Hi,
We’ve been using your great-looking theme for years in its version 1.5.5, but due to some instability between the Visual Composer and Wordpress 4.9.5, we decided to migrate to the version 2.0.4 of the Vela theme. However, after uploading the new version of the theme, the site does not load anymore and throws an error “Failed to load resource: the server responded with a status of 500 (Internal Server Error) in (index):1”. The Wordpress debugger doesn’t display anything, so we have trouble investigating the issue. Do you have any idea of what could be wrong? Maybe updating first to an intermediate version could help?

Hi,
The most common reasons for WordPress throwing up this error include having a corrupted .htaccess file, exceeding your PHP memory limit, or having improper file permissions, but there could also be other potential causes, such as outgrowing your hosting plan or a known issue with your hosting provider.
Try to increase the PHP memory limit on your web host first. Then I recommend you to deactivate all plugins on your site. If you couldn’t access your WordPress admin page, you will need to delete the plugin folders from “wp-content/plugins” from FTP or cPanel File Manager on your web server.
Here are the bundled plugins from the theme:

And then, go to your WordPress admin page to see if it works. If it still doesn’t work, try to delete other plugins.

After disabling the WP Super Cache plugin, and updating all the packages the theme depends on, the error 500 disappeared. Thanks a lot for your help!

Vela-3 (one page) I download the Calendar plug in and made the new events couple things , add the menu (made the Calendar name) to few events(open the new tab) If i click the Calendar then open the new tab and can see the events but I wanna make about when i click the calendar , not events, just month calendar i want. How can i do this? because Vela-3 is not supported the calendar so i did about open the new tab , idk how can i add the Calendar at menu actually. I just did add the events at Menu.

You have to change the link of the Calendar page in Appearance -> Menus to the link above.
Vela-3 , I wanna change the picture that Portfolio background(desk and chair). But i cant find this option for change.
That is a default page title area background image, you can change it in Theme Options -> Page -> Title -> Background Image.
Also, you can set the background image for each portfolio page in Vela Options -> Title Area in the portfolio edit screen.
Vela-3 , I made the page and portfolio and put the category in page. when i login the website i can see the Portfolio but if i click the one thing , then i can see the ERROR 404 PAGE . how can i fix?
It sounds like a permalink issue. Try to clear the permalink settings caches to see if it works. Go to Settings -> Permalinks, select Post name and save changes.

It might be a permalink conflict issue, I guess. However, if you have the same problem in the future, you can clear the permalink rewrite rules by visiting the Permalink Settings screen in Settings -> Permalinks on your WordPress admin page, you can find more details here: https://codex.wordpress.org/Settings_Permalinks_Screen
This theme not support to background music? cause i got the plug in and installed , website is working (Auto play) music but my iphone or another people mobile doesnt work. no music.. auto play now working. no sound…
It is not related to the theme but your plugin. I guess that your plugin doesn’t support iphone.
However, this is a know issue. On iOS (for all devices, including iPad) and other mobile devices, preload and autoplay are disabled. The autoplay feature of audio and video is disabled to prevent unsolicited cellular download.
Anyway, I would recommend you to contact the plugin author for more information about this issue.

With WooCommerce and using Square as payment option there appears a bug whereby on first page load the input boxes for credit card info are not tall enough for the text to fit into so the top and bottom get cut off.
Have been trying custom CSS to fix the issue but without success:

Hi there!
When using Square payment, the payment form is directly from the Square website (inside the iframe) so your custom CSS won’t work with that form. The form and fields settings might be available in the plugin settings, I guess.
However, I just visited your Shop and Checkout page, that form looks great on my end. The height of each field is 55px, it is pretty big for me.

Hi, I downloaded and installed the updated version of vela theme. after installing the update my website disappeared, so i putted back my backuped files trough filezilla on the ftp, but it still don-t work. now i get an error message ///Fatal error: Call to undefined function wyde_get_color_scheme() in /web/htdocs/www.albaclimasrl.it/home/wp-content/themes/Vela/functions.php on line 367/// I don-t know much about programming so please when answering try to be very basic. Please ensure that you’ve updated all files in the theme folder. When you upload the theme file in Appearance -> Themes on your WordPress admin, it will replace the whole theme folder and all files inside there. If you’ve updated the theme manually, you will need to replace the whole folder to make sure all files will be replaced.
So, try to update the theme again to see if it works. Also, after you update the theme, you will see a notification message to update the Wyde Core and other bundled plugins, please update them all.
I updated the vela theme again using the ftp. i updated the Wyde Core plugin and the WPBakery Page Builder plugin. I still can-t see my homepage, i just see the tree loading dots. The other pages seams to be ok.
It might be a caching issue. If you have any cache plugin on your site, please ensure that you’ve purged all caches after updating the theme. If it still doesn’t work, please give me your site URL so I can take a closer look.

