Mainly adult video websites.
Honestly we did not tested our theme with adult video websites but other customers used a quick workaround: if you have the URL of the video (you can find it right clicking on the video and then open the video on a new tab – video should be a .mp4 file) you can embed it on your posts on Vlogger with this shortcode:
You can buy the theme and try it. If it doesn’t work we can provide the refund within 7 days from purchase.

Please help me follow your Customization Video and others (need tweaking) so I can build my website. I have spent valuable time, over 20 hrs. and have gotten no where, as the Tutorial Videos and Tutorial Information (Manuals) are dated 2017 and plug ins , function, screens, etc. do not function as described. I am hoping for some serious support, as the only reason I purchased your Theme, is because I believed the Tutorials would match the Theme and make it easy. Now I am out of time and about to follow a FREE Step by Step Video Tutorial with a different Theme so that I can reach my goal.

As I can see you found some trouble with our documentation and video tutorials but I can’t understand exactly which the real issues are.
As Vlogger is been published on Themeforest during 2017, manual’s images and videos are related to that period but I can ensure you that functions and screens are the same as described.
Installation process (as described in our product page) is a one click straight forward procedure even importing demo contents. We also included into the theme a customizations panel in order to make theme’s tweaks a lot easier.
What I can suggest you is open a ticket on our dedicated support website including screenshot of your issues and pointing our developers and support specialists to a precise issue.

Can I embed my own custom videos? I’m not talking about mp4 I’m using a MONETIZED EMBEDDABLE PLAYER.
Hello evilnoise, currently you can’t embed your own player. We’ve implemented a video player that is deeply integrated with the theme and you can’t exclude it from the code.

Is there a way to link to external video links? Ie. if I had the site hosted on (site 1) coolnewwebsite.com and had a series of videos stored on (site 2) videorepository.com.
Could I link to: videorepository.com/videos/1.mp4 and have it play in a post…. without having to download it and re-upload it to site 1’s network?

Hello! I just installed this theme and I immediately got the error “Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_FUNCTION in /home/content/52/7617852/html/wp-content/themes/vlogger/functions.php on line 1093” This states that the error is in the vlogger theme functions.php file. Can you help?

You have an old PHP version. WP requires PHP 7 to run, you should have php 5.6 if you see this message. You have to contact your hosting provider in order to change this setting for your hosting space.

Thank you. I changed that and it worked! However, as I’m creating new posts and immediately placing the video url (youtube) first …. my videos still won’t show up in the header. Am i doing something wrong?

1) We’re looking at using your theme on a large 100,000+ video site. Is wordpress and your theme a viable solution? Has any of your clients ever used this theme on a site of that size? And do you have any details on the size of their webserver CPU, RAM etc?
2) on your Series Carousel page, is it possible to show related blog posts and pages i.e. any custom url on the related tab?
3) Also is it possible to have an additional tab with a map location on it in Series Carosel? Maybe having additional scrolable tabs?
4) Is it possible to set up a series carosel page with sub categories for a single parent category?
5) Can a user save their watch list for later viewing?
6) Is there a map plugin that works with your theme that we can geotag the video location to and show where the video comes from on a google map for example?
7) How do site visitors upload their videos?
What exactly are the categories that are created for the videos (assuming they’re not standard blog posts)? Are they are like portfolio posts on other themes. Reason I ask is compatability with other plugins etc…

Hello! 1) That’s not a problem till you have a decent hosting, anyway mostly it depends on the amount of traffic not on the amount of records in db. All of our sites are running on the same server and we have about 100K visitors total in about 30 websites in the same server.
2) I don’t understand which page you mean exactly 8a link would be welcome, cos we have many similar) anyway yes, you can easy extract related posts (as we do in the theme).
3) No maps, but you can install “QT Places” plugin (is a premium plugin doesn’t come with the theme) that allows you to easy geolocate every address and you can add maps easily to any post type, also create filterable maps of posts, perfect for example for a travel blog or similar.
4) You can filter shortcodes by category and build the page with shortcodes
5) Yes, is stored in a cookie. The cookie is just a list of ID, no personal data/ip are saved.
6) QT Places
7) No such UGC function comes with the them you have to do it using role editor plugin
Video posts are normal post types with custom layout that you can choose and customize, there are no custom types, so you shouldn’t have compatibility issues. Categories are standard WP post categories.

