Hi!

How can I upload a video for home background? I just can put a link from another site like Youtube, Vimeo.

Regards

That’s right. :) it’s done through the section settings. There is a background option where you can upload an image, video, colour or gradient.

Please see: https://docs.elementor.com/article/190-change-background-image

Hi, quick presale question!

We want to make it so first the admin has to approve the booking, so without payment. After that, the customer must pay for the visit with WooCommerce / built in the e-mail notification. Is this already built in the theme / or is it easy to make it ourselves?

Thank you!

Hello, thank you. You can disable the auto responder and you can also create and send invoices via WooCommerce independently from the booking system. So I think this will work well for you. If you run into any issues, please let us know over here https://themovation.ticksy.com/

Hi!

When I put the mouse over the rooms, the name of the room and its price appear, how do I change that data?

Regards

Hello, than you. This is under Dashboard / Rooms / All Rooms / Edit . You should see a Room Grid Options section. :)

Thank you!

hy! I have a small problem. I used anchors and custom links in menu. It works but all the links in menu are active because of that (underlined). Tried going into custom css and adding to active and menu class – text-decoration: none !important…. but it doesn’t work. Also, inspecting menu, and links, i don’t see underline or box effect anywhere… where does underline come from? is there a custom class that manges that… is there a way to set custom anchor links not to be active?

Have a nice day, igor.

Thank you for letting us know. Please try adding th-anchor to the menu items. Please see: https://themovation.helpscoutdocs.com/article/208-anchor-link-styling-in-menu If that does not work, please let me know. We have an update coming out on Friday so there are a few updates to help with this issue.

Hi Ryan,

I’m thinking about buying this theme and have a few questions. We just have one vacation rental house and only rent out the entire house (not individual rooms). Does this theme support just a single vacation rental house? Does the demo content come with the theme and is the theme well documented for novice WP folks? Does it require any other third-party software?

Thanks, Brian

Hello! Thank you. Yes, actually the theme is best for vacation rentals and the bundled booking system works especially well for whole vacation rental homes. So a great fit there.

The demo does include all pages and sample content and you can download all of the creative commons photos that you see on our demo. :)

It’s ver easy to use. We make great use of the new Elementor drag and drop builder , so intuitive.

If you run into any questions, we also have great support over here: https://themovation.ticksy.com/

and great documentation here: https://themovation.helpscoutdocs.com/

Great, thanks. Last question—can I put the booking part at the bottom of the screen or any other location instead of right under the main image?

The booking calendar can be added most places, it’s just a shortcode so most places that allow text. :)

Hello guys. What is happening with syncing with Booking and AirBnB? Can we succeed it via your theme; And if yes, do we need any plugin?

Thanks for your interest. We bundle the WP Booing System which is a premium plugin but bundled for free. That includes an ical link so that you can pull booking details into any system that supports ical. If you want to import from airbnb or others, then you will need a system like VR calendar, which also works with your theme. I believe VR calendar syncs both ways :)

If you run into any issues, please let our support guys know.

Hi, can I change the rental for monthly/ yearly bases? is there a recurring invoices? for monthly rentals?

Hello and thank you for your interest. The calendar can be setup to force a minimum and maximum days and since we use WooCommerce for our payment processing, you should be able to use a plugin for recurring payments. I’m not 100% but I found this: https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/subscriptions/payment-gateways/

Seems to be a free download.

Also, WP Booking System is premium that you get for free but you don’t have to use this system, you can use virtually any WP Booking Plugin that you like :)

Hi, in the room page i have the comment box on the bottom, how can i delete it? Thanks.

Hi,

I want to know if the booking system support the following: - Value by the number of persons; - Voucher’s - Price by period (Summer/Spring/Winter/Christmas)

Thanks.

Hi,

I see in a comments search that its possible to add custom fields. It’s possible to affect price with this custom fields?

Thanks.

I saw this on comments: ”....Once customers arrives to cart page, cannot go back and change the calendar, because the days they’ve selected are already pending, does not matter if they paid or not…” It’s true? The booking it’s add after or before confirm order?

That’s right, there are some limitation with the WP Booking System. We dont’ develop the plugin, but we have a partnership with the plugin author to bundle ti for free. I have an article about how the two work together (WPBS and WooCommerce) Please see: https://themovation.ticksy.com/article/7985/

It keeps saying I have 1 update in my plugins but when I go into my plugins screen there are no updates? What is making this appear?