There is a PHP error on your home page, it says “syntax error”.
If you have edited any files in the theme folder, please replace them with the original files from the latest update of the theme. Otherwise, it might be a PHP compatibility issue. This theme and bundled plugins require PHP 5.6 or greater.
The easiest way to check the PHP version is using Display PHP Version plugin: https://wordpress.org/plugins/display-php-version/
I dont-t know exactly what you mean by “editing files in theme folder”, how do i know that? I builded the site pages with the page builder on a onepage website.
The PHP version is 5.6.32.
I guess there may be something wrong while you update the theme so it didn’t complete successfully.

The PHP code in the file page-onepage.php is different from the original version of the theme, seems like it has been modified. This issue is exactly the same as your first issue above (4 days ago) that you have an error below:
///Fatal error: Call to undefined function wyde_get_color_scheme() in .......functions.php on line 367///
That functions.php file is also different from the original file from the theme.
I have no idea why some files on your site are different from the original version. It seems like they have been edited for some reason.
Also, if you have updated the theme via FTP manually, there may be something wrong while uploading so some files haven’t been updated complete successfully.
Actually, if you have the Envato Market plugin installed on your site, you don’t need to update the theme manually. You can update it in Appearance -> Themes on your WordPress admin page. If there is a new update available to download, you will see a notification message and link to update it.
However, I have replaced that file on your site with the new one from the theme, it seems to work correctly now.

Please ensure that you’ve set the correct sender email in the Mail tab of the contact form.
The sender email address should belong to the same domain as your site. For example: wordpress@albaclimasrl.it
If it still doesn’t work, try to check the SMTP service on your web host and make sure your WordPress site can send out an email.

Vela-3 . I wanna get rid of line with red point. Slider revolution and click the gallery. And I wrote the letter at background picture. But when i do this , i couldnt see any line but if i finish and back to website , I can see the Line with red something.

That is a separator of the heading. You will need to edit the Vela:Heading and change the Separator Style to other ones that suit your needs. If you don’t like any separator, you will need to use a Custom Heading instead of Vela:Heading.
I wanna delete that one. I still can not understand about your explain..

I’m sorry, I thought that the line you mentioned is in your gallery page.
However, it sounds like it is included in the main slider at the top of the page.
So, you will need to edit that slider in Slider Revolution, double click on the heading text, then remove all HTML markups from the text.

Vela-3 , I edit the contact form for get the email from customer. Edit contact form -> Form Mail Message Additional settings (click the Mail ) --> To From Subject etc. Then I can see the ” Sender email address does not belong to the site domain.” How can i do that?? The sender email address should belong to your site domain. For example: If your domain is newyorkvvip.com, you should put ‘wordpress@newyorkvvip.com’ or other email accounts in the same domain name. If it sends an email from the same domain as your WordPress site, the email should be in the regular Inbox instead of Spam mail.

Actually, it should be included in your web hosting services. Check the mail service on your web host or ask your web host admin about this.

Hi !! vela-3 I wanna change the Portfolio title name that Skills.this mean is when i put the Portfolio , i can see the add new , Portfolio Categories , Portfolio Skills . But i wanna change name SKills when i put the Portfolio. I can see now Clients , Category , Skills . oh I also wanna change the Client to another name. How can i do that? 
Those words are included in the POT files. You will need to translate the theme to change them. Also, you don’t need to set the Skills, if you leave it blank, the Skills section won’t show up in the portfolio details.