I’m sorry there is no such option within theme’s features, you need to use specific plugins OR custom development to achieve this, anyway is more than what we can provide with theme and support.
About geotagging, can you please explain what you need exactly? We have a premium plugin that allows you to add geolocation capabilities to any post, and create maps of posts, also filterable by categories.
Thanks for replying. With Geotagging we just want our users to be able to set the location of their video when they upload it. Then this will feed through to your premium plugin to view on a map where that video was taken.

Hey guys, the player in the Stage won’t count the views on youtube. If i embed the Video in the content-area it will be counted… is this a known issue? Is there any possibility to change that?

The default YouTube video player in the Stage is replaced with a third-party one that has lots of custom feature (like cue points for example) but as I can see doesn’t count the views properly. Our developers will check it and then I’ll get back to you.

I checked the knowledge-base but couldn’t find any information on this, and it’s a bit of a blocker as far as purchasing your theme.
It looks as if videos are displayed in the featured slot by being just the first video in the post?? I’ve seen other themes with a dedicated featured video field (as is Newspaper, which is what I’m currently using), and was wondering if this is correct.
If it is, is there any sort of migration utility for this theme that would save me from having to go through 2 years worth of content just to change post formats??

Will this work if I want to have a memberpress and woocommerce shop also in my blog?
Hello tomashley, thanks for writing in. Currently there is no native support on Vlogger for Memberpress and WooCommerce but we have customers that use them fine. You will need some CSS customizations to fit the graphic style of the theme, but as I wrote before, you shouldn’t have any functionality issues.

Do you provide support by email? I shouldn’t have to register on a yet another forum to get a response. I can add this functionality myself but I believe it should be available out of the box.

Not all authors do it that way. Some use systems that don’t require registration and still provide all the functionality that you’ve described. I asked a simple question about whether a feature was perhaps coming in an upcoming update, I didn’t request any special treatment. A simple yes or no would suffice.
We wanted to provide you a solution to achieve your desired result with a custom plugin version and eventually an update. These things are not provided in public forums because only paying customers as you deserve access to those kind of custom solutions.
If you want just yes or not, instead, the simple answer is no.
While I appreciate your good intentions you got me confused – you wanted to provide this functionality in a public update but won’t now? Is that out of spite or because you don’t believe it is necessary to support scheduled posts?
Normally scheduled posts are not listed among aggregated posts features, is not a rule just how normally things works, but this kind of update wouldn’t have created any additional weight on theme’s execution, so it could have been implemented in production even thou only 1 customer required it, without constituting any product performance hogging. Therefore, it could have been implemented under an optic of mutual collaboration and respect.
As we explained in manual, readme file, product description and lately in the last post, we don’t provide support here for 6 major reasons:
1) I’m not the person who should provide this service 2) This is not a place where we can share complex things 3) paid customers deserves solutions that are reserved to them, therefore if you pay you have access to info that are in a private area, otherwise where’s the point of having support 4) In the forum we create a knowledge that lasts forever, indexed and trackable, so that every further customer can take advantage of those solutions and we don’t repeat the same answer twice 5) This space is for commercial questions and pre-purchase questions 6) In the forum there are people dedicated to answering support. If you go to the supermarket and ask the cheese to the cashier, he will send you to the cheese guy. Because is not the right place and person. You can complain for this, but you’ll never get cheese from the cashier. Don’t know why people don’t understand this when it’s about support, even thou is explained pretty large in every documentation

hi, A really good theme that I plan to use for my main homepage, just what I’ve been looking for. I think I found a small bug on safari iPad (large PRO) in horisontal view. When looking on a video lesson there is a large white field under the video/video instructions and the content area that is not there on mobile or desktop browser. Its gone in iPad vertical mode. Same problem in your demo as in my on site, so it’s not a bug in my installation.

In order to translate the theme, you don’t necessarily have to install WPML. You just simply use a free software call Poedit. Check this manual page to get more details about it:

By the way, I think you can download for free from archive.org, don’t you? If the MP4 is hosted on the same domain of the website, you will not have any issue of this kind.

If I make a video post, the video is not displayed for me. First when I put the post template on Tutorial, the video is displayed and you can play it.
But scrolling down then shifts the topic because of the Post Template Tutorial. I do not want to have that, just a simple single video post.
