Check the Salient options panel > header navigation tab and the Salient options panel > header navigation > transparency tab to ensure no sample logos are remaining in your setup after importing a demo

I’ve enabled the option “Move Dynamic/Custom CSS Into External Stylesheet”, but some of the custom css I added doesn’t work afterwards. Do you have any idea how can I work around that?

Even after installing w3 total cache, Salient is one of the slowest themes I’ve used on mobile :/ I’m so disappointed. How can I improve it?

1. Can you share a URL and let me know one of the CSS snippets that is not taking effect so I can look? The external dynamic stylesheet has a slightly different order than the internal location so you may just need to make the selector slightly more specific to still get the override

Right align a small divider line? I’d like to right-align a small divider line like you would if you were to go left/center. I tried sourcing an answer through the comments, but it’s like a needle in a haystack. I found one that referenced making the divider displaying as inline-block, but that still didn’t work.

Also – as a request for future edits to the theme/visual composer – now that it’s WP Bakery it may not be part of you, but is there a note to add the divider height in the VC area, versus having to open the divider up and see what the settings are at?

I know there are a lot of comments about GDPR however just a quick input. A lot of answers here are that you recommend free or premium GDPR plugins. If I look at the Uncode theme found here: https://themeforest.net/item/uncode-creative-multiuse-wordpress-theme/13373220?_ga=2.161035453.1499037054.1528574790-1703060847.1527520575 they have implemented a great and simple way to use GDPR straight from their theme. WOuld recommend doing the same for less plugins and clean theme integration into salient. Thanks.
Hey timtimtim, we may in the future integrate a built in option for this, but in the meantime we have tested the popular free ones such as https://wordpress.org/plugins/gdpr-cookie-compliance/ and there should be no issues with them working with Salient.

Also it seems only logged in users are getting search results. Guest users are getting no results found for Woocommerce products?
Found the cause of the 2nd part of the issue but would still like to know how to change the search prompt text, without having to edit theme php file (happy to overload it in child theme but not sure the correct hooks)

I got another question, on mobile, how can I make the header smaller? 1. To add links into the copyright bar, you’d need to modify the footer.php file as of now (links of course can go in the widget areas above without modification though) – this can also be kept in a child theme. Just search for “copyright” to end up at the right location
2. If you’re referring to the page header row area titled “CONDITIONS TREATED” – use percent based padding values for the top/bottom padding. So for example, instead of using 250px – use values like 15%
3. On the unordered list added inside of the toggle, remove the class “fa-list-exclamation-triangle”
4. Check out the Salient options panel > typography > general HTML elements tab at the “Heading 3” section

Are you going to support Youtube Cookie-less embeds? They’ve had this for years, but I’m not seeing it as a supported domain in the function nectarExtractYoutubeId().

Hey ClearPG, that function is only getting the ID and then passing it to the javascript Youtube library to create the embed i.e. YT.Player – whether the no-cookie domain was used or not wouldn’t effect the BG embed, the only options that are available are listed in the docs here: https://developers.google.com/youtube/player_parameters

1. We don’t provide any additional integration for buddypress, it will simply inherit the theme defined styles for tables,inpus etc
2. Google fonts will only be loaded if some are selected in the options panel – you also don’t need to display social media links if not desired
3. Yes
4. Salient requires the WPBakery page builder for content creation – other plugins are optional such as WooCommerce, Contact Form 7 etc

You’d need to use the Full Width Portfolio Item Layout if you want to use custom elements such as the fancy unordered list – unfortunately it would require modding to have that in the sidebar area. The only way to have a colored checklist in that location by default is by displaying the selected “project attributes”