1. It seems like it’s a bug of the theme when you have a top bar menu without page title. Thank you for reporting this issue. We will fix it in the next update.
2. Unfortunately, you couldn’t hide the featured image on the post detail page. If you set the single post layout as full-width (without sidebars), it will show a full-width featured image. If you’d like to make it smaller, you will need to show the sidebar as you can see in our demo: https://wydethemes.com/vela1/hugging-the-road/
However, if you’d like to hide the featured image instead of having a sidebar, you will need to add custom CSS below to Appearance -> Customize -> Additional CSS:

You will need to use the Portfolio Grid to display picture with description because the Image Gallery doesn’t allow you to show any text and description of the picture.
You can add multiple Portfolio elements to your site and can choose different items to show in each one.
Here’s a quick guide on how to use Portfolio.
1. Add portfolio item in Portfolio section, set the featured image and put the description to the text editor, then set the Portfolio Category to the portfolio item. You can add/edit the categories in Portfolio -> Portfolio Categories, e.g. Fruits, Vitamin.
2. Go to Pages to add a new page to show the portfolio, add a Vela:Portfolio to show the pictures from the portfolio items. In Custom Posts option in the Portfolio Settings window, click on a “Build query” button, then put category names (e.g. Fruits, Vitamin) into the Taxonomies field to display only specific categories.
3. In Appearance -> Menus, add your portfolio page to the menu so it will appear on your home page if you’re using one page site.
4. If you have another Portfolio, you can set different categories to show different items there.
I mean I already used it. ok. easy example. I already used the ALL NewYork Miami Lasvegas Chicago etc. And i wanna upload another thing for gallery. I like this style that Portfolio. But if I wanna add new one, I can make the New Portfolio item for display this Gallery menu. But i cant change the name that ALL NewYork Las Vegas. even I wanna change Vitamin, Water, Fruits etc. Because If i want to change this one (Portfolio Category menu) All of Portfolio name will change. Can not keep the ALL NewYork Miami if I change Fruits Water etc. I hope you understand this one.
Sure, I got it! I just show you how to use multiple portfolio grids on different sections/pages. That means, you don’t need to change New York, Miami, Chicago but you will need to add more, Fruits, Vitamin etc.
Then, you can choose only New York, Miami etc to display on one section, and choose Fruits, Vitamin to show your gallery on another one.
However, if you wouldn’t like to use Portfolio to show gallery, you will need to use the Image Gallery instead.

However, we don’t have a test drive to test the theme before purchasing because the main purpose of the theme is just to change the looks and frontend of your site. You can delete it in Appearance -> Menus. Edit the Primary menu and delete the Service page first, then add a Calendar page. You will need to check the “Open link in new tab” to make it open a new window. Have been using WooCommerce with WC Bookings plugin for the past 8 months. Many months ago I added some custom CSS for the Datepicker as per:
https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/woocommerce-bookings-calendar-css-style-elements/All was working well, and then as of a little while ago the CSS I added does not seem to change the colours etc of the Datepicker.
I added the CSS originally at Theme Options -> Advanced -> Head Content. I just tried shifting it to Appearance -> Edit CSS in case that effected things, but still no luck.
Wondering whether this could be caused somehow by a change in the Vela theme, or by an updated to the plugin?

Hi,
Updating the theme won’t affect your settings you made in Theme Options -> Advanced -> Head Content. I guess there may be a change in the plugin that makes your custom CSS doesn’t work correctly.

The CSS I had should have a bunch of blue colour on the calendar from Dec 15th onwards (when the products are available from…
I think that this is a bug of that plugin. If you change the month to January and change back to December, it will work.
After inspecting it, all dates have a class named ‘not-bookable’ when the page load so they are not blue. They will be changed to ‘bookable’ after you change the month.

The Vela 3 is a One Page site.
1. To change the name of the blog section on your home page, you will need to edit the page called “Our Blog” in the Pages section on your WordPress admin menu.
2. To upload the event and picture to your blog post, you will need to enable the page builder so you can build the post like you did with the page. You can enable it in WPBakery -> Role Manager, change the Post types to “Custom”, and select “post”. Then you can add the event and picture to the post.
3. To disable the comment section in Theme Options -> Blog -> Blog Single Post -> Comments.
4. This theme doesn’t include a Calendar plugin, you will need to install the third party plugin to use it. However, if you’d like to install it, I would recommend you to disable the AJAX Page Transitions option in Theme Options -> Page -> AJAX Options to avoid any conflict issue.
btw before i asked you abt i wanna put the music at background (use the plug in ) but if i disable to Ajax , music not keep going . reset music . but this option(Blog) is doesnt matter? because if i put the Blog , i saw the page changed. looks like new open the window.