Current plugins and their versions: Elementor: Vers: 1.9.5 Formidable Forms: Vers: 3.0.06 Formidable Forms Pro: Vers: 3.0.06 WP Booking System: Vers: 4.2.4 Kirki Tooklit: Vers: 3.0.25

Hm, that looks good to me. We’ll be updating our plugins today. If the problem persists by next week, pleaser let us know. We can pop in and take a closer look.

Thanks for letting us know.

Hello! I have a payment question that seems to be opposite of what most people want: Is it possible for the customer to go all the way through the booking process and enter payment information (eg: through Paypal) but have the system “hold” that information until the owner manually changes it to “booked”?

We’d like to capture customers by encouraging them to give us their dates and info, and CC information (rather than just requesting a reservation) – but we also need to have the option to not approve the booking if necessary (because we have to coordinate with Airbnb.) If the customer pays and we then have to cancel, we have to go through the process of refunding the money via Paypal, which is a pain – we’re just hoping there’s a way to set it so the entire cart is pending, including the payment, until it’s approved on the back end. Is this possible?

Thank you for your interest. Yes, this will work but you will need to check with the merchant gateway and WooCommerce to see if they provide a pre-authorization before payment is processed.

I know that Stripe offers this: https://woocommerce.com/products/stripe/

You would need to check what options are available with the WooCommerce PayPal module.

As for the booking system, you can set it to auto-pending so that those dates are held until an admin can process the payment.

I should work well, if you run into any issues, please let us know.

best regards, Ryan

Hi, we have a bug when we tried to add a new html section on a page, the display check box is not there, and we can’t access to the several tabs. It has happened when we added the 6th html section on the second language page. Do you have any idea why the display check box is not there? Thank you.

hello, thanks for contacting us. Are you able to create a ticket for our technical team here? https://themovation.ticksy.com/ That will help us get a better understanding of what we are working with.

We’ll help you get this all sorted out asap.

Kind regards.

I am still setting up and configuring my WP site but I just wanted to say something about this theme:

It is unquestionably the best install and set-up process I have ever experienced with a WordPress theme. An excellent wizard brings you through install, demo content & plug-in installation and theme style selection.

Top tier attention to detail – well done guys.

AWESOME!! Thank you so much. We love these comments. We do our very best to provide amazing service too. Please, if you can rate us with 5 stars, we would be more gracious.

Hello, as I can see Woocomerce orders has absolutely no inpact on WP booking system. If I link a calendar to a product, and I create a shortcode with product ID, WP booking sytem will pass the number of booked nights to Woocommerce, but that’s all. On the cart page, customers see quantity of items (rooms), instead of arrival date and departure date, woocommerce sends the standard email, which does not contain the arrival and departure dates, if I integrate a payment gateway, and the booking is pre-payed, I still need to manually accept the booking in wp booking calendar… On the cart page, customers are able to change the quantity of products, decrease the price by decreasings the quantity of items, which has no inpact on calendars… Once customers arrives to cart page, cannot go back and change the calendar, because the days they’ve selected are already pending, does not matter if they paid or not… I need to make an additional form with the calendar, to ask the name of the customers, othervise if they just fill the standard WC checkout form, I don’t know wich oder belongs to wich customer (since I only receive the standard WC mail, without arrival and departure dates). So I would not say, that this theme fully suports WooCommerce, it just passes the number of nights to it. It’s not very user-friendly this way.

Hello, thank you for your insights.

1. The WP Booking System includes custom fields that you can setup so, you can collect as much customer information as you wish. This will get saved in the Booking Reservation system. You can also match the customer up by some shared custom fields like email, name, phone, order total etc.

2. We have some custom code if you wish to see the checkin / checkout dates in WooCommerce. It shows on the the cart and saved in the Woo order.

3. We also have some code if you wish to hide the quantity field in the WooCommerce checkout. The customer won’t need to adjust this because they have already selected their dates on the calendar and the total is saved for checkout.

4. You do not have to manually accept the booking in the wp booking system, you can set it up to automatically go to pending or booked. Yes, you will have to manually check to ensure that the customer has paid in the WooCommerce order, that’s why we recommend using the auto-pending state, then confirm as booked once the payment comes in. Works well for most people.

