Did the theme change? My website is full of [content_block bg_color=”#c4c4c4” max_bg_width=”yes” content_padding=”0px 0” font_color=”#FFFFFF” class=”custom-padding”] instead of actually showing it =(

what do you mean by “theme change”? Do you mean update? If you updated it then try again, sounds like it didn’t go through properly. Hi, is there an option to include a new required field “checkbox” with a text under the contact form module before the user is submitting a form? Or Do we need to use an external contact form? For the new GDPR policy it is necessary to include a button like that, that the user is accepting the data policies.

yes, I’ll be releasing an update in the next couple of days in which I’ll add the necessary consent checkbox and also a field to tell users which personal data you want to collect and have a link to your privacy policy page, something required for GDPR compliance.

My client is using version 2.3 of uDesign. Can this be easily upgraded to your latest version? Also the previous developer did not create a child theme will this cause issues or is trhere anyway to bring any customizations across.

if the theme was heavily customized NOT using a child theme but rather hacking the theme’s core files then yes it would be an issue updating. Well, the update will go through fine but you’ll most likely lose all customizations. You need to know what was modified if any.

I am really considering to use this theme on my project but i have a few question i need an answer first.
1. will the theme compatible with Gutenberg that will be included with WP 5.0? 2. if i finished building the site before WP 5.0 released, will it still look OK after the WP 5.0 released? 3. what’s your plan on WP 5.0 and Gutenberg? i need to know my options

thank you for your interest in the U-Design theme.
I will make sure the theme is compatible with Gutenberg when it because officially included into WP core. I don’t think this will happen in the next few months, probably it’s more realistic for this Fall.
I did do some testing and did not see any major issues with the theme at this stage, but if there are I’ll make sure to address them.

facing issue while updating theme: An error occurred while updating U-Design: Could not copy file. u-design/lib/u-design-cmb2/cmb2/languages/cmb2-da_DK.po
that’s odd, probably some folder permissions issue on your server. Ask to your host to fix all your file and folder permissions for your WordPress installation. Anyhow, if it’s just that file you can do without, it is not an important file. If you however start seeing many other files not being able to be copied then maybe consider deleting the theme first and then uploading it. Paid for support, but am not allowed to submit a Discussion/Question. I get this message: Your account is “View Only” because you have never signed in with Envato to confirm your support status. To update your support status please sign in with this link. For more information read this post. However, at the bottom of the screen, I see this contradictory message: “Your account has been upgraded to “Member” status. Feel free to post questions.”
I JUST PAID and upgraded my support and Authenticated via Envato twice….yet it somehow does not “stick”. Please advise what the problem is with me getting support!

you’re good to go with the support! Don’t worry about this message, sometimes it would not go away because of browser caching, so you just need to sign out and then back into the forum If you see the big blue button that says “New Discussion” then you’re good, “View Only” accounts cannot have that button which is only for full “Member” account who are able to start new discussion. So just check that. If you still issues with this please email me and I’ll fix it.

there i no mobile manu option? i see only primary and since mobile is so strong i think the theme should have a mobile manu option

you probably missed that option but the theme offers full “Responsive Layout” section in the options. Make sure to enable it and inside there you will see you have choice for 2 mobile menus.

Hi there, thank you but I meant that i cant create a new manu for the mobile users. the “Responsive Layout” is active for me and when i go to manage the postions, there is only one manu option and its the primary manu. I would love to create a new manu just for the mobile that will be shorter.
is there an option for a new manue for mobile users?
also, it doesnt help or change the manu according to the breakpoints
I see what you mean, no currently there is no option for that., sorry.
In general if you could generate a new menu with unique ID then you’ll just have to reference that ID in the theme’s mobile menu JS files to load that menu, I think that should work. I don’t have any working solution ready to give you for that at the moment.

have bought udesign theme for the ubuild template for contractors but I cannot find where to get it from. Any ideas? The theme at the moment looks terrible, cant seem to edit much, menu is also messed up, cant see anywhere to put the header image or logo, i’m confused, can someone point me in the right direction so i can preload a template so my site looks exactly the same as the ubuild demo here http://udesigntheme.com/demos/ubuild/

As you wish, just keep in mind that everyone else here isn’t an expert either and they can import the theme perfectly fine following the instructions, not sure what you find so difficult!!

Still one of my favorite themes of all time . Having an issue though with the recent WP updates – specifically the RESPONSIVE MENU 2 is not showing up (just the bar, no menu icon) on the sites we use this for. I can say all sites are updated to 2.13.11, but using the CHILD THEME. Something with that perhaps?
