Is it possible to add or change the social media integrated icons? I want to add ‘Strava’ onto my site as it is a social platform but the standard theme doesn’t include this. Could I overwrite one of the other social platforms I am not using with my own uploaded icon with the help from some CSS for example?

Yes, you could override another with custom css – are you trying to replace one with an image? If so, please share your URL and the image src so I can provide an example snippet

Hey dabomb, Salient is using a customized version of WPBakery page builder – I’ve tested templatera and a few element addons such as All in one addons/Ultimate addons. Some of their elements may be similar to ones Salient is already including, so there could be styling (css) conflicts with those. However, I’m unaware of any other issues.

Awesome theme. I have 2 questions. On the Corporate Creative theme — how did you achieve the testimonial overlapping the image to the right of the text?
I’ve loaded the demo content for the Corporate Creative theme but cannot get fully rounded buttons even when this option is selected. Any idea why? Thanks!

I’ve noticed that all of my sites using the Salient theme have stop autoplaying video headers in Chrome. I take it to be a new “feature” in Chrome 66, but it sucks. Any workaround to enable autoplaying video backgrounds? Thanks in advance!

The Nectar Slider video BGs don’t offer the option to add the “muted” attribute like row video BGs so Chrome won’t start playing until you interact with the webpage. However, I’ve added the fix for this into the current beta now where the video BGs have the muted attribute by default. Is there a way of turning animated page transitions and Ajax on for some pages and off for others? I would like to turn it on for home page and case studies (projects) but login page and account area it conflicts with the javascript so would like to turn off only for these pages, thanks in advance for your help

That would require some javascript modding as of now, is there any reason you don’t want to use the standard transition method instead of AJAX?

Hi, thank you so much for the reply. I really do not mind using the standard transition, but the problem is when I use it, some of my pages for example my login page and register page do not load, it just loads a blank screen because of maybe a JS conflict? So I would love to have the nice transitions with the loading circle for majority of my pages but just turn it off for login, register, account and forgot password page so they load fine and there is not conflict. Thank you

Hello author, after I did an upgrade through the Envato market plugin to the latest theme 8.5.5, my home page shows two issues. www.spicyspirit.com
The main issue is the text block under the home slider is missing the texts. Right now it shows a white belt.
The 2nd issue is the caption in the home slider “Results-Driven Digital Marketing” used to be displayed in one row without breaking up.
Do you know how to resolve these two issues? Thanks in advance!

1. Have you also verified that you updated the WPBakery page builder plugin to latest version in WP admin > Plugins tab after the theme update & that no third party plugins you may have active are causing the issue?
2. add this into the custom css box in your Salient options panel:

Hey harrisdesigned, when using the “One Page Scroll Support (Animated Anchor Links)” option in the Salient options panel > general settings > functionality tab, the offset should be taken care of. If it’s not for you, please share the page URL so I can take a look

Thank you, is the most convenient way to search for an icon to navigate to this folder in Cpanel or FTP and open one by one? I am attempting to change four on the homepage, was hoping from bakery edit page you could just select the icon and browse a list of icons, this is usually much easier. Cheers
Hey anthonysinclair, there is indeed an icon element inside of the page builder – if you’re starting point was an older demo before that element was added, you could just remove them and add them through the icon page builder element

In the Salient options panel > general settings > functionality tab, select “fancyBox3” for the “Theme Lightbox”. If you don’t have that option, you need to update your version of Salient

Hello, I’ve set up my team’s page using the Team Member tool. When on mobile and I open a bio I notice that the scrolling is not smooth/infinite but it stops as soon as I stop scrolling.
I’ve checked the code and changed the overflow into scroll mode, but it still doesn’t work.

Hey, thanks for your answer. When I remove the line the whole text isn’t scrollable anymore – what scrolls is the page ‘behind’ the bio’s, but not the text on the bio. What do you suggest to change?

Hey mircofragomena, some devices were known to have issues scrolling on a fixed element which is why we added the javascript workaround to ensure overflowing content in the about modal was always scrollable. I’ve noted to investigate other solutions, however if the above has left the content unscrollable for you i’m afraid the best solution as of now is to add back in the default theme scrolling function
By chance is there a recommended plugin for a booking calendar? One that is easily matched to the themes options? Are there plans for you to build a calendar feature in Salient?
