i recently purchased the smartmag template but cannot get any thumbnails to show. i have site almost completely built, but not a single thumbnail/preview image shows on frontend. i have tried every page widget but nothing.the only time you can see an image is in each post (because i manually inserted the image in the post). any suggestions?
i figured out a way to scroll down to bottom right in post to check add a featured image. but is it possible to check a box to automatically add featured image? or have 1 image show as thumbnail for an entire category?

Sorry this inquiry was lost in our spam filters. To answer your question, sure it’s easy to setup. The homepage is built using widgets for the sidebar and page builder has a concept “blocks” for the left side.

1. It’s compatible with AMP with our own custom ways. For FB we don’t have a custom solution for instant articles yet but our users are using the popular free plugin without issues.
2. Yes boxed layouts are available for all.
3. Sorry, this isn’t a feature.
4. Infinite scroll is available on category pages and homepage.

I love this theme. Is it possible to increase the size of the logo on the main page to like 1/3 of the header in “Life.Style” template? Will it affect the ads size? My logo require a large estate. Thanks.
And how do I change the ads next to the logo anyway? I couldn’t find the option for it.

By default this logo adjustment will need some Custom CSS that our support team can help with. For the ads, simply add a “Bunyad Advertisement” widget to the Header right widget area in Appearance > Widgets. For further support, please create a topic at our Support Forums.

What kind of external image plugin are you looking to use? When you say external images, do you mean something like JetPack Photon or the ability to use images from other sites (hotlink) on your own?

The ability to hotlink by using a plugin such as Nelio so your server space doesn’t end up with gigs of images.
Unfortunately we haven’t tested Nelio plugin. The plugin our users have successfully used is called “WP Offload S3” and it works well for hosting images externally.

Yes it will be fully tested and updated for Gutenberg. So far we have seen no issues with current alpha release but WordPress 5.0 is far from final yet so we’ll test again when it’s fully done.

Theme setup is problematic. You need to install a lot of plugins. I do not like the theme. The refund request is still not answered. I regret that I paid this money. There is no limit to the hosting I use. This theme is not good at usability. I was wrong by testing the demo version.

How are you, i signed up for support but still havent received a password to be able to login and open a ticket. Here are my questions:
1. How can i make the TOP section of FEATURED boxes rotate with different posts and can that be changed to a slider plugin s its able to rotate articles

everything is fine apart from the ‘advertisement’ in the header. I have placed my short code and selected a widget that does the job but it doesn’t sit where you would expect it to. its more towards the center of the page a higher up then the logo area. is there any way to place it in line with the logo and to the right of the page.

Its not an actual advertisment as in ‘google ads ’ its basically adverts i make and want to run on a slider. They work in other parts of the theme but it wont work in the header.

Hi, I’ve had to come back to this theme that I purchased a while back in the hope it would be suitable for another project.
I was disappointed to see that not much has actually changed with respect to layout and this theme being true full width on a desktop, rather than the old fashioned styling that this theme has in this mode.
I see also that the images you use as links to working demos clearly show this theme in near full glorious full width with slim borders, yet in reality, once installed and viewed from the desktop, we are left with two huge areas of wasted space either side of the webpage.
Users have been mentioning this issues for over 3 years yet nothing has changed. However, I see in previous replies you have stated that a major update may be forthcoming.
If this is still the case, can you confirm if full true width display will be present in this update and do you have any idea when this update will be released?

Thanks for your feedback. We have discussed this internally but considering the wide variety of devices available with varied resolutions from 1280px to 1920px wide screens, there’s no simple solution to be “viewport width” and stay optimized in terms of image sizes, design aesthetics/layout, and so on. While we may figure out a compromise in future, unfortunately the upcoming update (by April) isn’t going to be viewport width even if slightly wider.
