Hello, nice theme. but how i can activate the featured boxes (the switch is on)? There are not available in my self hosted wordpress installation. 2. how i activate the demo 2 layout?
Hey there, thanks for purchasing Marni!
You can find the instructions in the documentation.
For the Featured Boxes please go to Theme Features > Featured Boxes: http://www.files.red-sun-design.com/marni/readme/readme.html#themefeatures_help For the demo layout please go to Getting Started > 3. Import Theme Demo settings: http://www.files.red-sun-design.com/marni/readme/readme.html#gettingstarted_helpCheers!
Hi! I’m interested in purchasing your theme, but have a question before buying. Is there a way to customize the homepage so that the only thing that’s on the homepage are the “featured” boxes? I don’t want to include the blog posts below it. And is there a way to customize how many boxes are in the featured boxes section? Thank you!
Hey there, thanks for your interest in Marni!
There is not option to display just featured boxes on the front page. But this is an easy customisation in the theme files. Get in touch after your purchase and I’ll send you a child theme with those changes so you can use the featured boxes on the front page only. (what is a child theme: http://www.wpbeginner.com/glossary/child-theme/ )
Yes, you can display any number of boxes you wish and in any shape you wish (square, landscape, portrait, portrait high, undefined height – 1/4, 1/3, 2/3, 1/2 or fullwidth)
Cheers!
Thank you so much!! I’ve made the purchase, what’s the best way to receive the child theme?
Thanks for purchasing Marni! I will reply to the email you just sent me and send you a dropbox link to download the child theme. I’ll try to find time tomorrow morning to work on it. Cheers!

Hey there, thanks for purchasing Marni!
It looks like the demo content for the shop page did not get imported. Did you make sure to install and activate the WooCmmerce plugin before installing the demo content?
If you need any help with importing the demo data, please get in touch with the support tab and send me your link and login info.
Cheers!
Yea probably was that. I dont want to install woocommerce so its fine for me
Ty.
Hey hello author!
I just bought your theme and I have a lot of question here.
Can you read my message and reply it to my e-mail? thanks
Hey there! Just repied to your email!
okay, I want to ask you. I already understand your theme btw haha Now, I want to ask you somethin about code.. you use fa fa-navicon as your hamburger menu right? I want to change it, where’s fa-navicon belong btw?
hey author, Is it possible to change my hamburger into .png or change it by my own code? Can you give me some tips or tutorial about it? Which file should I change? thanks, I need your response ASAP. thanks!
Hey there,
you can find the code for the responsive menu icon in the file js/scripts.js, line 90:
label: '<i class="toggle-nav fa fa-navicon" />',You can change it for example to one of the following icons: https://fontawesome.com/v4.7.0/icons/
Cheers!
Yea, I knew that. Is that possible if I change it with .png or my own code (ex: just like bootstrap’s hamburger)
Yes, you can replace it with an image as follows:
label: '<img width="30px" height="30px" src="http://www.imageURL.png" />',
where should I upload the image btw? on my wp?
Sure, you can upload it in your WP admin.
btw, my tagline is hidden eventho I check it to display site title and tagline. how to show it?
or I didn’t aware maybe? haha
Yes, Marni doesn’t support displaying the tagline. Just the site title or a logo. Do you want me to give you instructions on what changes to make in the theme files in order to display the tagline?
yes give me the instruction please.
</h1> as well in line 23, right below </h3>, add the following code:
<h5 class="tagline"><?php bloginfo( 'description' ); ?></h5>
okay thanks!