5. Customers are automatically emailed from WP Booking for the reservation confirmation and also in WooCommerce for order details. This is included.

Yes, the theme fully support woocommerce in that, anything that you want to do with woocommerce should work well with the theme. We do testing to ensure this.

The WP Booking System works with Woo in a limited way as this is developed by a 3rd party and they have allowed us to bundle their premium version for free. We’ve connected their WP Booking System with WooCommerce to add payment functionality. So yes, the theme fully supports Woo, the Booking System is connected but some features like customer info sync and going back from checkout to change reso dates are not available although we have child theme code that allows the checkin checkout dates to show / saved in Woo.

It appears that you have not purchased this theme yet, are you looking for support or just asking some presales questions?

Happy to help.

ps. The theme itself works with most WP Booking plugins, so if you feel that the WP Booking system is not going to meet your requirements, you can easily use any system you wish.

Best regards, Ryan

Ryan, thank you for your support.

I’d like to use those custom codes, you’ve mentioned, because I did not find them in the documentation. These were not presales questions, my colleauge had purchased the theme, we are working on the same project. I’ll ask his help to sign in, and we will open a support ticket about these issues.

Thank you for your answer!

Hi guys. Thanks again for this awesome theme. Works like a charm and client is also very happy with the results. We do ran into one issue..

We’d like to show the total price of what the customer is about to book. So let’s say he’s selecting 5 days for appartement 1 (€100 per night) then the total price should display € 500,-. Is this even possible with the WP booking system? I can’t seem to figure it out… I’d also like to see prices per day when you hover over it with your mouse, is this also possible?

Hope to hear from you soon.

Hello, thank you for the message. That’s awesome to hear. Sorry, the booking system is not set at the moment to show the price on the booking page. it’s produced by the good people at wp booking system, so we can put a request in for this feature. I think it’s a good one. If it’s not going to meet your requirements, we’ve created the theme in a way that it will work with most WP plugins. So you can try others as well, they should just as well with the theme. If you have any issues, please let us know. We are happy to help.

Hi, Just a basic question. I have imported the demo guesthouse content and am trying to edit one of the rooms. I can’t work out how to change the image at the top of the room page (the background image behind the title, description and button). I assumed it was the featured image but I have changed that already. Thanks.

It’s ok, I missed the edit section icon at the top of the page. I have changed the image now.

Awesome. Thank you for the follow up. :) If you run into any other issues, please let us know :)

Cant see bellevue theme.zip instalation. How to instali theme?

I would always work with the child theme active. :) Just curious have you made any file edits to any of the files under your child theme folder on the server?

I have not made any changes yet. That’s why we talk about what’s better. In the moment work with the child theme active on the xampp localhost

Thats the right approach if you must develop locally. :)

If you want a real smooth transition to a live hosting setup, most hosts will create a temp “staging” site for you where you can work in the cloud but in a private / unlisted way. Then, when you are ready to go live, many hosts have an automated way to transition the site to a live site. I know GoDaddy, BlueHost and SiteGround have this time of setup. Best to check with them first but I’ve found siteground to be awesome.

Hi, Is there a way I can change the hyperlink color? I’m using your rustic theme and trying to change the color of a hyperlink in a header element. So far I’ve just added the html in the text itself for the hyperlink and i added style=”green” and it worked. But when I click on on another element to edit, the hyperlink color goes back to normal (black) and it doesn’t ‘save’. Thank you!

Hello! Thank you. The colour should be based off your primary color selected in the theme options / customizer. Thats’ under dashboard / appearance / customize / theme options / color / :)

happy to help.

Hi, Thanks for your reply! I looked there and unfortunately it’s already the color that I want. Maybe it’s the header element? I’m putting text in the header element, under title and description, and want certain text to be hyperlinked to another website. I’m unable to make hyperlinks in the description edit box so I tried using html which worked, however, the color didn’t. I then tried to add style in the and it appeared to work, but once I deselected that element to work on another, it changed to black again. Do you have any suggestions? Thanks!

Happy to assist. Can you send me a link to the page you are working on? Can you also point me to the correct element ? Then I can take a look at the inspector to see what’s going on. :)
