You currently have the row that holds the FEATURED COLLECTIONS set to “full width content” where the row above is set to “full width background”. Please change the FEATURED COLLECTIONS to match the other type and then I can help you further tweak it with css if needed

You also have 10% padding set on the Featured Collections row, once you remove that the edges of both rows will align. Then if you’re just trying to space the columns the same, add this into the custom css box:

.woocommerce.columns-4 ul.products li.product {
  width: 25%;
  margin: 0!important;
  padding: 20px!important;
} 
.woocommerce.columns-4 ul.products {
    width: calc(100% + 40px);
    margin-left: -20px;

As of now the mouse parallax option is only available as a row BG feature, so the easiest way would be to just prepare those scenes are a full width background as normal, but then keep your column content overlaid with a column BG color set to slightly transparent opacity

Hi Nectar -

We are finding placement of the parallax image elements in rows pretty challenging, as the images scale larger from their intended size, seemingly based on window size and the amount of text content in the column to the side of the images.

Is there a way to have the row or column height fixed so that background image content starts at the intended scale, and only scales down if the window gets smaller? Can we prevent the background images from stretching larger?

You currently have the rows turned to “Full height row” – uncheck that option and then adjust the height in a responsive manner by using the top/bottom padding with % values. e.g. 15% – if you can’t tweak it just how you’d like for your use case then css could be used to force a height above a certain screen width

I can see you’re using the option for “Move Dynamic/Custom CSS Into External Stylesheet?” in the Salient options panel > general settings > css/script related tab. When you have that on and you update the theme, you need to resave your theme options by clicking “save changes” in order to regenerate the external stylesheet

Sorry, I’m referring to the Recent Projects Widget that can be placed in the footer, not the element in page builder. I want to have two displays in the footer using the same widget, each showing a different category of projects. As it stands, the widget defaults to ‘all’. I’d like to know if it’s possible to change this to a specific category.

The child theme is there for you to copy files from the parent into it and make the changes there in order to avoid having to redo changes when updating the parent theme. Just copy the header.php from the parent into the child and make the edit there

get_nectar_theme_options is a function that’s existed in the core Salient functions.php for a while now, if you’re getting an error that’s saying it’s undefined, something must be off with your installation of the theme. Have you uploaded a fresh, up-to-date version with no modifications? Have you tried to reinstall yet? If that’s not working for you, Could you please open a ticket in regards with your admin credentials so we can take a further look into this? https://themenectar.ticksy.com

Switch your theme skin to “material” in the Salient options panel > general settings tab to get the newer mobile header navigation to show up – which keeps the search and cart icons on mobile

1. You just need to update the theme in regards then – it’s been available for about half a year as of v8.5 http://themenectar.com/docs/salient/updating-salient/

2. No, the theme skin is a single option that can be changed at anytime – it won’t effect any of your other theme options or remove other settings. It’s different than a demo import, as importing a new demo overrides all the current theme options + imports new content.
