Exactly the same issue as ‘travelhappyeathealthy’ above. Upon activating the theme – screen goes white and no access via admin panel until I remove Newspaper from theme folder on FTP.

I’ve only been able to upload this theme via FTP and when I activate it my screen goes white and I cannot access my website or my admin panel. I’ve tried multiple times to upload the theme in different ways, without success. I’m really disappointed. I actually use the older version of Newspaper on a different website and I have no problems with that. It seems like this new version may have some coding issues? I’m not sure what the problem is and hoping the authors can fix it quickly…

There are no coding issues,. You simply did not update the theme plugins after updating the theme. Please also update the theme plugins by disabling and deleting the ones you have installed now and then install them again from the latest theme package.

is it possible to delete all demo file except I use and all unnecessary file from the theme and only that file will remain which I will use. then theme will be faster and short.

Please update the theme plugins as well after updating the theme. Delete the current plugins you have installed (theme plugins) and then install it again from the main theme panel. You might have used a multi-purpose element on your page and then disabled the plugin.

Hi, just wanted to say thank you for fixing the AMP issue so quickly, Google has now removed my errors from the console.
I also wanted to point out to others that they need to remove the old plugin and install the new plugin to fix it, I originally just updated the theme and forgot to update the AMP plugin itself.

Hi, I have again updated theme and plugins to the latest versions, but the problems are still there:
1. slow loading times: it took more than 50 seconds (!) to load a page. 2. frequently we’ve lost connection with our server ! This has never happened before.
I’ve rolled everything back to the old version : theme 8.6 and old version plugins and everything worked fine again.
Pls fix the problems with theme and plugins.

You have to update the theme and the theme plugins as well. We do not see any such issues on our end. Please update again and contact us via email at contact@tagdiv.com so we can login and investigate why it takes so long to load. If you do not want to affect the main domain, simply create a sub-domain for testing with a fresh install of wp and the theme. A staging site is recommended in these cases.

Hello, Sorry but our theme has no setting to change the default login implementation. You will have to redirect the login link to the custom login page. You can simply deactivate the theme login and create a new top menu item with the custom login page you want to implement.

Hi, is there a way to force block’s Popular (last 7 day) sort option to reset by disabling my cache plugin for a while and changing to zero or deleting a DB table option value or so? I insist on this because I prefer a thousand times this “popular” approach over any popular posts cache plugin existent, I just need a way to reset it (I hope I explain myself and I hope theres some way, even if it’s complicated and I have to do it all over every week).

I’m stuck at v8.5 every time I update the theme automatically via Dashboard, I get Bad Gateway 502 error. Can’t take advantage of the tagDiv AMP plugin…

Please update the theme via FTP way because this is the surest method in this case, according to our user guide from here -> We do not recommend the automatic updated via Envato Toolkit because might appears some errors until finishing the process.

I have just tried updating the theme via cPanel Folder Manager… The frontend worked fine, but I am still getting 502 Bad Gateway when I try to access the backend. I already asked the support from Siteground, they checked on it and told me the theme would timeout. What could be the reason here? Thanks much. Let me know if I can provide more information.

Ensure that you are using the latest version of the theme and plugins that come bundled with the theme core files. Remove all of the untested plugins, clear all the caches and check the results. Before each theme install/update, we recommend doing a full backup to your database to avoid losing all of your data. After this, you should simply update the theme via FTP way on your server.

Finally got the Newspaper 8 theme to update. It killed our website load time. Over 16secs now! Tested it out on a wordpress theme. Just over 3 secs. How can we fix this issue? Obviously 16+ seconds is not acceptable.

Ive disabled all the plugins. Cleared cache and test them all out. Its 4 plugins that were working perfectly fine before the update. Thrive Leads, Cache Plugin, Ultimate Video Player and even your own Tagdiv Social Counter. How do we fix this?

I have sent an email with the login info. The problems started after I made the 8.7.2 update. Its now not getting along with multiple other plugins. Before the update, it was working perfectly fine.

If you select the imges to be opened in the attachment page, then that page will get created. Proper seo will determine what google shows in the search results.
