If you want to have the images from the homepage the same size, all you have to do is go to Appearance → Customize → Layout → Portfolio Archive and uncheck the Enable 3D Grid option. Can you give this a try and tell me how it works?

No update was needed so far for our Pile theme but can you tell me if there’s anything in particular that you expect? Or why do you think that it’s time for a new update? Maybe there’s a good reason for that and we should work on it.

Sorry for this delayed reply.

1. There’s no specific size to use for the hero area. I would say that an image around 1900×1200px would look fine both on any device. Also, you can use bigger images and use a tool like http://optimizilla.com/ to optimize them and make sure that the website won’t be slowed.
2. Can you try to use the Enable 3D Grid option from Appearance → Customize → Layout → Portfolio Archive? This should do the trick.
3. Only the pages you can see in our demo can be created for now. Do you have any example website that you can send to me so I can tell you whether you can achieve this with our theme or not?
4. There are a lot of Instagram plugins that you can use. This is just an example that I’m using on different websites: https://wordpress.org/plugins/instagram-feed/

I understand that you’d like to stop the parallax effect but making this kind of change would require a whole different structure of the theme elements and I’m afraid that this is a part I cannot help you with. I looked for some tricks to do the job but nothing worked as expected.

I’m glad you’re interested in using our theme on your website. The license terms of ThemeForest say that you need to have a separate license for each domain you’re using the theme in. So, if you want to use Pile on two different domains, you need to purchase two licenses.

You can try to reach out the ThemeForest team and ask them about this (you can use this link: https://help.market.envato.com/hc/en-us/requests/new ), maybe things have changed and you can use the same license for more than one domain. Since they are the ones that made the terms, they should be the ones to help you with an advice about this too

Hi, it happens when reading a longer letter in the slideshow, when you scroll back up, everything dissapears and “reloads” again. is there no setting to “turn off” this automatic “reload”ing of content? Thanks, Lala

Hi, I’ve got some pretty large video files and am thus using vimeo as my video CDN. BTW, I licensed pile a long time ago, like many themes I just like to buy them so I have plenty of options for clients. I really like where you are going as a theme shop with highly developed and excellently coded themes. This one plays nicely with all of the other plugins I am using on the site for multimedia storytelling. omnisapien.com is the site I am working on right now. It’s a creative art / teaching project.

150MB videos and up for these 3 and others. I’d like to have a true hero header as an option.

Hey there,

This is the first time to hear about having images between pages when loading happens. I have to admit that I personally love this idea and I will take it to my colleagues too, maybe we can give it a shot in the future.

Regarding the plugin shortcodes, this is a tricky part. Basically, if the plugin is compatible loading then everything will work very well. However, if the plugin requires a page refresh in order to load some content, things will go south. So, basically, this is all about the way that the plugin works.

Yes that is exactly what I am talking about and I just got goosebumps from knowing you are attempting to fix this. Because as I said, this is an amazing theme and would be willing to buy another license for it.