That’s great to hear, thank you!
Hello .. I hope you have great sales at this site .. Follow me TOO
Thank you!
Excited to play with the theme. After installation of the main theme, I tried to install the child theme but got the message: “The package could not be installed. The theme is missing the index.php file.” Please advise with next steps.
Hey there!
Please open the child theme’s style.css file and change the lineTemplate: Marnito
Template: marniand then try again to install the child theme.
If this doesn’t work, you can still upload the child theme via FTP or simply copy the parent theme’s index.php file into the child theme folder.
I’ll fix this in the next theme update.
Cheers!
Hi sorry for all the questions, but was just wondering on your demo 1 would it be possible to add a shop widget/section bellow each post like on this site: http://preview.themeforest.net/item/averie-a-blog-shop-theme/full_screen_preview/19501512?_ga=2.7832562.110856941.1525416411-1732245664.1525416411
This page is using the Shopstyle collective widget. Here you can find instructions on how to get started with Shopstyle collective: https://blog.shopstylecollective.com/2015/07/01/getting-started-with-shopstyle-collective/#
You can then paste the widget’s embed code into your blog post to display it on single blog pages. At the moment there is no way to display that widget on the blog home page below each post (unless you decide to display the full post instead of the excerpt on the home page).
Hi, Just have another question before I purchase your theme if I wanted to use this layout http://marni.redsun.design/blog/black-mountain/ would I be able to change the hight of the feature image? I currently use visual composer for my post layouts will I still be able to use that for my post layouts with theme. Also My current post pages are full-width like this: http://thealexandraedit.com/my-february-to-do-list/ I don’t see this full-width layout in any of the demos would this be possible?
There is currently no option to change the height of the fullwidth featured image. I am planning to add an option in the next update. Until then, then height can be changed by simply adding 1 line of CSS code.
Changing the width of the single blog post content has already been requested by another customer so I will add this option in an update as well.
Yes, you can use visual composer with the theme.
Thanks so much for the quick response. Might stick with my current theme, then purchase your theme when the update comes as I don’t want to mess up my current post layouts.
Sure, no problem!
Hey there!
Just letting you know that I released an update for the theme today. Find an example for the new fullscreen option here: http://marni.redsun.design/blog/fullscreen-post/ There is now also an option to set the height for the Widescreen Thumbnails.
Have a great weekend!
Thanks so much that’s great. My Mum just purchased it Saturday so will tell her download the new version before she installs it.
HI, Just wondering does this theme support mega menu
Hey there, thanks for your interest in Marni!
I haven’t tested the theme with any mega menu plugin yet. Which mega menu plugin are you currently using?
Hey red_sun ! Amazing creative theme, that’s exactly what I was looking for !
Quick question, is there an option available to insert a fixed image (no slider) or a block of text between the header and the first post ? The goal of this is to “present” my blog rather than heading directly onto the first post.
If not possible, do you think it could be created with a bit of code ?
Thanks in advance and keep up the good work !
Hey there,
thanks for your interest in Marni!
I’m glad to hear you like the theme
Yeah you have two options to add some custom content above the posts.
1. You could either use the Featured Boxes for that (see those square boxes at the top of Demo 1). The box can contain any text, background image, text & images, buttons, shortcodes etc. Those boxes are super flexible, so you can either have just one box with 100% width and any height, or you can present your blog by adding multiple boxes with different images text etc.
2. Or you can use the “Home Top Sidebar” for that. This sidebar is also fullwidth (see “Most Popular Posts” in Demo 1) and into that sidebar simply add a Text Widget to add you text and images.
Let me know if you have any more questions!
Cheers!
Hello again, thanks for the quick reply, I really appreciate.
Perfect ! You answered my questions perfectly.
Keep up the good work !
Hi,
I am interested in purchasing the theme. However, I do have some questions first:
1. Is there a child theme included? 2. Is the latest Font Awesome version (5.0.10) included? I am interested in the Flipboard icon. 3. The Recommended for You section – is this a plugin? How are the related posts chosen? via tags, categories? 4. Every time I hit refresh on a post, it looks like it loads first another font, then it switches to the current font. – I am referring to the titles (I am using Chrome, latest version). 5. Can we make the topbar-content fixed when the user is scrolling up? 6. Is schema.org for articles implemented?
Thanks!
Hey there, thanks for your interest in Marni!
1. Yes, a child theme is included.
2. Font Awesome 4.6.3 is included at the moment. I added the Font Awesome update to the To Do list for the next theme update.
3. The recommended posts are random posts out of the same category.
4. The Google fonts issue should be fixed now.
5. There is no option to make the topbar fixed at the moment. I’ll consider adding this feature in an update.
6. Schema.org is not implemented. I did my best to follow best practices for accessible HTML and CSS. The code is based on underscores ( https://underscores.me/ ). If you are interested in taking a look at the code of some specific theme files let me know and I’ll send them to you.
Cheers!
Thanks for the quick reply! I have sent you a private message via the contact form on your website.
Got it! I just replied to your email.
Is the theme’s width also flexible, configurable via the customizer, or limited to 1200px?
Hey there! Thanks for your interest in Marni. I’m sorry but the theme’s width can not be set via the customizer, that would require adding some CSS code. At what width did you want your site to display?
Hello! I have just purchased after looking for such a long time, I love the different post types you have added, the clean and fresh look is what sold me. Thank you!
Aww that’s so great to hear! I hope you’ll enjoy working with the theme

Hey! Great work, love your theme. I have one question. The social icons at the Top Bar are not visible in Safari. Other Browsers works fine. Do you have a workaround for that?
Hey there,
thanks for purchasing Marni! I’m glad to hear you like the theme
I just checked my demo site again in Safari but couldn’t see the issue. Do you see the problem on your site only or also on the demo site?
Cheers!
Hey, thanks for your fast answer
I had the problem on both sites, but i solved it right now. The AdBlocker Extension was the bad guy
Oh great, I’m glad you figured it out
Great work! I wish you big sales!
Thank you!
Congratulations! Nice Work, Good Luck With Sale
