The page loads for too long. Before I wrote, I read the forum. Tried to disable plugins: JNews – View Counter and – JNews – Social Share, but it did not help. Can you help?
hi altblog, i test your website and i don’t see any issue on it. can you point me where you have the problem? and how you test those ajax request being slow?
btw those request ajax need to update database. if you still having issue with slowness on ajax, you can try to check it first. ajax request is not cached, so it just like accessed your website normally. so any slowness on your server will impact ajax request.
we use those ajax request for cache busting. so even with cache like wp super cache that won’t touch any php file, it will still serve right content.

Hey the JNews – Frontend Submit plugin is keeping non-admin users from logging in. Clearing the cache does not work and neither does changing the web browser.

The Frontend Submit plugin blocks non admin wp users (ex authors, editors , users) from logging in. If they try to access the wp dashboard, the page redirects the user back to the home page. We cleared the cache and tried every web browser. The issue was only resolved once the Frontend Submit plugin was disabled.

we are purposely disable access to admin panel for people who register to your site. but if you need to enable it, you can make small change on the code. go to your wordpress plugin folder > jnews-frontend-submit > include > class > class.jnews-frontend-template.php and remove line 48.

And for the case you can’t add Helvetica…could you please make it easier in V3 to use Google Fonts locally? Google Fonts (loaded from their servers) is not allowed anymore with the new GDPR law in Europe. Only when stored locally. Maybe you can bundle the theme with some of the best Google Fonts, e.g. Roboto and Lato. That would be awesome!

Hi,
Select “Sans Serif” in the Font Family option. It should load Helvetica font. Regarding GDPR please navigate to JNews : Additional Option > GDPR Compliance option. You could upload the google fonts file by using Custom Font option.

Yep got it thanks but after the recent update I’ve been getting reports from users that my site doesnt load images. Here’s what it looks like instead:

Update: turns out it was a clash between Akismet lazy load and Jnews theme lazy load. Had to turn off plugin one by one to find the problem xD but yea, thought I would share it in case someone else has the same issue it could save some of your time

Regarding post date, it showing the latest modified date. If you edit the post, it will show the current date when you update the post.

Hello I have a problem. I try to override default template for an especific post. For instance, I installed the GAME demo and i try to change the template for the “Kojima provides update…” I go to control panel -> edit post ->jnews single post setting -> I turn on override “global template setting” and i choose template 6 (or any other) below i choose fullwidth on single blog post layout and then apply. the i visit the page and i realize that social button, counters, post related etc have changed according to the override default template options…. but the header and the layout are the same as the default template!!!! I mean i still see the sidebar on the right and a medium size picture below the title..exactly as the default…then i tried this…I turn off override “global template setting” for this article and after that i go to jnews customization settings -> jnews: single post option -> single post option and i try to change the template… but still nothing happen !!! no matter what template/layout i choose i still see the sidebar and the “medium” header (text and below the picture) what am i doing wrong? is there any other setting i forgot to change?? some plugin?? what?

If you enable Auto Load Next post feature, you need to change the post layout from: JNews : Single Post Option > Auto Load Scroll Post Option. If you don’t want to use the Auto Load Next Post feature, you need to disable plugin JNews – Auto Load Next Post.

We move the language switcher into Drawer Content section. On the mobile header, there’s no much space to put language switcher element it’s why we move it into the Drawer Content section.
Also, on the changelog, we talk about the general header, not specify about mobile header top bar. I’m sorry if it makes you confusing in there. In this case, you need to do some changes there.

hi dreamjobma, we have option to set your background ads on customizer > JNews : Advertisement Option > Background Ad’s URL . we don’t have shortcode as you said above. but we think, we will build something like those kind of ads on next version. we have those option on our jmagz themes, but its quite complicated to be implemented on this themes. hopefully we can make it work on this version.
