Actually we have updated the Theme to version 4.4.4 on 08.06.2018 having some fixes you will find here in changelog: https://themeforest.net/item/porto-responsive-wordpress-ecommerce-theme/9207399#item-description__change_logs but we have not changed its version text to the Theme files that is why it is showing 4.4.3, so just download the latest version you will find the latest Theme with the latest fixes showing in the changelog.

Hi,

After updating from v4.3.1 to v4.4.3 child theme settings are saved but not visible on site.

I compared a backup folder: /wp-content/themes/porto/css to the same folder after update and CSS files are not the same…

Same setting, but not the same CSS generation. see folder compare: https://prnt.sc/jryyaf

I saved again the settings (everything looks good on admin) but still, the correct CSS isn’t written.

I created a new child theme through the setup wizard and did all the settings again but still no change.

I disabled all cache and minify and still, the issue remains.

Do you have any idea what is going on?

Hi,

I think it is the permission issue. Please set the child theme CSS folder permission to 777 then check your site. I hope it will solve your issue. Otherwise you have to purchase the support then we will debug your site and solve it for you.

And also Could you please purchase support extension to get further support? Your 6 months of support period is now expired. According to Envato support policy, renewing support is required for further support.

Well… Since I first bough the theme, this is first time I asked a question about it.

It isn’t permissions. When I save, files are written to the css folder:

bootstrap.css, bootstrap_1.css, bootstrap_rtl.css, bootstrap_rtl_1.css, skin_1.css, skin_rtl.css, skin_rtl_1.css

The things is, those are the files with default values and not according to settings made in theme options.

1. For Removing Size Guide Tab: The Size Guide Tabel comes from Appearance >> Theme Options >> Woocommerce >> Single Product Page: https://prnt.sc/iog8ke and you can see in the screenshot clearly that Block is being used to create that tab so go to Blocks find the particular Block: https://prnt.sc/iog8kv and just edit and change as per your requirement and as you said that you want to disable/remove the Size guide tab from Single Product Page so just remove the Block Slug name from Appearance >> Theme Options >> Woocommerce >> Single Product Page: https://prnt.sc/iog8ke and check your site after removing the browser cache.

2. For removing BUY THIS THEME you have to go to Appearance >> Theme Options >> Menu and scroll down to the page you will find Menu Custom Content just remove or change it as per your requirement. Please see this screenshot for the better understanding: https://prnt.sc/jrw1mw

my ecommecer has grown a lot and the resources of the server are running out.

the porto theme is creating 19 different images for each upload that I make.

I use only home, category, single product page, can you see here: acessoriosdahelo.com.br could you tell me which images the system really needs to work?

I have the list below and I would like to know which ones I should not delete so as not to affect the site.

I would like to know how to disable the creation of images that my site does not need.

This is default function for the themes, themes generate thumbnails accordingly as these will be used somewhere on the pages of the website.

OR

Please use this plugin WP Optimizer: https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-optimize/ It will optimize images and reduce storage capacity. It is not possible to generate desired number of thumbnails as mentioned earlier.

I have a problem with the Portfolio, Blog and Shop Archieve page. By default, this page does not have its own open graph data for facebook, meta description, OG Image, even dont have Page Description. This which controls the snippet Google will show in search results. What I did is that:

1. Portfolio: I created a Page name Portfolio (slug: portfolio) and called this page frpopm Theme Options > Portfolio > Portfolio Page > (Selcted the Custom Portfolio Page)

2. Shop: WooCommerce > Products > Shop Page > (Selected Custom Shop Page)

3. Blog: Settings > Reading > Your homepage displays > Posts page > (Selected Custom Blog Page)

If I try to fetch all three URLs from Facebook or LinkedIN, it pull post image from my website Home Page rather then archive page.

You have to go to Appearance >> Theme Options >> SEO and enable Microdata Rich Snippets: http://prntscr.com/jrvy2q This option is showing your post details or page details on the Google page when someone searches your site. Thanks for your reply. In Theme Options > SEO > It is written that “Compatible with Yoast SEO Plugin” but I am using SEOPress.org SEO plugin which is much better then Yoast. So what is the Solution? or any other way I can accomp;lish the same task?

Hi, I’m really enjoying using the Porto theme. Thanks! My question is about the requirement to use the WPBakery plugin. Is it absolutely necessary? My site seems to run well without it activated except for the messages on the dashboard saying that I need to install it. Are there specific features that require the plugin that maybe I’m not using? Also, with the major changes to the WordPress editor (Gutenberg) coming up, are there plans to continue using the WPBakery plugin or will you be switching to the native editor? Best Regards.

There are two Plugins which are necessary or required for the Porto WordPress Theme and those are WPBakery and Porto Functionality Plugins and as you said that your site works perfectly fine without using the WPBakery Plugin and you do not want to use it so it is up to you can or cannot. Although if you install any demo then it will give you error without installing a WPBakery Plugin and if you will not use WPBakery Plugin you will not be able to use the functionality of it.

And there are no such plans to replace the WPBakery Plugin with WordPress editor (Gutenberg) coming up yet but our development team will work on it.

It must be any third party plugin confliction issue at your end so please deactivate your site all the third party plugins and check your site after removing the cache hope you will not find an issue and after that again activate your site all the third party plugins one by one and check which one is creating an issue for you.

Or please make sure that you are using the latest Version of the Theme and Plugins if not then Please update it first.

It seems that Porto Functionality files are crashed, so please go to wp-dashboard >> plugins and delete the Porto Functionality Plugin and upload the Porto Functionality Plugin again from wp-dashboard >> plugins and activate it hope you will not find an issue if yes then contact us through our support system we will check and solve it for you.

I found the error with the product variations… When the variation stay in “Button” style and your name has space like this “2 to 4 years”, the system cannot select this variation. When I change style to “Select Box” it works normally. Can you check this? I really like to use Buttons…
