Hello there, pre-sales questions please, I’m not a developer, so I hope I express correctly the following 
QUESTION 1
I want to make a business directory to list providers of various services (and from various states, nationwide), and I want to place clickable headers (my own ads) in the search results pages (I want to add a different header for each category, subcategory, tag and location search results page). Please consider, I am not referring to the default image WP lets assign to categories and subcategories and so, cause that image is not clickable.
I think that for that to be possible, each time the user changes his search queries or terms, the URL must change instead of just having loaded the new results while keeping the same URL (as I’ve seen doing some tests in the demo). Here’s an example: https://www.bodas.com.mx/invitaciones-de-boda
As you can see, the URL has the category (/invitaciones-de-boda), and when you add another search filter (from the left boxes, for example ESTADO which means State), the website loads the URL /invitaciones-de-boda/aguascalientes (/TheCategory/TheState)
The opposite (loading new results within the same URL ) would not only mean that what I want to do won’t be possible (I guess) but also that Google Analytics stats won’t be accurate, cause people will be visiting different categories but will not be registered as the URL won’t change).
So, will the theme allow me to do EXACTLY what I want? Meaning, to place headers in each category, subcategory, tag and location search results page, and that URLS will load/change so users may see the header I assigned to each category, subcategory, tag and location?
QUESTION 2
Another doubt I want to clear is this: when users select in the search bar the category they want to visit, the website will load the URL of the category, and the will see the header I assigned. So far so good.
Now, if a user, instead of selecting the category from the correspondent search field in the search bar, introduces it like a keyword, I’m guessing he’s going to be redirected to a query search result URL instead of the category URL, right?
To clarify: selecting “Category A” in the dropdown field of a search bar will load him the category URL (/listings/category-a) so he will see the header I want. But if he writes “Category A” in the field assigned to keyword searching, then the search result won’t be the category URL and instead will be the query search result URL (something like /listings/results=query) and there will not be any header there cause those pages can´t be modified by a non-developer, right?
I will also want to know:
3. For the content of the listings (the default information that will apply to all listings), can I add custom fields? I’m referring mostly to text, cause I want the listings to show the most possible provider information.
4. If so, can I add the content of those custom fields as search filters?
5. When a business owner creates an account and add a listing, and someone give to his listing a review, will he (the business owner) will be able to reply to that review?

Hi! First of all thank you for taking the time to answer and sorry for the delay. We like the theme and decided to instead of try to make it meet our needs, take advantage of what it already offers. So, we’ll very much appreciate if you could be so kind to help us with these questions since we couldn’t figure out browsing the demo.
Will any developer be able customize the theme? We want to make sure the core structure is not so fixed that only someone with prior knowledge about it can modify it and/or that changes will be hard to maintain with future updates.
We’re going to install an Ad Manager plugin to display or hide ads based on URL parameters (different headers in different categories and subcategories).
a) Theme comes with classic search option (URLs changing with page reload at search) or only Ajax? Because with Ajax we won’t be able to place the ads since the URL won’t change (that’s what we understood).
b) Theme displays user and search engine friendly URLs? AKA pretty permalinks (/listings/keyword/city) versus ugly permalinks (/listings/ct_keyword&ct_city)
c) Theme displays URL query strings always in same order or the order changes according to filtering sequence? What we mean is: If user chooses category first and search, and then chooses location the URL would be /category/location. If he chooses location first and search, and then chooses category, the URL will still be /category/location instead of now being /location/category?
1) Is it possible to let the user choose more than one category and/or subcategory for his listing?
2) Emails sent through listings contact forms will go to the corresponding listing owners or to the website owner?
3) Email alerts are received when listings are created or deleted?
4) Not wanting to have to approve every listing created, can we set them to be published right away when submitted?
5) If so, we’ll still receive email alerts upon listings creation and deleting, or we will lose them for that?
6) How customizable is the search box? At first we want to let visitors filter by Category and Location only, and later as the listings grow have more filtering options.
7) Which way translation can be accomplished, with .po files and also with Loco Translate plugin?
8- Theme lets add own dependencies (like Country – State)? If so child options aren’t displayed until visitor first chooses one option of the parent field or always displayed?
PS We like Search&Go and BizFinder as well as FindMe themes so I’ll post questions on the three to tie-break and choose based on features.

