underlined until I select one.
How can I have it so that the line only displays on hover or selection?

Salient’s GT Metrix report is misleading. That Metrix report is on their slider page, their Main demo pagespeed shows 12% less, and their yslow is 11% less.
Hey Bertieinthesky, the various demos fluctuate with top end scores as some demos do not have have full minifcation turned on and contain images that are not fully compressed as much as they could be.

This is in regards to the top of the website jumping down and snapping back up on load. This happens each time the page loads.

Hey Popsicle, I’m seeing that your setup is still loading the old version of the init.js file, you probably just need to clear the cache from your caching plugins to let the new version show which will fix the issue

Great theme! We’re using it on customer site’s (who have the licence, not purchased by us).
Just recently we realized problems with Open Sans and Umlauts (ä/ö/ü). After some search I figured out the fonts in /css/fonts/ are missing these characters. Replaced and everything works, just wanted to let you know and maybe include in future releases

If I’d like to have a full width row with 2 columns where there’s an image at the top of each then text under..
I’ve found I can’t get the images to stretch to be 50% width.. I tried creating a row above with 2 columns using the images as background images but this isn’t ideal on mobile as the content doesn’t reflow correctly..
Does anyone have a suggestion on how to do this?

Does anyone know about a (set of) good tutorials(s) about the ‘responsive options’ in the ‘Column Settings’of Visual Composer?
I really don’t get what terms like ‘Offset’, ‘Width’ or ‘Inherit from smaller’ mean in this context.
Can’t find anything useful in the documentation or elsewhere on the web until now, unfortunately.

Hey Jochem, the responsive options tab allows you to alter the width of a column for different viewports. The offset param, can “push” a column by X amount. You can see an example of the offset in action on here: https://getbootstrap.com/docs/3.3/css/#grid-offsetting

I’ve just downloaded the latest update (8.5.4) and despite the change logs and support website indicating Salient’s templates have been updated for the latest WooCommerce release, I’m seeing “outdated template” warnings, specifically for “salient/woocommerce/single-product\product-image.php – version 3.1.0 is out of date. The core version is 3.3.2”. Any info on this???
Hey webgiantnz, they just released another update again (2/21/18) which caused the warning on that specific file and we’ll be patching to remove that warning later today. There should be compatibility issues however in the meantime from product-image.php

Is there a way to change the button text PER nectar slider?
Hey cjcombs, every slide you make can have different button text and each slide could potentially be assigned to a different slider location to be displayed only on certain pages

using the “Button Color” dropdown on each slide will allow you to change the button color for ever slide. If you’re only trying to alter the button text color and not the button BG color, it would require css at this time
Hi, Love the theme, Have been using it for a while now without hitch.
However since updating to 8.x two issues have appeared: 1. Morphing outlines now morph from Circle to Oval (Rather than Circle to rectangle as was previous) 2. Linea Icons do not load (appear on screen) with the draw-in animation option selected. I have disabled the animation option for the meantime so the icons at least show up.

1. I just tested the 4 morphing outline instances I can see on the home page in FF/Chrome and wasn’t able to replicate this after a few loads – have you tried clearing your cache & can you also see this occurring on the demo which has been updated? themenectar.com/demo/salient-agency
2. Could you please share the URL of another test page with the animation enabled on the icons so I can see what’s going on?

1. After clearing the cache the morphing outlines perform correctly – thanks 2. I have applied the animations to the homepage icons now for you to see. It seems one icon is animating in correctly now, the other two are still missing, and the console is showing an error: Uncaught Error: Vivus [constructor]: “element” parameter is required

Actually I think I might see something now that could be causing it – can you verify that there isn’t an empty icon element in the page builder set between those two? If there is, remove the unset icon and leave only the icon elements that have an icon set
All Icon elements have an icon set for them. There are no empty icon elements as suggested. I have sent login credentials via your author page as requested to have a look

Every time I make a change within the CMS/Visual Composer, the page jumps to the bottom of the CMS. For example, if I edit a text block and hit “save”, The page scrolls down to the bottom of the page. it does the same regardless of what I change. It’s not that big of a deal, but it does make editing within the visual composer a bit more difficult.
Is this a bug?

Please ensure you’re using the latest version of the Salient VC (5.2.4) older versions will have this issue when used in a WP4.9+ setup

I set my Header to 180 px high and my Slider to 750px high. Is it possible to set a semi-transparent overlay color over just the top part of my slider? It’s hard to read some of my menu on certain slides. http://kineticsupplychain.com/