Because all 3 themes have exactly the same features, this answer counts for all 3 of them.
a) We use classic search, no AJAX. b) when you search for something, it’s “ugly” url. c) Always in the same order.
1) No, this is not possible with our theme.
2) Owner of the website.
3) No, you have to configure this for yourself manually.
4) Yes, this is possible.
5) This is optional, can be turned on or off.
6) Not customizable at all, search looks for keywords only.
7) We suggest WPML plugin, that is compatible with our themes. You can also translate theme labels manually, using default .po file.
This feature is not available in our theme.

Some question about it: 1) Is it possible to have random listing on Home Page? 2) and Is possible to have random Featured Listing on Home page? 3) Is it possible to have Featured Item (listing) before other items in the map search results? 4) In ADMIN SECTION do you have an activate/deactivate STATUS function of Listing and is possible to change here author of listing? 5) Do you have a demo version to test inside admin section? 3. We do not have that feature in our theme.
4. Yes, you can set the post to Pending Review, and you can also change the author.

2. All theme labels are using unique theme text domain so you can translate them to your language with poedit software, but also you can use popular WPML plugin.

She want to run a website that does majorly 2 things (Showcasing businesses & Classified Adds) which will make me ask some important pre-buy questions.
1. In the case of the business listing, Is it possible for other users to search for the profile of a particular user to see his/her profile details, contact, what ads he/she has listed from front-end (can users view each other profile from front-end by searching)
2. Is there any way in which to make the user advert location auto-fill because not all site users will know about longitude and latitude.
3. Will i be able to create custom fields to the Ad posting form and will the form be intelligent to assign some field to particular categories depending on users input
4. Is there anyway to show if a member is online in the front-end or to integrate a messaging system.

1. Users, don’t have public profile page which can show amount of listings, adds etc, so only option is to create custom page for each user, and then to add link from listing content.
2. They don’t need to add latitude / longitude, because fields will be populated when city or address is typed in https://www.screencast.com/t/CHlQK6lHGYk
3. Fields are predefined for that post type, so it is not possible to change them from options so you have to make some modifications.
4. Such an option doesn’t exist so you need to search for some 3rd party plugin in order to extend theme functionality in that way. We are really not in position to suggest plugins other then ones which are listed in theme description on the Theme Forest since they are officially supported.

Theme scripts will be initialized on page load, and when you zoom in / out you will reach screen size which isn’t properly styled because grid isn’t adjusted for that size since it is not screen resolution which exists in real life or some script which is calculating element position isn’t initialized – page isn’t refreshed. That is normal behavior. I don’t think that visitors will zoom page when they view it, especially not that much, but if your client insists on that then you should contact our support trough support forum at https://elated.ticksy.com

That’s excellent. Will I be able to add in the custom excerpt on the map when you click on a restaurant? Or at least have the restaurant come up on the right results area when clicked on? It appears to only be listed in order at the moment.
Also am I able to create custom excerpts depending on what is searched? For example if I search all days, the four like previous come up. However if I was to search just Tuesday, then only the excerpt for Tuesday will show?

Because of WordPress wpautop function which is wrapping lines with paragraph tags, and now function is being executed in text widget because it is present be default in text editor, which is inducted in WordPress version 4.8. Solution to this is to remove all spaces inside text widgets, and if that doesn’t work 100% or you don’t want to go trough all theme widgets and to do this manually you can simply add following line of code inside theme folder / functions.php
remove_filter('widget_text_content', 'wpautop');If you want permanent modification for future updates you should add that line inside child theme folder / functions.php file.

You need to create translation file for your language and to translate theme labels. Use poedit software https://poedit.net/, load translation file from theme folder / languages, translate it, and name it according to WP Codex https://make.wordpress.org/polyglots/teams/
Or you can use WPML plugin which is compatible with the theme.

yes i had translated some words using the file from folder languages but when i open it in Poedit i can’t find the words like (Date Desc, keyword)! is there a way to translate manually ?

Probably you need to update po file in order to make sure that all text strings are inside, but off course you can find these strings within theme files with some advanced editor like sublime text for example and to change them manually.
